I love waffles and really enjoyed looking through this book. While I haven't made any of the recipes yet, I have bookmarked numerous ones.
The recipes start with breakfast but quickly go throughout all meals straight through to dessert! There are snacks and sandwiches and also dinners that look so creative. I can't wait to try some of these.
The book has many pictures,. In fact I think each recipe has at least one photo with it, perhaps more. That was a little hard for me to see. I had an advanced copy that I don't think was fully formatted correctly yet. EDITED TO ADD: I just viewed this in the Netgalley app and it was amazing! The photos were beautiful!
The instructions looked simple to follow though and we're numbered for easy guidance.
Waffle It! covers recipes using a waffle marker, sandwich maker (typically used for grilled cheese), and panini press. I found the icons next to the recipes that indicated which type of iron/press was recommended to be very useful; I wish they were also included in the table of contents.
I had never thought to cook cinnamon rolls in my waffle maker. It worked so well and was a lot quicker than cooking them in the oven. Making a grilled cheese in the waffle maker also worked well. The book includes an impressive number of sandwich recipes; however, the photographs for most of them were not as impressive as the full page ones.
Overall I enjoyed the cookbook and look forward to trying a many recipes in it.
Great recipe book that teaches the many different things you can create with a waffle iron. They can be used for more than just waffles. They are also very compact that you can take them anywhere and whip up a quick meal!
So many delicious ideas! I love plain waffles in general. But this brings together so many ideas for every meal. Dinner, lunch dessert, different breakfast options. I loved all of the delicious ideas!
There are quite a number of unique and awesome sounding recipes in this cookbook. I can see this one having a permanent spot on the cookbook shelf.
Everyone should take a peek at this one, I am sure you will find something to have you salivate!

Waffle It! : 101 Delicious Dishes to Create with Your Waffle Maker is a very creative recipe book for using your waffle maker to make almost anything ! To be honest a lot of the recipes were a bit gimmicky but I would try some of them. There are lots of good pictures and maybe it would inspire you to think up a few more ways to use your waffle maker.
First the positive. I absolutely love the concept of this cookbook! The idea of fun and innovative ways to use my waffle maker is what attracted me to this title. The instructions are straight forward, and all the ingredients are easily found at any grocery store. The recipes sound delicious, and I will be looking for this title after it's publication as I think it would be a great addition to my cookbook library. However...
I understand that this is an uncorrected proof and there will be errors. But the sheer amount of errors (from missing ingredient lists, incomplete instructions, and general layout issues) turned this potentially fun and useful cookbook into a hot mess to try to read. I can only honestly review what is presented to me, not what it might become after final publication, so for that reason I am giving three stars for now.
This is a fun little cookbook that goes beyond the boundaries of traditional waffle making. It offers a range of inspiring ideas for both beginner and general cooks. The recipes featured are very accessible in both their method of cooking and the ingredients, with keeping the ingredients list short and generally available at most grocery stores or corner markets in the US. The instructions are brief and the photos are large! The book would be great for those in alternative housing without full kitchens, as easy recipe uses either a waffle iron or sand which press. This cookbook wont change your life, and it’s not recommended for advanced cooks. Still, it provides a fun and accessible way to explore the versatility of your waffle iron.
So many fun recipes to try and make. Who knew Waffle makers could be so versatile.?
There are recipes for every taste and if there isn't one you like, there is one that will inspire you to add or take and create your own recipes.
I received a complimentary copy and am leaving this review voluntarily.
The photos want to make the reader to dive into the recipes and start experimenting with that little used waffle maker. The waffle-ly good French toast is so obvious but it takes a recipe book to bring the common sense forward. Broken down in the three meals of the day this recipe book will become your go to book for a quick meal that does not take someone over the stove to grill/toast. The approach of fix and forget it will be crucial for the remote workforce just pop up and take out when it beeps. I do draw the line at the waffle shrimp, that one is not for me. There are definitely some good ones to give a whirl in here, will be trying the Thanksgiving leftovers one, but there are some that should have been edited out in my opinion but others will enjoy them.
Thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity.
I received a copy of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I think I was expecting something more creative from this book. There's a variety of recipes for things you can make in the waffle iron like sandwiches, omelets, and sweets. Quite a few of the recipes are things like toasting a sandwich, putting hashbrowns in the waffle iron, or cooking flavored waffles which wasn't the creativity I was hoping for. While there's some pictures there's not as many as I like in a recipe book.
Overall it's not for me, but I can see how others may find a couple of interesting recipes in here.
Waffle It! is a very versatile book for your waffle enthusiast. I have had a waffle iron collecting dust for a while and was super excited to bring it back out for this cookbook! This cookbook has so many great waffle recipes and a whole lot of panini ones too! There is a lot of awesome ideas, favorite being the waffle smores. I love all the recipes images and that each one indicates what type of iron to use. Great cookbook for someone for someone who wants a waffle maker and can see it as a multi purpose device.
Want to serve up some interesting recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and even appetizers? This book has many fun and fast recipes. Maybe you have a picky eater and you want to entice them? Maybe something quick and delicious that looks like a waffle. Some of the recipes could be made with other kitchen tools, but who doesn't love a waffle?
Some of the recipes use a batter, some use purchased products, like cinnamon rolls in a tube, or bread or wonton wraps. I really want to try the spinach wontons! In fact, there are so many interesting ideas in this book that you can serve interesting meals or snacks and not repeat yourself for a long time.
I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my honest review.
I LOVED this book! I bought a waffle maker a few weeks ago, inspired by how I saw people using it on Pinterest. I very quickly ran out of inspection and this book is the cure. You’ve got a great photo of each and every recipe included to get you excited, and super easy instructions to follow.
There are a few recipes that I don’t think waffle maker is the best way, Chicken nuggets, wantons, tater tots, frittata and leftovers. Even the photos showed dry or crumbly foods. Mostly this treats the waffle maker as a panini press
I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. This is a great little book on how else to use your waffle iron. New recipes and they seem pretty easy to make! The photos are really pretty.
Synopsis (from Netgalley, the provider of the book for me to review.)

Waffle irons make more than waffles! Discover endless possibilities for what a waffle iron can do with this must-have cookbook. Featuring 101 sweet and savoury dishes, from carrot cake and crab cakes to cheesy omelets, cheeseburgers, apple tarts, and so much more, these recipes include everything you’ve never thought of making in a waffle iron. Also included are recipes for four dipping sauces to pair with meals. These inventive waffle iron recipes are easy to make and only take minutes to cook, making them perfect for camping or feeding a crowd quickly over a fire.
I make a ridiculous amount of food in the waffle maker as it is cooler to use in the kitchen (very important in the summer with no a/c outside of the bedroom) and easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy to clean. I am also all about the sauces and dips (yes, just like in “Only Murders in the Building”!) and I can see using this book over and over again – there are even recipes that I can make in my Taiyaki that I love and adore.
The recipes use mostly processed foods and there are a lot of versions of a panini – but if you are going camping, who wants to use a ton of ingredients…ditto if you are pressed for time in the kitchen. It makes sense to use tater tots for hashbrowns in my eyes as grating potatoes for a half hour is certainly not a good use of MY time and frankly, boxed macaroni and cheese is 1/10th the price of homemade – we love that in a waffle iron with some “real” shredded cheese added to it. But if you are pickier, then you might have a problem with the book. Processed foods are (not necessarily) good for you but since one could consider pasta a processed food, that is up to you and what you want to feed you and your family.

Thanks so much to NetGalley and Fox Chapel Publishing for this Arc in exchange for my honest review
Wow, it was such a bad idea to read this book at 3am !! It made me so hungry !! From the breakfast ideas to dinner to dessert ! Come on, pizza waffle and lasagna waffles ?? I'm drooling over the delicious pictures. And the desserts !! This is such a torture for me haha.. I don't even have a waffle iron. By the way, thanks for the advice about choosing one, I needed just that little push to invest in one.
Confession: I don't actually own a waffle maker. I never saw the need for one. I chose to read this book to see if it could win me over, and I think it just might! I love good creative recipes, and this book is full of them.
Who knew that my waffle maker was capable of so much! I think maybe I will institute a "Waffle Wednesday" around my house so I can try out these recipes. The desserts look amazing, but The frittata and hashbrowns might be the things I am most excited to try!
