This satisfying conclusion to Ella and Reed's bully romance story arc wraps in many loose ends and sets up the next book in the series. Twisted Palace brings in the solving of a murder mystery, an extrication from blackmail, Ella finding her own voice and path, and the revelation of Reed's heart of gold character. Suspenseful (crazy!) plotting, tight-knit family, spicy scenes, and lightning quick pacing heighten the high school dramarama.
Like other unputdownable books in the series, this gritty new adult dramatic romance featuring high school students is fast-paced, and details of wealth, abuse, addiction, extravagance, and privilege are both fascinating and eye-rolling.

"These Royals will ruin you."
This was such a great ending to Reed and Ella's story. I honestly could not put this book down! I can't wait to read more from the Royals and am so glad that there are a couple more brother's to catch up on!

"You. Us. Forever."
there was a small moment. when I finished Broken Prince. and it was like 3 in the morning. and I considered stopping and just going to bed.
but then that ending had me all riled up and crazy.... and next thing I know its 7 am and I'm q good couple hours into the audio for twisted palace and going on like 5 days with about 6 hours of sleep total. qnd I still regret none of it haha.
but this book. omg. it was just so crazy. twisted most definitely fits this one haha.
I never knew what was going to happen. and that's saying a lot for someone like me who has super awesome spidey powers when it comes to predicting books haha.
but this one totally had me. from the first minute, all the way until the last.
the narrators just did such a good job and the story itself was just so mysterious and enthralling. I didn't want to take my headphones out haha.
the suspense and angst literally had me on the edge of my driver's seat (I drive a lot for work. and get a good amount of listening time in during it)
but I was so invested in all the plot twists and turns. and trying to figure out who the big baddie really was. and man. I was so fudging shocked haha.
but I loved that. I loved that a book could take me by surprise still and have me constantly guessing.
I couldn't read this one fast enough. but yet I wanted it to last forever too. #BookWormProblems
most definitely a

After the cliffhanger at the end of Broken Prince I could not start Twisted Palace fast enough! I devoured this in less than a day and loved it just as much as the first two books. This series is such an angsty twisted ride, I can’t wait to see where Easton’s books go. Five stars
Twisted Palace picks right up at the cliffhanger of the last book. Reed is still facing a lot of serious charges. Ella is scared and she has to deal with yet another major surprise in her life. Every single man in her life at this point is pulling her in multiple directions and she is trying to protect herself in this crazy new dynamic.
While I love this series so far, I can admit that there are a lot of things about this installment that didn’t quite hit for me. It is still enjoyable but the drawn-out way the story wrapped up for Ella and Reed seemed unrealistic. I’m glad they finally got to be together but it was too long and wild of a story.
Without giving so much away, a lot of questions were answered. We finally discovered who killed Brooke. I didn’t see that coming actually because there were no real motives there but oh well it sped up the drama and opened up everyone’s eyes a bit. I didn’t like how things turned out with Dinah and Ella. I wouldn’t have been kind to Dinah one bit. I do understand that Ella just wanted the nightmare to finally end and to make sure Reed was safe.
I think the most annoying factor in this story is the brothers. I really do understand that these are high schoolers but they were so annoying. They are spoiled and privileged. There are serious consequences to what transpired with them and other characters at school yet nothing ever happened. It is just so over the top. Even the way the other kids at the school behaved was just ridiculous.
Overall, I’m invested in the series. I want more drama and flare to entertain me so I will continue on.

I've gotta be really blunt with this: I did not like this book. I really liked the first two books, so it came as a shock and disappointment that this book was so bad.
I just really, really didn't connect with anything in this third book. Ella's character seemed off from what was established in the first two books: she didn't seem to trust her instincts as much, she didn't seem to stand up for herself much when it came to her father, and she overall felt more passive in the story than she had in the past two books. She kept saying she had to get to the bottom of who really killed Brooke and then did absolutely nothing to "solve the case". All she did was mope about not being with Reed and what might happen if he's convicted of murder.
Absolutely nothing happened in the vast majority of the book. Until the last few chapters, it was just Reed and Ella making out, Reed acting out and ignoring the real consequences of his actions, and Ella moping about Reed and his situation (while doing nothing about it). It was so boring!
The last few chapters are where it really picks up, and by then they had to pack so much into those chapters that it felt rushed and messy. And the "twist" of who killed Brooke? Um... I thought that was obvious. Was it really that much of a surprise? Literally who else could have done it? And how did the police not determine that from the very beginning? It makes zero sense to me.
It pains me to say, but this was just so disappointing. This book could have been part of Broken Prince, without all the unnecessary filler and drama that went nowhere.
I do plan on reading the rest of this series since it finally focuses less on Reed and Ella and more on the rest of the family, but I hope they don't have Twisted Palace's slow pacing and unnecessary chapters.
One of my favorite Bully Romance series. I listed to Twisted Palace on audio and was blown away by the performance. I can't wait to binge the rest of the series.
Ella Harper has never known a life like the one the Royals lead, but now that she has been a part of it she can't imagine living any other way. They aren't your normal family by any means, their messy and destructive, but they have become her family and she will stick by them no matter who tries to come between them. Even if it costs her everything...
The pages of Twisted Palace kept me up into the wee hours of the morning, I had to know how things would turn out for Ella and Reed and I have to say it was quite an entertaining ride. These two have monopolized my thoughts for some time now as I read the trilogy and I often wondered if they'd ever be free to live their lives how they were meant to. With lots of unexpected twists and turns, people constantly interfering, and their own doubts it was easy to think it wouldn't work... but eventually it did. I have loved my time with these two and look forward to reading the next title in the series and see who steals Easton's heart. Highly recommend you take a chance on this series, it's simply perfect and unputdownable!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, via NetGalley, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
This is book 3 in a teen YA soap opera called The Royals Ella is the ward of Calum Royal because her mom died in right after the man who was her father Steve went missing and presumed dead. She lives with Calum in his four boys Reed Easton and the twins Sebastian and Sawyer Callum was about to marry a girl named Brooke who claimed she was pregnant for Reed, who has fallen completely in love with Ella. When Brooke turns of dead in theres footage of him leaving the penthouse he is immediately arrested. To make matters worse Steve shows up and he’s definitely not dead. At first Ella doesn’t want to tell him she is his daughter but he eventually find out and wants her to stop seeing Reed unfortunately it will be what she finds out about him that is the most shocking. is if her boyfriend being arrested and possibly going to jail for life and her dead father reappearing wasn’t enough problems Jordan tries to blackmail Ella this book has many ongoing storylines but each main story problem gets solved by the end of the book this is one of the best teen drama soap operas I have read and I might even be so bold as to say it is my all-time favorite. The characters or scandalous and likable at the same time I love the Royals love Ella and I cannot wait for Book four. Oh I inhale these books so fast and I’m forced to wait for the next one but OMG it’s so worth it I want to think Errin Watt, Berkeley publishing and NetGalley for my free ARC copy please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.
This book delivered all the drama and I was here for it. Ella's long-lost father has resurfaced and her boyfriend is facing major jail time for a crime he denies committing. Reed Royal has a temper and is known for solving his problems with violence so when his future stepmother is killed under suspicious circumstances it doesn't take long for the finger to be pointed in his direction. Ella's father is determined to keep her away Reed and the couple starts to question if they can overcome all the obstacles in their path to save themselves and their families. This book had a bit of a suspense aspect to it and I really enjoyed that. I'm looking forward to the next book.

When I started the series I didn’t realize it had a bit of a suspense factor, but it showed up full throttle in this book. I love being able to use my crime podcast junkie, super sleuthing skills when I’m reading. I kept flipping back and forth between characters on who was the bad guy. I now have to hang my head in shame and hang up my investigative hat because I got it ALL wrong.
Each book pulls me in further and I get more and more invested in the Royal boys. I love all the layers to the characters and the story. It’s constantly evolving and keeps me on my toes.
I tore through this book in less than a day. I kinda feel like a superhero because I gobbled up this book AND mopped my floors. *pats self on the shoulder*.
Seriously, this series may end up on my top reads of the year list. It’s so damn good!
Whew! What a ride this has been! After all the turmoil and drama, we finally get the answers to our questions in 'Twisted Palace'. Of course, they don't come easy and they won't come without widespread repercussions for all of our favorite characters. However, there are a lot of holes and a lot of what ifs and the reader is expected to just accept it. Which is difficult.
Erin Watt’s TWISTED PALACE returns to the world of the Royals, all of which were left reeling following the shocking news of Brooke’s murder and Ella’s dad’s miraculous return.
I really don’t have much to say beyond sharing my disappointment over this final installment of Reed and Ella’s story. I was their biggest fan in the last two books — I easily consider PAPER PRINCESS one of my favorite romance reads of the year, and despite BROKEN PRINCE not delivering the same caliber of a story, I still enjoyed most of it. TWISTED PALACE, however, feels like it belongs in another stratosphere. The major plot twists that culminated in BROKEN PRINCE are what this book is built around, and they just continuously get more and more ridiculous. (I am a voracious sci-fi/fantasy reader and yet I couldn’t even successfully suspend my belief over some of those developments.) Reed and Ella do still have their moments here and there, but these are sporadic and sullied by all of the tangled, unnecessary plot devices that makes TWISTED PALACE feel like a cringeworthy soap opera.
Needless to say, I was really let down by this book, and I don’t plan on continuing with Easton’s spin-off series.
Thanks to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing for an ARC in exchange for a review.
Twisted Palace by Erin Watt is an enthralling, captivating, and sensuous novel that has left an indelible mark on my mind. The compelling characters within its pages possess an irresistible allure, refusing to release their grip on the reader's imagination. Undoubtedly, this book is an absolute necessity for any avid reader.
Wow. That's all. Just wow. HIGHLY recommend this series! I loved everything about it form the characters to the plots, the setting, and all the drama and relationships. Everything about it was perfection.
Thank you to Netgalley and the Publishers for this Advanced Readers Copy of Twisted Palace by Erin Watt!
Once again, so glad this isn't being listed at YA anymore, but this series has made me hate the word "baby" so much. I cringed every time it was used.
The referencing of COVID was ala little jarring since this book was written several years before COVID was a thing but I get it, got to make things more modern day.
Weirdly I only got approved for books 3 and 4, so I am going to use the same Netgalley review for both.
I first read(aka devoured) this series a number of years go as it first released. I am picky when it comes to my bully romances, but this one treads the line perfectly. The writing is just that good. All the books bring all the feels.
So I am super excited that they are getting a new life with a traditional publisher. I hope the authors are encouraged to write more together. I have loved all of their books.
My only disappointment is that the bonus content isn't much. Not worth buying a third copy. But still, for someone who hasn't read them, definitely do so! You won't be disappointed.
I finished this book in a day, and although it was predictable and also the subject matter is definitley appropriate for older teens more than younger ones, I enjoyed it enough to not be able to put it down.
High school drama mixed with spice, murder antics and Ella playing Nancy Drew elevate this book to soap opera status. Erin Watt knows how to create tension by throwing all sorts of messes into the plot. The problematic elements remain.
Thanks to NetGalley and Berkley for the ARC.
