First, thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!
This was a super easy & enjoyable read! Zoey works as an emergency dispatcher in her hometown, who has a mysterious past that unravels throughout the course of the book. She begins receiving 911 calls from an unknown stalker, who wants to use her past against her. Jack is her love interest and co-worker who stands by her side all throughout. Even as Jack learns all of her dark secrets along the way, he can't hold back the feelings he has always had for her. Zoey tries her hardest to keep her true feelings from Jack hidden, but with everything coming else coming up to the surface, how long can she keep them that way?
This was the right amount of thriller, and the right amount of romance - the steamy scenes were a plus! I would recommend picking this up if you enjoy something that isn't too deep and you just want a quick and easy read.
I really wish I could give this book a higher rating. The cover is beautiful and the concept had a lot of potential, which made me very excited to give it a read. The start was promising, moving at a good pace and fleshing out current events with flashbacks to what had happened in the past.
Around halfway through though, things seemed to drop off and it took a turn. The mystery, whilst still to be solved, was largely in the background as the story focused on the relationship between the main characters and the personal issues they had. Whilst understandable, especially as many of these issues have been brought to the forefront because of the larger plot, for me it was just a little too focused on this and slowed the pace a bit too much. Several interactions also felt rather stilted, especially in terms of dialogue, with the characters calling each other by their first name a little too often to feel natural.
In a similar vein, there were some technical issues with writing etc but I understand that this is an ARC so remain hopeful that these will be picked up by an editor and amended prior to release.
Overall, whilst this book wasn't my cup of tea, I think there are definitely other readers it will appeal to more and would rate it higher than I have.
I absolutely hate leaving less than stellar reviews, I really do.. but, I’m an honest reviewer.. so here we go.
I found the idea a good idea.. but the execution wasn’t what I’d hoped.
The very first chapter, I knew I wasn’t gonna like it, if I’m being honest.
There was zero character development, zero backstory, nothing. You just jump head first into the plot. Which I found super confusing.
As the story continues, you learn things bit by bit.. but yeah, I did not enjoy how the plot/character’s developments in this at all.
Zoey and Jack were cheesy af, and not a very believable relationship in a novel that appeared to wanna mimic real life.
All in all, I feel like crap for saying this.. but I was not a fan of this novel.
Her Every Secret drew me in and held my attention throughout the book. The author delivered with lots of spice and an interesting idea for the plot!
I was anticipating a great storyline from the description, but unfortunately it didn't deliver quite as much as I was hoping. This book seemed to be 80% romance and 20% thriller. It had a lot of potential but the main events were rushed and anticlimactic. It seemed like the "thriller" portion was more of a side-story than the main story.
Overall, it was an enjoyable, fast-paced read - thanks NetGalley for the ARC!
Zoey thought she had escaped the past troubles of her life when she returned to her hometown, until one day in her job as a 9-1-1 dispatcher, she receives a call from someone who seems to want to expose all her secrets. Or rather, for her to expose them in exchange for a young girl’s life.
Jack has been in love with Zoey for years, but just recently got the opportunity to reconnect with her when she moved back to their hometown. Is this his real chance finally, or will a mysterious 9-1-1 call ruin all of that? Her every secret by G. L. Redding takes the thriller and romance genres and merges them together in her debut novel out this fall on 9/26.
I like the way this is a mix of a thriller and a romance. The author did a good job of making you care about the characters while still wondering what was going to happen to them in the end. I enjoyed the style of writing with flashbacks throughout the book that were related to what was going on in order to clue you in on Zoey’s background little by little.
Overall, I think this was a great debut novel, if not a bit too straightforward compared to what I’m used to reading. It did keep me hooked, though, and I look forward to seeing what’s next from G. L. Redding in the future!
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

This book was sent to me by NetGalley in exchange for an honest rate and review.
Honestly I hate giving this rating and review as I was so excited to read this. The plot sounded fantastic and had the potential to be a 5 star for me however I found the structure of it to be clunky and not do the story justice for me. It was not clear where the timelines switched and how long ago those memories would have been, I found it so hard to work out the years of main character Zoey’s life due to this issue. I feel that more distinction between then and now would have elevated the experience of reading this.
Furthermore I did not feel that each plot point was developed enough.
SPOILER EXAMPLE - Zoe’s credit card fraud was mentioned and then not mentioned again until closer to the end. I wish her secrets would have been revealed through more drastic and shocking means e.g the sarge being emailed receipts from the stolen credit card spendings or her colleagues being sent the link to the porn website with her video in via anonymous number that cannot be tracked. This kind of thing would have made the secrets feel more real and threatening as they are revealed, and would have made the drama more high-stakes which is crucial for executing these types of plots well.
SPOILER OVER.
Character wise I really liked Jack but I did not feel particularly connected to any other character, I also wanted more delving into the other suspects instead of it being so easy to guess.
In terms of what I loved about this book, the writing was fun and engaging, I managed to read it very quickly and it definitely balanced thriller and romance together well which was so entertaining. There were definitely moments of suspense in the beginning, and I think the kidnapping storyline was the perfect way to introduce all the backstory of the main character. However I did see the original plot being lost a bit towards the end as the focus of the investigation changes.
P.S the cover is absolutely beautiful for a discrete book with spice in it.
Would definitely recommend for a quick pace read and for those who enjoy a HEA after an intense plot, but it’s not something I will be jumping to reread when it’s officially published later this year.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to read this and enjoyed my experience.
Review coming soon.
Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC.
Opinions are mine.
'Her Every Secret' was a romantic thriller that I enjoyed. I have read many thrillers in the last year and a lot of the storylines have similar aspects, but this book was different than anything I've ever read. The book kept me at the edge of my seat, and I was picturing it like a movie playing out the entire time. It was a fast paced read and I couldn't put it down because I wanted to know who the stalker was. I have seen some comments that Zoey's character was too much and annoying, but I felt a connection to her. I found the author painted a great picture of a woman that suffered domestic violence and co-dependency. The way Zoey deals with her pain and trauma were quite spot on; the blocking out memories that were too painful, zoning out and pushing the good away because you don't think you deserve it. A healthy relationship after a hard one is tough, and it takes someone with patience to help you get through it and Jack was my favorite character for that reason. The only thing that was bothering me a bit was the name calling by the two main characters, I hope it gets edited in that sense before the book is released! Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!
This book was sent to me by NetGalley to read and leave an honest review of my thoughts. I’m rating it 2.5 stars but rounding up to 3. I felt this book had great potential but was written a bit sloppy. There were things I liked about this book but had more things I didn’t like.
I really liked jacks character the most but felt that all the other characters needed more development. I did not feel that connection with them as I was reading, especially with Zoey.
There were some technical writing errors I noticed as I was reading so I really hope these get corrected. I know this is an ARC so I wasn’t expecting perfection when it came to grammar and punctuation.
Overall this wasn’t the worst book I have ever read. It was enjoyable but I won’t remember it in a couple months from now.
I am grateful to NetGalley for sending me this ARC to read and I had a great experience with it. Can’t wait for my next read.
I really just couldn't gel with this one. Zoey was a hot mess and I'm really not sure why Jack would want so desperately to be with her.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC. All views are my own.
Overall I really enjoyed this book. The thriller part was right on but did end rather abruptly. I liked the relationship between Jack and Zoey. I felt a bit like Zoey was too self deprecating though.
4/5 stars
An innocent life is at stake.
The ransom? Every secret I’ve ever had.
Zoey Miller, is used to managing other people’s crises — not her own. That’s what ditching her flashy PR job and moving to small-town Missouri was supposed to be escape. But when a 911 caller demands Zoey’s dirtiest secrets in exchange for the life of an innocent young girl, it’s clear her past isn’t going anywhere. Instead, it’s about to board the town gossip train.
Anchored to his hometown by his grieving mother, Jack Moore’s big-city detective dreams have been replaced by a sleepy small-town beat. When his teenage crush unexpectedly ends up in his bed, Jack knows he wants more from Zoey than a no-strings fling. But then her ugly past is forced into the light by a malicious stalker, and Jack realizes he’s going to have to move quickly to keep the woman he loves.
As the case heats up, so do Zoey’s and Jack’s feelings — something Zoey can’t allow. Because nice men like Jack don’t like tainted women like her. And now, there’s nowhere to hide...
HER EVERY SECRET is a steamy open-door romance thriller, featuring sizzling suspense, a hot cop, and the broken woman he’s sworn to save.
If you're a fan of the heart-wrenching storytelling of Colleen Hoover, the sizzling chemistry of Lucy Score, and the addictive romance of Ana Huang, then prepare to embark on a thrilling romance journey like no other.
.I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book! My only complaint was that I wish it was longer. I truly enjoy flawed characters.
‘Her Every Secret’ is an unusual genre in that it is a romantic thriller, which for the storyline itself works really well. The story focuses around what develops to be an intense stalking and harassment of Zoey, a 911 call handler - we learn via her stalkers coercive games about Zoey’s previous regrets in life, and her many insecurities that have resulted from former relationships. Throughout the book, Zoey is clearly ‘running’ from commitment and security as a result of how her past has impacted her in the time before the book is set.
This book kept me on edge throughout but for the same reason I found that I completed it very quickly simply because I wanted to know who was behind the harassment, as well as what was driving their motivation for revealing Zoeys secrets.
Recommend this book for those looking for a gripping read, especially those who enjoy romance books as well as thrillers.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Rufous Press for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I must confess, I don’t read a lot of romance books but I have really been trying to broaden my horizons recently. This book has made me wonder why I have not read more romance books - I loved this book.
I loved how this was not a complete romance book but still focused on the relationship between Jack and Zoey. I loved that there was still suspense and an element of mystery with this book.
This book is really well written, and the pacing is perfect with twists revealed within every chapter. I really liked the fact it wasn’t obvious who was behind the kidnapping and you got to know the characters more as the book progressed (and more secrets were spilled!). Jack and Zoey’s relationship develops throughout the book and I definitely got more involved in their relationship - this book is definitely spicy!🌶️🌶️
It is a fantastic and thought provoking read as you can’t help but think what would happen if you were put in a similar position! I wish there would have been a more jaw dropping ending (the ending was still really good!), but maybe that is just my inner crime reader coming out!
Overall, I really enjoyed the book and would definitely recommend it. If you enjoy romance, suspense and crime you will really enjoy this book.
Thank you to Net Galley and Rufous Press for providing me with an advanced readers copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
"Her Every Secret" felt repetitive in multiple ways causing the flow of the story to stutter. I found Zoey's self deprecation borderline annoying and while there overall story was a great idea the execution fell short for me.
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book in advance of publication
An intense, gripping novel.
Her every secret is a suspenseful thriller with an essence of romance. Based on a woman hiding from her troubled past.
For the most part, I enjoyed this book. It had a good plot and idea. I found that a lot of the book has “I did this” and “I did that.” And “they did this.” And “they did that..” The book didn’t have much variation with the beginning of sentences so that did annoy me a little bit
"Her Every Secret" by G.L. Redding is a suspenseful thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. The story revolves around a young woman named Ivy, who is trying to escape her troubled past and start a new life in a small town. However, things take a dark turn when she becomes entangled in a web of lies and deceit.
The book is well-written and the pacing is excellent, with twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the very end. The characters are well-developed and the author does a great job of creating a sense of tension and unease throughout the story.
One of the strengths of this book is the way that it delves into the characters' psychologies and motivations, exploring the darker sides of human nature and the lengths that people will go to in order to protect their secrets. This makes for a compelling and thought-provoking read.
Overall, if you're looking for a gripping and suspenseful thriller that will keep you engaged from beginning to end, then "Her Every Secret" is definitely worth checking out.
I hate that I put myself into this situation where I have to write the first and (who knows for how long) only review of a book, and a debut one at that, and not being able to give it more than two stars. My conscience is kicking me in the butt right now.
Disclaimer: I didn't read the entire book. I skimmed. A lot. For reasons listed below. So please take this review with a grain of salt - as you always should.
See, the idea was alright - I wouldn't have picked it up if I didn't think so. A stalker who keeps harrassing a smalltown police dispatcher and blackmailing her into revealing her dirty secrets... sounds fun, right? Unfortunately, it really wasn't.
The thing is, I even sorta, kinda liked those scenes at the Police station when the bad guy called, even though I could've done without the flashbacks detailing all those events that took place years ago. Everything else, though... meh.
Zoey's relationship with Jack was cheesy af, and her inner ramblings about how good he was and how terrible she was, and how she didn't deserve him got on my nerves quickly. Some of the secondary characters felt more like cartoon characters than real people.
But what annoyed me the most was all the freaking name-calling. If I ever have to read the names Zoey and Jack again, I might combust. Seriously, there were times when Jack said Zoey's name TWICE in one sentence! Stop it already! And yes, I know this is an ARC and I HOPE TO GOD an editor will fix this before the book gets released, but come on, don't you read your own books? I just couldn't take it anymore. Awkward writing is one of my biggest pet-peeves, and I got peeved good!
All that being said, I want to end this review on a positive note. I really liked Jack, and I loved that he didn't judge Zoey for her messy past. In another book, he might've even had the chops to become a new favorite of mine.
