I just loved Four Weddings and a Christmas, read in a day I just could not put it down. Another great feel good book by Phillipa Ashley. Perfect for cozying up in the winter months and loosing a few hours in this fantastic storyline. I just love reading any book by Phillipa and this book did not disappoint.
A lovely festive romance book - you were never in doubt of where it was going but it was a nice read to get there...
I really enjoyed this second chance romance and especially since it was a Christmas book. Both main characters have had uneasy pasts. Freya's has gained a reputation of bolting, but she overcomes her fear a second time with Travis, her first love.
Beautiful, wonderful warm book, enchanting read. This is the first book I have read by Philippa Ashley and it will not be the last.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC of this book.
Christmas books are one of my favourite types of books to read and this didn’t disappoint.
Magical, festive and romantic, another great read from Philippa Ashley.
The story rings so true to life. Our childhood is the beginning of the way we go, and our loves and losses are always there. As we take one day at a time! Good story and hard to put down!
I have read a lot of Phillipa Ashley's books and really enjoyed this one. I look forward to reading more.
A lovely Christmas romance. Set in the lake district during the holidays a rekindle romance takes center stage amidst all the Yuletide festivities. A strong business minded woman, an ex and the romance if Christmas. Wonderful read.
A brilliant read and one I really enjoyed. The characters are loveable. The plot is one that is engaging and I found myself completely drawn into the story and enjoyed the writing style.

Can the spirit of Christmas reignite an old flame?
With her thriving business Cottage Angels, Freya Bolton prepares the Lake District’s holiday homes for Christmas visitors. It’s her job to think of everything, from cinnamon-scented candles to tasteful decorations and hampers of seasonal treats.
If only her love life were such a success… After being burned by past relationships, she’s now determined to steer clear of love for good.
So when she bumps into gorgeous – and single – ex-boyfriend Travis, a no-strings festive fling seems perfect.
But when her feelings for him begin to develop, is she on track for another romantic calamity? Or could this Christmas give her the gift of true love?
My Opinion
I can read a Christmas book at any time of year, and this was such a delightful book to read on a miserable day. This was such a heart-warming festive read with some delightful characters. With a lovely setting this is going to make for a great addition to your festive reading.
Rating 4/5
Yet another beautifully told tale. Great for curling up under a cosy blanket and escaping on a winter’s night. This is a writer I love coming home to.
I love a Christmas rom com and this was just the ticket. Sofa blanket. Hot chocolate and this. It’s perfect.
This was just the loveliest story about Freya and Travis, reconnecting when Travis moves back to their hometown.

Fantastic setting for the ex boyfriend to return, looking to satisfy unrequited love! I think the lakes and the cabins were the perfect backdrop for this relationship to find its way - and make for a fun read at Christmas time.
Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book.
Freya runs her own business called Cottage Angels where she prepares holiday homes for visitors. Her latest job is to get the cottages ready for Christmas and needs to think of everything clients want. When she bumps into her single ex boyfriend Travis she embarks on a holiday fling with Travis. All is going well and her plans for it to only be a festive fling are on track when she starts to develop feelings for Travis. Can the relationship continue or will it end in disaster?
"Four Weddings and a Christmas" by Phillipa Ashley is a heartwarming holiday romance that combines the magic of Christmas with the complexities of love. Freya Bolton, dedicated to her thriving business Cottage Angels, finds herself navigating the intricacies of preparing holiday homes in the Lake District for Christmas visitors. Despite her professional success, Freya is determined to steer clear of love after past heartbreaks.
I rated "Four Weddings and a Christmas" 4 stars because Ashley masterfully captures the festive spirit and weaves it into a delightful romance. The encounter with Freya's handsome ex-boyfriend, Travis, sets the stage for a no-strings-attached festive fling, but as emotions resurface, the story takes unexpected turns.
The novel strikes a perfect balance between heartwarming moments and romantic tension, making it a delightful read for the holiday season. Ashley's storytelling and well-developed characters create a cozy atmosphere, making "Four Weddings and a Christmas" a charming and satisfying Christmas romance.
A fabulous read to curl up with on a cold day because it will warm you right up with the intoxicating romance.

Freya, owner of Cottage Angels, is getting her Lake District properties ready for the Christmas season when she bumps into her ex, Travis, who happens to be staying in one and now a famous photographer. When Freya hears that her ex-boyfriend is coming back to the village, she vows to avoid him for as long as possible. However, she is putting finishing touches to one of the rental cottages she manages when the next renter arrives – and of course it is Travis! They embark on a secret, no strings fling, but of course life is never that simple. This novel set in the festive season is such a treat. The characters are all suitably complex and there are plenty of twists and turns to the plot. But ultimately this is a festive treat and is perfect for reading when you come in from the cold and settle down in front of a crackling fire! Loved it!!
