The wisdom and encouragement that Bri McKoy shares in her cookbook The Cook's Book is a true gift. Utilizing what I learned from her took me from being just a good recipe follower to a knowledgeable cook. In The Cook's Book, Bri McKoy helped me asses what tools my kitchen needed to help me achieve food making success. She taught me how to cook with my senses. She educated me on the different types of salt. Let the reader of this review know, I had not been living my best salt life. I am now. A few of my favorite recipes are the Welcome Home Pot Roast & Chicken Pot Pie Soup...oh and the salsa! My daughter eats it by the spoonful.

This is so much more than a cookbook. I thought I knew a lot about cooking, but I have learned so much from Bri. And that's before we even talk about the recipes. Several of the recipes are on a biweekly rotation in my house. There hasn't been a recipe that we haven't.

This book is for seasoned cooks or people who have never stepped into a kitchen. Bri's recipe's are delicious and her instructions are so easy to follow. This is the book I now gift to anyone starting their own home. Highly endorse.

This is the book I wish I had when I first got married. Bri's enthusiasm is contagious. Her lessons and recipes are simple enough for beginners but fully satisfying for even the most experienced home cooks. This book is not only a cookbook but a resource to refer to over and over again. From the differences in salt to using all 5 senses to trusting yourself and experimenting with new techniques, this book has it all. It's beautiful and thoughtful and truly, truly helpful. All the stars and recommendations for The Cook's Book!!

THE perfect cook book to teach you needed and useful kitchen skills! I can follow a recipe just fine, but should someone suggest I deviate or "measure with my heart," I panic. The Cook's Book is similar to Bri's Masterclass, but being in book form makes it feel more doable. I can squeeze in a "lesson" or two when I have time and can go as fast (or as slow) as I need to. I am also very excited about the wine pairing guide in it! I think this book would be a great gift for so many occasions!
