I love Lucy score so much and this was such a highly anticipated read that absolutely didn’t disappoint!! Sloane and Lucian had me on my knees for them at every moment, I was so obsessed!! Their chemistry and Lucy’s signature slow burn made this book unputdownable!!

MY THOUGHTS:
First things first. Can we take a moment to appreciate this Goodreads rating?! This book published in September 2023 & has maintained a 4.45 rating 🤯😮💨 Clearly I’m not the only one who LOVED this romance! 😍
Sloane and Lucian’s story was one I was DYING to read!! I knew dark & mysterious Lucian mixed with sassy & stubborn Sloane would bring insane chemistry… and whew, it sure did! 😩🙌 These two had such a strong magnetic pull and angst that made this an addicting read. ❤️🔥 Understanding the characters’ backstories really brought so much emotion. I love Score’s writing because she always finds humor, found family, and emotional tension in every story she writes. 🥺 I am so pleased with how this series ended. I can’t wait to see what Score writes next! She’s an auto-buy author for me 🤓
RATING EXPLAINED:
This book was a lot of dang pages you guys 🥲😂 Don’t get me wrong… I still ate this romance up, but every book in this series was sooooo looong. (Book 1 remains my FAVE. That one actually didn’t feel long & I flew through it!) In the end, I feel so happy with Sloane & Lucian’s story being the perfect “cherry-on-top” to wrap up this series!! 🥹🍒 Highly recommend!

Oh My Gosh LUCY SCORE!!! What a wonderful end to this series. This childhood friends to enemies to lovers story was masterfully done with some of the best tension I've read this year. The PINING the YEARNING the WANT I just can't. And the scene after Sloane gets hurt??? TOP TIER.
In summary, I love with book with all of my heart
AMAZING! i loved it so much lucy score really ate with this one. i really wish she was releasing more books!!
This was an ok ending to the series but it just got really long with too many unnecessary plot points.
Thank you Netgalley for this ARC! I have really enjoyed the Knockemout series but book 2 fell a little flat for me. I almost didn’t read book 3 but I’ve had a thing for Lucian Rollins since book 1 so I’m so glad I read this one! For anyone disappointed in book 2, read this one! You won’t regret it. Lucian and Sloane Watson have been best friends since childhood. They were next door neighbors so they knew each other’s secrets and kept them from everyone else. That is until Lucian’s secret threatens to harm his future, and Sloane has no choice but to intervene. In doing so, she breaks a promise to him that he never forgives her for. Fast forward to the future and Sloane and Lucian are frenemies. They tolerate each other for the sake of their mutual friends but bicker and fight nonstop over mundane issues. When their bickering turns to foreplay, they decide that a one night stand is the only way to put out the flame they have for one another once and for all. In order for these two to have a future, they must reconcile with the past. So steamy, so sweet, everything I hoped for to end this series!
While I don't love how long the books are in this series I must admit I can't help falling for the incredible cast of small town characters with lots of traumatic histories. This latest enemies to lovers, dual POV, second chance romance is between the town Librarian, grieving her recently deceased father and the grumpy boy next door who got away after he believed she betrayed him when they were kids. Another slow burn, with great banter, some suspense and lots of hot sex plus an incredibly satisfying epilogue! Good on audio too! Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!
CW: domestic abuse, drug/alcohol abuse
Lucy Score is an amazing world-builder and I love all her books. I get sucked into the world and don't want to leave. This book was a really quick and exciting read.
OH 👏 MY 👏 GOODNESS 👏 My review will not do this book justice. Hands down my FAVORITE of the series!!
Book 3 in the Knockemout series (yes you need to read them in order), and we FINALLY learn the reason that Sloane and Lucian hate each other, and boy is it a doozy! Going down memory lane with them is raw, emotional, and messy, and Lucy Score’s writing eloquently handles some tough topics.
I loved Lucian and Sloane “play fighting” with their quick retorts. Their nicknames for each other were just perfect 🥹 and their chemistry is undeniable (prepare for ALL the steaminess with a wide open door 🥵🔥).
So many heartfelt moments that will make you laugh and cry and feel all the feels. Lucian is the perfect overprotective grump!! As with the previous two books, the small town of Knockemout and all the secondary characters will warm your heart.
Lucian and Sloane’s love story is epic. Might just be my favorite romance of the year. Do yourself a favor and read it.
This was by far my favorite of the Knockemout series. And I wish there were more stories to dive into. I loved how this one wrapped everything up and man oh man will I be rereading these sometime soon. I loved the characters and the story and it was so good!!!!
ah i wanted to love this so much but sadly I just felt this dragged on and was overhyped through the previous books leading up to this. so much back story and not enough pay off. i love lucy's writing as always but the book itself was 200 pages too long
This was such a highly anticipated read. This series lived up to all the hype. It was so easy to follow and you get snippets of characters in past books. Overall, a great read!
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read an arc of this book.
thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! No spoilers. Beyond amazing I enjoyed this book so very much. The characters and storyline were fantastic. The ending I did not see coming Could not put down nor did I want to. Truly Amazing and appreciated the whole story. This is going to be a must read for many many readers. Maybe even a book club pick.
I loved this book, I knew from the first book that Lucian and Solane story would be good, we have got teased with hints for two books before and it didn’t disappoint. I loved how solane character was dealing with grief and trying to find her place in this new world with out her dad I loved how Lucian was always there for her even though they both fought it the whole way. I loved their chemistry so much! He was the perfect suit daddy! and all the things he did for her made me swoon. I like the drama in this one to, and felt like it really had the plot move along good. I loved getting back into the this small town with all the pervious characters we loved. I also loved the dual timelines and getting to know what happened between them all those years ago, especially about Lucian’s past. I am sad to see knockemout go but happy to read this series! The only thing negative I could say would be I wish her books where a little bit shorter! But other then that I love it
’m not ready to say goodbye to Knockemout and all it’s characters. I knew from the moment they were introduced that Lucian and Sloane would be my favorite couple. And I was not wrong when they’re book came about!
Lucy Score has created another successful and memorable trilogy, and the legacy that her characters will leave behind is my favorite part. Lucian is a force to be reckoned with and Sloane is her own capable force. I have to say that I quite enjoyed their banter and arguing with one another, it just seemed so them. What I liked the most about their story was deeply they were connected in the past and how they operated in the future. Sloane’s character is working through grief and threats, and Lucian is working to catch Anthony Hugo. These two come together in a perfect way.
And not to mention the spicy moments between the two, because oh my gosh. Lucian and Sloane have such chemistry in and out of the bedroom, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading about them. It was a comfort to have Knox and Naomi, and Nash and Lina all throughout the story. I shall forever remember these beautiful characters!
Lucy Score knocks it out of the park again! If you've read the previous two books in this series, you'll be stoked to read this one! Finally, we learn of Lucian and Sloane's story. It was the perfect ending to this trilogy! I do have to admit, I'm a little sad it's all over, I've enjoyed all of the characters and their stories.
Once upon a time there was a version of myself that didn't know who Lucy Score was and I pity that version of myself. I am devastated that this marked the end of this series.... I don't know how to process not having another book to look forward to (I know a novella is coming out but that's not the same.... I'll read it though).
Seeing as I love this series, I don't have anything to say other than how much more this made me love it. I can't believe we're saying bye to everyone but Things We Left Behind felt like a great way to close out this trilogy. I laughed, I swooned, I definitely cried.... there were so many feelings. Lucian and Sloane were such a solid choice to close the series out. THE SPICE? THE SWOON? I'm done.
Anyways, please enjoy. This was fabulous.
This was… way too much. There was just too much going on here between the main character and everything else going on with the romantic interest. Also didn’t love their relationship and thought it didn’t paint her in a good light. DNF
What a rollercoaster of amazing-ness this one was! God I had been waiting for Lucian & Sloane to finally get over themselves and get together for SO long. This one did not disappoint. It had all the spice & angst that we've come to love about the residents of Knockemout. I'm so sad that this is the final book, but I'm also so happy to have everyone finally get their happily ever afters and that we got to get so many SUIT DADDY moments.
Lucy Score - you knocked it out of the park with this one. By far my favourite grump and feisty female.
This one is out now wherever you get your books from & also available on KU.
Thank you Netgalley & SOURCEBOOKS (Bloom) for this advanced reading copy in exchange for an honest review.
