The Dear Rebel Girls is the best yet with inspiration from some of the most powerful change makes in our world at the moment. Even as an older woman some of these pages made me weep with heart felt messages and laugh with shared funny moments that I will take with me. Also love the sharing of rescipies so I will just need to try as they sound amazing. This is exactly what teen girls need to hear/read around the world. Hopefully from this book I hope young girls and women can find their new role models and heroes to follow.

As much as I feel there are a bit too many Rebel Girls books, it does show that these books sell and that there is an audience for these. I hope it empowers little girls even more!

Something for everyone. I opted to read these wonderful messages of hope and encouragement in spurts, so to speak, trying to fully take in the messages. I didn't recognize most of the women, bad me, but it didn't matter. They all had something to share. Something worthwhile. Words of hope. Words of comfort. Words of encouragement. Words of understanding and empathy. Words about, well, life. They're all here and we learn how universal experiences and emotions can be.

I'm not even going to try to summarize what is said. Each woman offers a snapshot of their life and how it may relate to others, so to speak, helping us connect to them and, hopefully, others. One of my favorite themes was the "What I'd Tell My Younger Self" concept. Haven't we all wished "if I'd only known then what I know now"? I know I have. The sharers are diverse, not only in race and culture but fields of expertise and experience. More than 125 contributors came together to offer up what they have learned in hopes of easing the way for others, particularly the younger generation. That said, even us "oldies" might learn a new trick or two from this, even if it just reminds us of things we know but maybe haven't used or thought for years.

I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend this book to everyone. And, hey, guys, bet you could find words of relevance, too, so it's not just for females. You don't have to know everything as one noted, you just have to keep pushing and asking questions until you figure it out. I mean, one girls dream started with a gum drop vending machine. No lie. Thanks #NetGalley and #RebelGirls for once again sharing important words and experiences with me. Even this ol' gal can use some inspiration.

Many pages were intentionally left blank, as the content will not be revealed until publication. As a reviewer, it is a little disappointing that some of the most anticipated letters and testimonials cannot be reviewed yet. However, considering the other amazing women who contributed to this inspiring work, I am giving it 4 stars. Hopefully, I will be able to read the complete book someday.

Dear Rebel Judy -
You’re going to read (in an ARC through NetGalley) stories about, letters from and poems by more than 125 women and teens compiled in a book, and it’s going to remind you of your own young heart and your desire to become a writer.

This compilation from women across the globe tells stories of digging deep, breaking glass ceilings, standing up and conquering boundaries. These are women from an eclectic variety of professions and countries show Rebel Girls that they hold the power and the key to their own paths, and encourages them to seek the way forward.

I will absolutely be buying this for the tween and teen girls in my life as holiday gifts this year.

As an ARC reader I noticed grammatical/spacing/spelling/word errors I hope are fixed on final editing rounds. I also felt that there wasn’t as much rhyme or reason to how the content was arranged. It’s the kind of publication that doesn’t have to be read front to back but at random, so perhaps grouping the content based on what the reader would get out of it might help. I don’t think it would make or break the book but just an observation. I also feel like a girl should read all the parts, not just what speaks to her. It’s the stories I couldn’t relate to that most inspired my inner teenage heart.

Favourite from Rebel Girls! This collection is everything you’d ever need to read and gift to a girl/woman if they feel they are not enough! We are so capable and we uplift each other.

This collection is like the golden jubilee edition and I highly appreciate it. Will go back to it again and again because we have so much to celebrate here.

Thank you, Rebel Girls, for the advance reading copy.

Thank you to NetGalley and Rebel Girls for the e-ARC of this title to read and review. This is a nice compilation of empowering stories with a great variety of voices represented. Like other Rebel Girls titles, readers will see many familiar faces and be introduced to new people through their stories, but in this book specifically, all of the essays are first-person tales written by the figures themselves. I think there's a lot of value in this collection, it just wasn't as much up my alley as the other RG offerings - which do a great job contextualizing its stories within a theme/genre/field or in the context of history. I'm not so big on purely inspirational type stories so reading more than 100 in a row is kind of a lot for me, but I do think young readers will be able to see themselves in the stories and that's so important!

Another incredible installment for the Rebel Girls books! I have loved literally every single installment. The advice a lot of the women gave was wonderful and I know little me would’ve kept it tucked in my heart.

Thank you to Rebel Girls for inviting me to read an early copy of this book.

Right off the bat, this book is a lot longer than the previous Rebel Girls books and may deter some readers. There are a variety of participants which I appreciated and there were a lot of projects that I hadn't heard of. I do wish the author bios were at the beginning of the entries so I had an idea of who was writing.

In this edition, several of the entries weren't there and it didn't look like it was going to be released until publication day.

This is hands down one of my favorite books to come from Rebel Girls. It is inspiring stories and words of encouragement for girls (or anyone) of all ages. The words come from 125 celebrities, athletes, entrepreneurs, CEOs, activists, artists, writers, adventurers, STEM leaders, and more. It is not a book that needs to read all at once but pick a person and read some words to boost your confidence or help you reach for you own goals. This is geared for upper elementary and middle schoolers but the messages are inspiring for any age. I can easily see it on my library shelf. Thank you to NetGalley and Rebel Girls for the temporary ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review.

Once again, Rebel Girls has come up with a terrific resource for growing girls. Dear Rebel contains well over 100 essays from women of all ages from all over the globe, giving their advice and thoughts to young readers. Most of the women will not be familiar to readers but their words are beautiful and inspiring.

As one woman says: “Remember, you don’t owe anyone anything. Live your life as your authentic self. Be kind, trust your instincts, find rest when you’re tired, and always … always put yourself first.”

And some advice from another woman: “It’s never too late to change your situation.” “Self-care is critical.” “Tell your parents what you need.”

And another: “Never give up on your dreams.”

And another: “Follow your curiosity, and lead with your heart.”

Thank you to NetGalley and Rebel Girls for the opportunity to read an advance readers copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I love this!

I have a teenage daughter, and I often wonder if have I instilled enough feminism, enough capability, enough hardheadedness that she'll be able to eventually leave the nest, realise her dreams, and achieve everything she wants. I wonder if I've given her the tools to stand up for herself, and not be intimidated by men in a professional or personal setting. I also rage against the fact that our world is still misogynistic enough that these are thoughts I felt that I've had to have.

However, this book is inspiring. The women who have contributed range from the well-known, to the less well-known but awesome. This is the book I would like to make sure every library has, every school should have it, and every little girl should have it.

I think that what the Rebel Girls books do is quite amazing. Empowerment. Believe in who you are. Staying strong for yourself and others. These are all common themes in life and these are put out there specifically for young readers who may find themselves struggling with their position in life. A healthy reminder of what you can do and achieve. I love these books for my 8-year-old daughter. She revels in the fact that girls can do so much and it makes her stronger. I can't argue with that because I want her to be the strongest, smartest, kindest, and most empathic person she can be. These books are a reminder that these traits live in all girls and people.

Whilst this book is intended for tweens and teens, I think all women (and men!) would benefit from the stories within. Hugely inspiring stories from incredible women with great diversity of experience.

Meet 125 women who were once questioning girls wondering what they would become and if they could make a difference. Some are in business, some are in journalism, some in regular sports while others are in the paralympics, then there are scientists and other professions. Each one has words of encouragement for all of us. There are even a few recipes from around the world. I never met a Rebel Girls book that disappointed, but this one is over the top!
Rebel Girls books are the best!
The illustrations and photos continue to be delightful, imaginative, and colorful.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone, but especially to a school or public library!
I requested and received a free temporary e-book on Adobe Digital Editions from Rebel Girls via NetGalley. Thank you!

This book is so inspiring and interesting to read. I loved reading about how different women faced different challenges and faced them as a warrior. Though I couldn't read all the tales at once, but they are fun to read with pauses.

This is such a great and inspirational book for girls of all ages. This is a wonderful collection of inspiring words and stories from women all over the world. My favourite thing about this book is that it is not just mini-biographies of these amazing women lives but their lives and experiences in their own words. The challenges they faced and how they overcame them and there is something for everyone to learn here. I think it would be great for all young girls to have on their bookshelves. I'm looking forward to reading the full version when it is released!
