I loved this biography of Karen Carpenter. I was very thorough and provided an honest but gentle look at her life. I appreciated the background of how the Carpenters were formed, and the somewhat stifling closeness of their family. The story really showed just how kind and mellow Karen was, even though she was dealing with a serious eating disorder. This is a great music biography, but also one of struggle.
