Omfg Lucian and Sloan were the perfect completion to the Knockemout series. I don't even have words to express how I feel about this series. Have you ever read a book after putting it off for so long out of fear that the series is ending ---that's this book for me. It was everything and yet left me wanting and screaming for more. Sloan was so raw, and Lucian's character growth was perfection. I wish I could read this book again for the first time.

If you want to feel while also reading a great story Lucy score is the author for you! All her books are just so lovely plus if you like a little spice she always delivers! I loved this whole series. Although you can read them independently I recommended starting at book 1! This was a great story with really good character development and of course a happy ending!

This was the book I’ve been waiting for from the beginning. It was spicy and the best of the characters of the series. A lot of Lucy’s books become a little outlandish but I love them anyway.

This book was insufferably long. I don't understand. I'm so so sorry. I desperatley wanted to love this book but I simply did not have it in me to read the whole thing.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. I have heard such great things about author Lucy Score, and I had high hopes for this book, but I was so bored by the plot and characters I DNF it.

Things We Left Behind is the third and final installment in the Knockemout series. Second chance romance, childhood friends to enemies to lovers. This was probably my favorite in the series. My librarian heart could never not love Sloane, the feisty small town librarian. And of course, Lucien…. Aka suit daddy. Dark and broody, willing to burn down the world for anyone he cares about. This book builds on the foundation of the first two books and ties up all the loose ends. Trigger warnings for domestic violence, and childhood abuse. If you enjoy small town romances and other Lucy Score books, you will enjoy TWLB!

My heart!! Seeing Sloane and Lucian finally get together after their childhood history made me giddy with joy! This was truly my favorite one in the Knockemout trilogy, I truly am a sucker for librarians with the "bad boys". It was also nice to revisit back with the characters from the previous books and see how their relationships are going. Sloane is definitely my favorite Knockemout protagonist, not just cause she's a librarian as well but I loved her determination and her heart for others. I also adored Lucian and how he was secretly such a softie deep down inside, especially when it came to the Walton family (I cried a bit finding out he helped them out with the cancer medical bills). Anyways, this was perfection!

As soon as I saw Lucian and Sloane’s interaction in the first book I NEEDED their story, and hands down, it did not disappoint. The BEST book in the series for me and what a wonderful way to close out the series. The ANGST, the TURMOIL, it was the perfect amount without feeling TOO drug out and tiresome. I cried so many times I lost count. I’m tearing up typing this review. There’s just so much history between these two characters and it is beautifully integrated into the story. We are provided that background and get to witness the characters finally overcoming that history and moving forward together. Lucian’s character growth is just chef’s kiss. And the SMUT🥵 HOLY COW. Absolutely fire. 10/10 recommend Things We Left Behind!

My favorite from Lucy Score so far. Suit Daddy is one of the best MMCs I've ever read. Cannot wait to read more from Score!

"Things We Left Behind" by Lucy Score is a captivating romance that blends deep emotion with a compelling storyline. The characters are relatable, and their journey is both heartfelt and engaging. A must-read for fans of contemporary romance.

Actual Rating: 4.75 — this was definitely my favorite out of the series, there was just so much build up between Sloane and Lucian and I was looking forward to it. The only reason it’s not quite a 5 star is because Lucian sometimes was just too frustrating with how he acted and his unrealized feelings. Other than that I liked how we saw into the past and got to experience it rather than just be told what happened (even though it was tough to read). I liked the build up and tension between them and all the banter (Lucifer, not today Satan, etc.). I loved how all the loose ends were tied up completely and we got answers to all things surrounding Nash’s shooting, Lucian’s mom, the list, and Anthony Hugo. I LOVED the ending and all the emotions it evoked. I loved the bonus content and extra insight into their futures. It was overall a really great book and I highly recommend this series for those who love small town interconnected romances, with good plots and amazing chemistry!

An absolute perfect end to one of my favorite series of all time. Lucian and Sloane's romance was exactly what I wanted it to be with the tension and the spice and the angst. And the way Lucian just switches and the end and how he acts for the rest of the book? I was absolutely swooning. I am going to miss the Knockemout series more than I thought possible and I hope in the future we get Waylay's book!!

Thank you #netgalley for a copy in exchange for my honest review

I was so excited to read this book early. I’ve loved the other two Knockemout books and the build up to Sloane and Lucien’s story has been intense! I was looking forward to banter, angst, and the reveal of the couple’s emotional backstory. Unfortunately the buildup didn’t meet my expectations. I also found the book to be unnecessarily long with portions that seemed to drag on. Glad I read it but not my favorite of the series.

I’ve had this series on my list and was so excited to read it! I gobbled it up as soon as I began The Things We Never Got Over, and while that book still holds first place in my heart, I loved getting Lucian and Sloane’s story. Their chemistry was so
good, and I loved the way they sorted out their past issues and gave it a chance. Their banter was top notch that had me laughing so much!

WHAT TO EXPECT
-grumpy x sunshine
-childhood friends to lovers
-small town
-emotional
-spicy

The best book in the trilogy! The build-up for this couple was so great throughout the series and the story didn't disappoint. The duel timelines gave a plausible reason as to why they were "enemies", so the journey to lovers was even sweeter.

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, so I wanted to love Things We Left Behind as well, but unfortunately this book just wasn’t for me. There were too many unnecessary plot points that dragged on that had me feeling bored and it felt 200 pages too long.

I absolutely adore the Knockemout series and this may be my favorite of the three. This is Lucian and Sloane’s story and the chemistry was absolutely sizzling. They both have a lot to deal within their past but they eventually find their way back to each other and learn to love despite the difficulties they faced. It’s definitely GrumpyxSunshine with some childhood friends and a second chance romance. This story was both heartbreaking and satisfying and it was nice to finally see their story after the snippet from Book 1.

Finally, we get the scoop on Lucien and Sloan's backstory – something I've been curious about, and I bet you have too!

Their dynamic is so intriguing, especially since they have a shared history growing up in neighboring houses. Throughout the first two books of the Knockemout series, we've been left wondering why they can't stand each other. And yes, that means the Morgan brothers and the rest of the gang are back in action in the last of the series..

If you're a fan of the series so far, "Things We Left Behind" is an absolute must-read. Lucy Score nails it with Lucien and Sloan's story, and she ties up the whole series beautifully.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Bloom Books for giving me the chance to read this novel in exchange for my honest thoughts. Trust me, you won't want to miss it!

The Facts: Enemies to lovers, grumpy vs sunshine vibes, touch her and d!e, flashbacks, oodles and oodles of sexual tension, suit daddy.

A regret that I have? That it took me SO long to read this. However, I'm really happy that this was my first read of 2024 (yes, I'm really late on my reviews.) I wanted to read this so badly when it first came out, but my brain refused to let me because y'all, I'm SO sad that this series is over.

This book was perfection. It's definitely my favorite out of the books (but Naomi and Knox will always have a special place in my heart.) This book was funny, sexy, sad, and had action. There was never a dull moment. I am living for Suit Daddy AKA Lucian. He was the moment. The sexual tension between Lucian and Sloane was sexual tensioning, and I went wild over it. The banter was amazing.

This is a series that I will reread every year. It feels like home.

Sidenote, I'm really hoping for a Waylay book in the future.
