I liked the story telling, merging the past and present , the drawings in between, and the characters. I’d read more of the author.
Oh my goodness! This book was so, so very good. It was the story of Emit and his many escapades with his detective friend Ronnie, his possible daughter Larissa and an ex police officer Martin Zorn. Of course there were other characters, but these were the main ones.
Emit lived in San Francisco and was an artist and an author. One day, Larissa showed up in his apartment and told him she believes he was her father. So they did a paternity test and it turns out it was either him or his twin brother Brian.
This book had it all: murder, mystery, espionage and very good storytelling. It's hard to know what to say about the story because there was so very much going on. I could call it a murder mystery and that's one good way of describing it. Five people died . One died in a fire, one committed suicide - that was Martin Zorn- and three people were killed. The question was who did the killing. The story was convoluted, but I had no problem following it.
I have to say that I love, love loved this book. Every time I thought I had it figured out I was thrown a curve. It kept me guessing. Suffice it to say that whoever reads this book will not be disappointed. I give it five stars.
