I very much enjoyed this new (to me) author! Has a bit of it all, maybe TOO much? We'll see as we get to the next one. Worldbuilding is excellent, but with lots of questions I HOPE will be answered moving forward.

I loved the world-building in this book. It felt fresh and unique, something that I havn't seen before in urban fantasy. I wish I had been given more detail into the specifics of the various supernatural powers. Sometimes I felt they showed up to be convenient for the plot movement and not set before the action started. This led to several moments where the story didn't feel grounded for me. I liked Nicholas and Noory as characters and enjoyed their interactions, and I will probably read the next book. I give this book 3.5/5 stars.

Wow!! I was completely captivated from the beginning and couldn't put the book down and was sad I had to say goodbye to my book friends when I got to the end. The author kept me on the edge of my seat through the twists and turns, ups and downs and incredible romance.

Imaginative, addictive, and quite the adventure. Evil demons, Holy descendents, immortals, Knights Templar (what's any party without them?), betrayal, secrets, and a bit of romance. Something is always happening and all ties together. A winner all around!
