My Rating: ❤️❤️❤️.5

Disclaimer: I received a review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily.

General Thoughts: I've been meaning to read a thriller for a long time, so this romantic suspense thriller seemed like a great starting point. I really loved the first 3/4 of this one. The suspense and pacing and plot were excellently done and I was extremely invested. I was all in, but the ending wasn't my favorite here. It kind of fell a little bit flat for me. But I would definitely read more by the author. If you like romantic suspense or thrillers, you may like this one.

Spice Meter:❤️‍🔥.5 Several scenes throughout but fairly tamed.

Started off with a lot of promise, but kinda fizzled out in the end to me.

Thank you Netgalley. I don't know exactly how I feel about this book. It was a bit slow and felt rushed by the end. I did like the storyline itself and the characters were well done.

This was a *interesting* read - rating a 3 - but it was a 2.5 for me. The book started great, but the final 1/3 of the book was just meh - anticlimactic. The ending seems rushed, and kinda dull or flat. It was extremely predictable.

Her Every Secret; a great debut novel by G. L. Redding

This mesmerizing book effortlessly blends suspense and steamy romance. It grabbed my attention and was captivated from the first page to the last. Its gripping plot is loaded with unexpected twists, striking a perfect balance between the thrill of a crime mystery and the intensity of a romance novel. Zoey and Jack are portrayed with remarkable depth, their emotional journey evoking empathy and keeping me intrigued throughout. The author's skillful weaving of suspense with a sensual narrative is truly commendable.

While the ending leaves one contemplating, it only enhances the book's overall allure. An outstanding read for fans of psychological thrillers with a romantic twist.

This book instantly pulls you in from the first sentence with the startling 911 call and sets the fast pace which doesn't let up until the very last page.

Very sweet story and very well written. Definitely kept me turning pages. The main character is definitely flawed but in a good way because it makes the romance relatable.

Zoey and Jacks story is a wild ride while trying to keep Zoey safe and also trying to figure out who the caller is.
Her Every Secret was an easy read and I enjoyed the twists and turns throughout.
Not mind-blowing but definitely by no means terrible either.
A very decent debut novel

An interesting read and I really liked the premise. However ,the story did not feel fully connected in spots. Still, a good read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book by G.L. Redding. I loved the idea of it. The plot of someone stalking a 911 dispatcher is intriguing.
It started off very strong. I couldn't put it down. Zoey getting calls from "Ned" who makes her go through horrible details of her past she would rather leave in the past, forget and naturally never share, especially with her new love and oldest friend.
Jack seems like such a great guy who's incredibly supportive of Zoey and her angsty past. He puts her safety and life first on almost every page. Zoey doesn't believe she deserves him and fights an inner battle with every phone call.
This was a thriller, romance. It was a super quick read. I couldn't put it down.

The only cons I have with it, was that I felt it was a bit rushed in places in the story line and some times I felt that the Zoey/Jack relationship was cheesy.

But I will recommend this quick read to thriller lovers out there.

First of all, I really loved the cover art. The colors and design made me pick this one up immediately. Unfortunately, the cover was the best thing about this one.

I didn't completely hate it... but I didn't love it. It started out fast and seemed like a good thriller...but then it turned into romantic nonsense and tried to end as a thriller. I just couldn't figure out what kind of book this was trying to be.

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

I could not connect with the story or the characters involved at all. This was a very slow book for me, and I found myself wanting to speed through it and just cut it. It actually took me a couple weeks to finish. The writing was ok, but needs a little bit of work to help, keep the readers engaged. I think that if we got a little bit more suspense at a faster pace, it would’ve been great.

I don't feel like a connected with this story, I kind of knew where the story was heading. I didn't like the main character was so hurt that she just put everything into this one guy from her past. I felt she did not have anything that was her and her alone.

I really enjoyed the suspense in this book. Zoey is being haunted and stalked by her past. She has lost everything because of a very bad life decision and not caring about anyone but herself. Everyone close to her dies, so maybe it’s best to keep everyone at arms length. Everyone except for Jack who wants so much more. Jack has been in love with Zoey since high school, but Zoey only had eyes on getting out of the small town. Now, Jack is an investigator for the police and she is an emergency dispatcher. Until a stalker calls in and has kidnapped a young girl forcing Zoey to face her poor life choices. Is Jack strong enough and quick enough to save the girl and the girl Zoey used to be? Good suspense and good character development. You want to like Zoey and are concerned about her well being, but at the same time she is a pretty despicable person.

"Zoey Miller, is used to managing other people’s crises — not her own. That’s what ditching her flashy PR job and moving to small-town Missouri was supposed to be about: escape. But when a 911 caller demands Zoey’s dirtiest secrets in exchange for the life of an innocent young girl, it’s clear her past isn’t going anywhere. Instead, it’s about to board the town gossip train. Anchored to his hometown by his grieving mother, Jack Moore’s big-city detective dreams have been replaced by a sleepy small-town beat. When his teenage crush unexpectedly ends up in his bed, Jack knows he wants more from Zoey than a no-strings fling. But then her ugly past is forced into the light by a malicious stalker, and Jack realizes he’s going to have to move quickly to keep the woman he loves. As the case heats up, so do Zoey’s and Jack’s feelings — something Zoey can’t allow. Because nice men like Jack don’t like tainted women like her. And now, there’s nowhere to hide."
Some of this book reminded me a little bit of verity, lots of suspense , fast paced book.
There are triggers in this book. I give this book 4 stars.

Good idea. Poor execution. I couldn't get past the writing style. Unsure if it was just poorly edited or if the author has a writing style that I don't vibe with.

Her Every Secret by G.L. Redding

Great synopsis that intrigued me and made me hope this would be a great new steamy romantic suspense novel that would draw me in and keep me interested as I read. Instead, I found myself skimming quickly to find out how it would all work out and wishing that there was more. More character development, backstory, and information about the kidnapped girl.

Zoey Miller has a difficult past and made some rather poor decisions that come out as she reveals what the 911 caller is requiring for him to release an abducted young girl. Zoey tells each difficult event from her past peeling away what she had hoped would remain secret. Giving away those secrets here is not going to happen but they do explain why she is as she is.

Jack is on the police force in the town he and Zoey met long ago. He had a crush on her then, but his time was never right to be with her. He hopes this time they might find a happily ever after, though. When the kidnapping case overlaps with a stalker-ish rather threatening kidnapper, Jack is ready to protect and keep Zoey safe. The two seem to hit it off even after the secrets begin to emerge on the 911 calls.

This has a great premise and the writing flows. The flashbacks popped up unexpectedly and didn’t do so seamlessly leaving me feeling a bit of whiplash at times. I had trouble liking the main characters or seeing them together as a couple as I didn’t see what would draw them together beyond physical. Do they have values in common? Do they want a similar future? Will they want to stay in the small town or head back to the city? I ended up with more questions than answers and the ending seemed a bit unfinished or perhaps tacked on.

For a debut novel, this was done well. I feel the author will grow as she writes and would perhaps read another of her books in the future. Her Every Secret by G.L. Redding

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC. This one was a miss for me. It did keep me hooked enough to finish it but it was just blah. Didn't knock my socks off.

This started out good and ended good but the pacing throughout was uneven. It's not a bad book by any means, just a bit uneven in the pacing. The character development and the suspense buildup are solid. Overall, I would recommend this! Special Thank You to G.L. Redding, Rufous Press and NetGalley for allowing me to read a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.
