As an autumn lover, this cookbook gave me so many new recipes to try this year. I think all of them are simple but look so tasty. Also the little illustrations all throughout the book are so cozy. I can't wait to use some of the recipes hosting my friends for a cozy autumn night in.

I liked some of the recipes in this book- some others were fairly simple. 8i can’t wait to try the PSL cake and it could be a great dessert with friends. I’d like to get the physical book because for me sticking postits on pages I want to remember is crucial for cook books. I also thought it would make a great secret Santa gift!

The cover of this cookbook is what drew me to it when I saw it online. The art on the cover and throughout the cookbook is adorable and very well done.

Overall, I think this is a really nice cookbook that could make a great gift for friends. A lot of people are hosting Friendsgiving meals now and so I think this is a relevant subject for a cookbook. The names of the recipes are hilarious and the recipes are easy to follow.

This cookbook is so fun! The recipes are simple, but creative, including instructions on composing a cheese plate. Thank you NetGalley for allowing me early access, I've already preordered a copy for my personal collection. Recommended for larger libraries where cookbooks are popular.

Thank you for such a lovely book, a book of thanks and giving, friendship, family and food. I love the recipes and will certainly be making some of these recipes for not just Thanksgiving but for other celebrations to.

It is simple to use, simple to understand and a bit of fun too. Love the photos (they made me hungry) and I think this would be a great gift for any family member or friend. But remember to buy a copy for yourself too.

Thank you NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

I received a free copy of, The Friendsgiving Cookbook, by Taylor Vance, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Friendsgiving is a beautiful thing, celebration friendships with great food. This book has mouth watering recipes I cant wait to make like: The best stuffed turkey breast, Potluck potato salad, and much more.

This book is all over the place. I really suspected the author stole the recipes from the internet because they are all so different from each other with the exception of cutesy names given to them and even the photos didn’t seem like they were by the same photographer. I got to the end and saw that they were compiled from four previously published cookbooks— a pressure cooker cookbook, a vegan cookbook, an air fryer cookbook and a food board cookbook. Vance did not write any of these cookbooks but the publisher got permission to use the recipes.

There are easy recipes here and many are vegan. Some are gluten free and a few are keto, but there are no symbols or designations so you can find vegan, gluten free, keto etc. if you’re trying to plan a menu that works for your friends. You just need to read really carefully and know what to look for (such as knowing the soy sauce in a recipe means it’s not gluten free). No nutritional information is provided.

On the plus side, there are photos of every recipe and most of the dishes are simple. On the downside, you need an air fryer and instant pot for many of them, even things like cakes. And they really are all over the place, like many of the desserts are vegan and even raw but then the sides are often coated in a pork rind and Parmesan coating and air fried. This definitely meets the criteria of something for everyone, but it’s so jumbled up.

All together it’s an interesting book and there were a couple of recipes that appealed to me (okay, one) but the recipes tend to be generic ones easily found online, especially on blogs that focus on specialty appliance cooking. Two stars for me for just okay. If you love your air fryer and instant pot and also like plant based cooking and food boards, you’ll likely enjoy it a lot.

I read a temporary digital version of this book for review.

This is a cookbook for people who this “cook chicken tenders according to package, toast waffles, add blueberries and maple syrup” is something tasty that needs a recipe. I am not that person.

Thanks to Netgallery for the ARC

The cookbook has lovely accompanying pictures, easy to follow recipes and a well organized index. It's easy to use and engaging to the eye. This cookbook is definitely one that would get a great deal of use. It could be a wonderful gift idea - - especially for someone just starting out on their own who wants to have friends over periodically.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I voluntarily chose to review it and the opinions contained within are my own.

In The Friendsgivng Cookbook you’ll find a colorful, often hip collection of recipe ideas for a laidback holiday gathering, party, or open house. I saw lots of appealing choices: baked spinach dip, a meat-free charcuterie board; and yummy sounding appetizers and mains including meatballs, chicken, shrimp, and vegetarian recipes. Many of the recipes utilize an air fryer or instant pressure cooker. (I noticed that the recipes gathered included selections from previously published cookbooks for instant pot, air fryer, and charcuterie boards.) Be aware that these do not offer alternate directions using traditional stovetop or oven methods. However, other recipes use the oven. Several recipes also utilize less-traditional ingredients such as aquafaba, coconut oil, and almond flour, I think foodies with foodie friends will enjoy this cookbook.
