I love a good cookbook that has simple recipes anyone can do! Starting off with a little history of the waffle, some information on selecting the right waffle iron and cleaning tips, this book offers great information before you even begin cooking. The recipes are divided by meals and there are so many options, not just waffles, but sandwiches, donuts, etc. all of which can be put in a waffle iron. Each recipe has a photo and personally I prefer the photos of the finished product but for some there are open sandwich pictures that don't look as tasty in my opinion but display what is inside the sandwich so you can see all the ingredients. It's a simple cookbook with recipes that don't require too much in terms of ingredients or instruction. I will definitely be adding this to my library's collection in 2024 if it's available from our vendor!

Thank you NetGalley and Fox Chapel Publishing for the eARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I’ll be honest. I love waffles but since I am terrible at making pancakes, it never occurred to me to try to make waffles. There are so many amazing recipes and ideas in this cookbook that I’m going to have to get a waffle maker. I’m completely hooked.

The good:
Simple, easy to follow recipes. Very inviting with a semi-homemade vibe. I could see many of these being made with kids to get them started on preparing their own food, or being a handy reference for a teen or someone just off to college. Straightforward, tasty, easy to make.

The bad:
This is not a book of waffle recipes. I counted things up, and of the non-sauce recipes there are 37 that use a waffle iron and 64 that are made on a panini press. That ratio (a third!!!) makes the entire premise of the book misleading and was too big of a wrench for me to get my head past. If you have a press with interchangeable plates, this might be amazing for you. But it is definitely not based around waffles.

Thanks to Fox Chapel Publishing, NetGalley, and Kate Woodson for a chance to review this lovely cookbook. I love a good waffle. Who would not love to experiment with fun ways to make it lively in the kitchen? Kate Woodson does just that with her fun cookbook and I look forward to trying many of these recipes over the winter months. I love recipes that make a little bit of something stretch into a lot of something and if you do as well grab this cookbook! There are some fabulous dishes you won’t be sorry, just surprised you hadn’t tried it out before. Again, thanks Kate Woodson love your book!

I love a good cookbook, almost as much as I love a multipurpose use for an ordinary kitchen item. This book does an excellent job of showing you SO MANY ways that you can use your waffle iron to make everything from dinner to dessert. I have already marked a few of these that I plan to try at home, and some of them just make so much sense, I can’t believe I never made that connection before! There are tons of recommendations and recipes for breakfast items, sandwiches, and even some desserts. It would even make a great gift for a college student, or someone moving out into their first apartment. Definitely a cookbook to stop and give a look!

Ms.Woodson has an interesting take on the versatility of a waffle iron. She gives info on the care and best use of same and offers a large variety of recipes for it. It is informative
I requested and received a NetGalley arc to peruse gratis and offer my opinion in the same.

very very simple ingredients and instructions, i’m vegan but i can see myself adapting many of these recipes! the tater tot flats are so good, i usually make them with shredded hashbrowns but they’re way crispier with tater tots. i’m most excited to make the thanksgiving leftovers

This cookbook deceives with the body. From the name, I would have expected only waffle recipes. But it does include advice on sandwiches using a sandwich maker.
The book is well structured, with each recipe having an icon of the device to be used. I really adored the photographs. One would like to taste everything. The use of photos of the cooking process is a plus, it makes sure one's dough looks right.
This cookbook has also broadened my horizons, I have included savoury versions of waffles in my personal recipes. In addition, it serves as a great inspiration to make classic sweet waffles extra special.

Thank you to NetGalley and Fox Chapel Publishing for a free digital review copy. This is my honest review.

Lots of creative ideas to use your waffle maker for more than just breakfast (though there’s plenty of breakfast ideas, too). Lunch sandwiches, dinner ideas, and maybe the best use -deserts! I like that there are pictures to accompany each recipe.

Who said the waffle maker can only be used to make food for breakfast, dessert and snack? This book proves that it can be used for not only those meals but for lunch and dinner as well. This is a beautiful volume with a delicious-looking photograph for every recipe. So much creativity involved and alternatives are given too. The suggested ingredients are not hard to find - a very important criteria for me for any cookbook. A good reference for everyday use and for those times when you run out of ideas how to utilise that beloved kitchen gadget.

5 stars.

Love loved this cookbook. So many ideas. Making each recipe will keep me and my family satisfied for a long time. Everything from breakfast to desserts. A lot of the sandwiches suggested are from ingredients already on hand. I have bookmarked so many of the recipes, I am not sure which one I should make first. All ages can benefit and will also enjoy this quick read

Literally learn new ways to use your waffle iron. Brilliant ideas and very inspirational to me as a home cook. I have learned new ways to feed my family thru reading Waffle it ! Beautiful illustrations, detailed instructions and no experience needed. A great read for breakfast and the other meals of the day.

I thought this was a great idea for a book and was looking forward to all different kinds of waffles and appreciate having access to it as an ARC.

While there are some new ideas for waffles, I was annoyed that a lot of it was using the waffle maker for things like sandwiches, Lasagne and eggplant parm. No! I will not be making a mess using my waffle iron.
If all you have to cook with is a waffle maker then you will. 100% get some great ideas from the book.
I was also disappointed that it uses so many processed ready made items rather than things from scratch.

Take your waffle from “boring” to super cool with these recipes. Instead of the same basic waffle and syrup, this book explore lots of ways to use your waffle maker to make breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner and dessert! Some recipes get a little crazy but interesting, like leftover spaghetti melt, lasanha waffles, French onion steak sandwich and more. The book is nice and all the recipes have photos!! I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review

A very informative book on Waffle making with some really great recipes, your faituful plain waffles, sweet and savoury and some very interesting ones too. This book is not all about Waffles though, it also contains sandwiches and paninis so reallt it is not completely Waffle related.

I like that different cleaning options are talked about aswell as the different types of Waffle irons. There are also a number of sauce recipes to go with your creations. There are so many pictures to go with the recipes which is excellent also. All over a very nice book with plenty of ideas for the use of your Wafgfle/Sandwich/Panini Maker.

Thanks to Netgalley and Kate Woodson for the opportunity to read and review this book.
