In The Great Disappearance, Dr. David Jeremiah warned readers about how an exciting day and a terrifying day for unbelievers are coming. He begins the book by explaining how the return of Jesus could be very soon. There will first be a great disappearance and billions of people will suddenly vanish. The rapture will be announced by the Lord shouting up from Heaven, with help from the archangel, and the trumpet of God will sound. Dead bodies that have been buried will rise. Conflicts are shifting and the love for others is getting colder. Nuclear weapons can now be carried by hand and there are wars between nations. The days of Noah will be coming again. We are currently experiencing a deep corruption throughout the nations. He covered the topic what if we die before the rapture what happens. He revealed what will happened to child during the rapture. He explored the seven-year Tribulation and what unbelievers can expect to occur if they choose to not to accept Jesus as their Savior. He explained why the rapture has to happen and how this will help to purify Israel.
I would recommend this awesome book on the rapture and the great disappearance the world will witness when believers are missing. I really liked how he broke down a lot of the questions and thoughts we have about the future and what is to come. I also liked how he shared his thoughts on if people will get a second chance to accept Jesus. He made this book very simple to understand and for readers to get a grasp on the future. There is tons of references to verses and passages. One of my favorite parts was the section Live Like You Were Dying which is a song reference to Tim McGraw’s hit song. It reminds readers to love deeper, speak sweeter, giving forgiveness, and most of all living like it’s your last day. We can live on purpose and be prepared that today could be the day that Jesus returns.

Loved this book. It is really informative and is written in such a way that you totally understand.. This book is a VERY GOOD READ.
The Great Disappearance, by Dr. David Jeremiah is about a Biblical event called ‘The Rapture.’ The Rapture has caused much controversy with Christians who believe this is all there is to life. But the other side of the argument believes the scriptures that say Jesus will return for his chosen bride, The Church, to carry them away in an instant. Jeremiah is a believer in the Rapture and gives Biblical reference and study to the subject. What I liked about the book was the facts to reinforce the belief in the Rapture. However, after a while, the book became a little redundant. For the doubter of Jesus catching away his Bride, you are faced with a mountain of evidence and scripture that limit a lot of your arguments. As a believer in the Rapture, I took heart and found encouragement to continue to believe and prepare for that great day. I found the evidence to substantiate my belief.
This is book is easy to read. The author holds a pre-millennial dispensationalist view. He walks the reader through events leading to the Rapture. This book is largely evangelical. The theology is not deep, and is easily understood. I recommend it for those who want a basic understanding of the subject.
My thanks to the NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for providing an ARC for review.
The Great Disappearance by author Dr. David Jeremiah is a fascinating book. This end times book is filled with Bible verses to back up his thoughts and views. The author has a nice writing style. The chapters are easy to read and understand. I found it to be very inspiring and educational. Many people have questions about the Rapture and this will help answer them. This is definitely a book to keep on my shelf, buy for others, and lend out.

One of my favorites non fiction authors. David Jeremiah cuts to the chase and helps me to understand the Bible better. In this book The Great Disappearance he guides us to a better knowledge of the Rapture of the Church. Books by Dr. Jeremiah have definitely helped me understand and better my walk with my Lord and Savior. Thank you Thomas Nelson and NetGalley for allowing me to read a wonderful author.
Dr. David Jeremiah does such a great job to taking a tough concept and making it relatable with a better understanding. The Great Disappearance tell us 31 ways to be rapture ready and for those curious and explained using biblical truths. His expertise in end time prophesy is so interesting and he makes it relatable to his layman readers.
I have enjoyed "The Great Disappearance" by Dr. David Jeremiah. This book is focused on the rapture and gives many scripture references to support his view. Dr. Jeremiah clearly holds a pre-trib stance for the rapture, and for the most part, I do as well. But my husband doesn't, so I was hoping for a little more information on why some people interpret scriptures for the rapture to be mid- or post-trib.
This is a very readable book, that will appeal to Christians, and hopefully others will pick it up and take action on his urging to accept Christ while there is still time! I do think the book sub-title is misleading. The book doesn't give "31 ways" to be ready for the rapture. But there are 31 chapters explaining the rapture!

If you're interested in the end times, this would be a great book for you to read!! Honestly, you could study the Scriptures yourself and come to many of the same conclusions, but as many won't, here someone has done it for you! The author uses a lot of Scripture throughout the book. He definitely has his own theological opinions, but also gives the Scriptures to support why he believes as he does.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance e-copy of this book! All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
I have listened to Dr. David Jeremiah for many years and have enjoyed many of his books.
" The Great Disappearance" is a timely and encouraging. Book to help the reader understand the biblical event of the Rapture. As our world seems to be spiraling out of control and evil appears to run rampant; this book offers the opportunity to look at scripture and find the hope we are all looking for in the event of Jesus coming back to claim his church. You will find this book encouraging and a wonderful resource as you ponder on the provision God has made to save His church. Come Lord Jesus, Come

David Jeremiah always does a beautiful job. His books are biblical and easy to follow for the new believer, seasoned Christian, and those serling answers.
He did a great job portraying the need to be ready for the rapture. His descriptive text explains in detail what to expect in the end times and answers many questions with biblical precision.
Highly recommend.
Readers who are interested in Biblical prophecy will not want to miss this book. Well researched and referenced by Scripture, this book urges people to be ready for the rapture. The author clearly explains the end times in great detail that everyone can understand. Highly recommended!
One of Dr. David Jeremiah’s greatest works yet! The Great Disappearance discusses the Rapture and the events leading up to and surrounding it. Dr. Jeremiah interweaves various stories, current events and God’s holy Word to bring clarity to what is often a difficult and confusing topic for many. He offers readers 31 ways to be Rapture ready.
I found myself not wanting to put this book down as it was both interesting and informative, especially in today’s tumultuous times. I am sure it is one that I will want to go back and reference again and again. Not only has this book instilled in me a greater sense of anticipation and expectation of things to come, it has underscored the need for all believers to be Rapture ready.

This is a captivating book by Dr. Jeremiah about the soon-coming rapture of the Church. With impeccable research over several decades, the author brings to the forefront the questions so many have based on solid biblical truths.
Who will be raptured? When will it happen? What about the children? What happens to non-believers left behind, what will Heaven be like, and so many more answers to the questions.
Are you sure you are ready? You can be. This is a must-read book.

This took me a little bit to get through. I honestly didn't start to get into it and enjoy it until the second half of the book. Once I reached about 55%, I couldn't put it down. I found this to be biblically sound, which was very refreshing. It was full of scripture references, and the author used scripture to back up scripture so that he was not simply stating his personal opinions and beliefs. The author explained the coming of Christ in a way that was very easy to understand for those that may have questions or are unsure of what will happen but also went a step further for those who like to dig a little deeper. This was very well written so as not to be confusing or too theological. This was my first experience with any of Dr. Jeremiah's work, and I look forward to reading more in the future.
Another great prophetic book by Dr. Jeremiah. He has a writing style that is easy to read and understand. Explains the events to come and shows what will happen and where it is written in the Bible. I would recommend anything by David Jeremiah. I received this free copy for an honest review on Netgalley.
Did you know that 62 of the 66 books of the Bible contain predictive information? That's a significant amount and Dr. David Jeremiah uses that information to explain epic events to come, specifically the Rapture of the church and the Second Coming of Christ.
Dr. Jeremiah's explanations are easy to understand. There aren't any complicated timelines and colored charts because this isn't a play by play of the End Times. It reads more like someone is simply sharing what he has learned. He shares Scriptures and the consistency of God's character to explain why he believes what he believes.
This is a much needed book. It's a simple and powerful reminder that in a twinkling of an eye your life could change and how it changes will depend on your relationship with Christ. Read Dr. Jeremiah's The Great Disappearance to understand more of the Bible's truths and how you can be ready for the Rapture.
I received a free ebook from Thomas Nelson, via Netgalley. I was not required to give a positive review.
I am such a fan of Dr. Jeremiah’s Christian books. He’s always able to explain a topic by including real world examples with the relevant scriptures to back up those examples along with his opinions. He also doesn’t tell you only what he thinks, he adds commentary from other pastors and biblical writers to assist in solidifying the point. Even if you’re not well versed in the subject, he makes it easy to understand.
In Dr. Jeremiah’s newest book he goes into detail about the Rapture, tribulation period and the millennium. He explains what each phase of the end times is and how not to be afraid of what’s to come. He doesn’t preach at you, he talks to you like the two of you were already in communication. He provides you with clear and concise information that’s easy to follow and understand. Dr. Jeremiah uses this subject to inform, encourage and prepare us for the coming day of the Rapture.
Some of his chapters are repetitive if you’re already versed in the subject. If some of this is new to you or you’re not overly familiar, his repetitiveness helps to drill the matter and you’ll feel like an expert by the end of the book. If you don’t know Christ, this a great book to introduce you to Him and the Rapture without scaring you or overwhelming you. Dr. Jeremiah writes with kindness, respect and vast knowledge.

Dr. David Jeremiah is a prophecy teacher I’ve read a few books from before I was allowed to read this one. I’ve enjoyed every single one.
When I start any Christian living book, my first instinct is to make sure it follows the Bible. Dr. Jeremiah not only follows Scripture, but he also uses it in context. His Biblical research is thorough, and it shows.
I love when authors break apart a bunch of information with personal stories. Every chapter starts with such a story, and many have them later in the chapters as well. The information is related to the story in a way that makes it easier to understand. That’s always nice to see.
Dr. Jeremiah has written so many books and preached and could easily quote himself all day long. Instead he uses other Bible teachers to make points. I plan to find some of those works to deepen my knowledge. He also uses charts to make information easier to understand and visual.
All in all, I enjoyed this book greatly. I’d buy it and recommend it. I’ve been studying prophesy for many years, and I still learned quite a bit.
Thank you to Netgalley and Thomas Nelson Publishing for this advanced copy for my honest review.
I’ll just leave my favorite quote from the book to end this review.
