Cole and Isabelle are CIA operatives and boy friend /girl friend . Sensing a suspicious package while reviewing transactions Isabelle diverts a package to Coles cousin, Tess’s place of work in Amsterdam. It was a hasty decision and she immediately second guesses herself. She’s not sure what’s in the package just that the package itself is suspicious . She thinks … that’s probably something cole (her boyfriend) would do and she does it ! She tells Cole but she can tell immediately that had been a bad decision. Cole and Isabelle race to Amsterdam to get the package before Tess opens the package but they are too late . She opens the package and inside is heroin . Cole arrives right after and takes the package to the consulate. They think everything should be calm until a couple hours later when the guard at the museum (where Tess works ) ends up dead…
And so begins the twists , turns and suspense in this fantastic novel .
This is part of the Heirs of Falcon Point series and centers on Cole, Isabelle, Tess, Marit and Lars. You can read it as a stand alone novel if you’d like but I think reading the other will add to this . Get ready to hang on for an adventure . Well done ! Great read.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for a download in exchange for an unbiased review .
This book was such a fun addition to the Heirs of Falcon Point Series! I love this group of cousins that manage to get into crazy situations!
This book is such a great mix of espionage, action, romance, humor, and even European food and travel!
I loved getting to know the different characters better, and to see them grow closer as a family. I love that the cousins didn't know about each other in the first book, but now they trust and love each other.
Definitely read the previous books in the series to understand the characters and their adventures better!
Thank you to Covenant Communications, NetGalley, Traci Hunter Abramson, and Sian Ann Bessey for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest opinions!
This book was such a good read! I love this sequel. Well written and I love that each author’s written works well together
Thrilling, edge of your seat suspense. I loved this book! From an Unknown Sender is the exciting second book in the modern spinoff series of the Heirs of Falcon Point series. (The Danger with Diamonds was the first in the series.) I’m honestly amazed at how Sian Ann Bessey and Traci Hunter Abramson are able to seamlessly weave a fantastic story together that reads as if it’s written by one person. The action, romance, and suspense kept me up most of the night because it was so hard to put down. Total lack of sleep here!
I loved spending more time with Cole, Isabelle, Lars, Marit, and Tess as they try to thwart a drug smuggling ring in Amsterdam during the busy Christmas holiday season. Tess is inadvertently put in danger when Isabelle reroutes a package of a suspected drug dealer to Tess’ workplace. Thinking it’s an early birthday present, she opens up the package not realizing the contents. When the bad guys realize where the package was rerouted, Tess’ life is put in danger. As the three cousins work together along with their significant others, it’s a race against time to shut down the smuggling ring and stay one step ahead of the bad guys.
Along with the suspenseful, action-filled plot are the romances between Cole and Isabelle & Lars and Marit. It’s so fun to see the differences between the male cousins and their approaches to their relationships. Cole is afraid of commitment and while he cares for Isabelle, spending time with her family at Christmas gives him definite cold feet. Lars on the other hand is head over heels for Marit and though he’s nervous, he’s not afraid to voice his true feelings. The good natured teasing between Lars and Cole was so fun and I loved all their interactions. The two couples make a great team and while Cole and Isabelle are trained secret agents, Lars and Marit can completely hold their own.
Taking down the drug smuggling ring undeniably kept me on the edge. Having glimpses of the bad guy’s point of view throughout the story made things even more intense. There were several nail-biting moments leading up to a thrilling conclusion. Now I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
With the perfect blend of romance, humor and suspense, I highly recommend this and the whole series to romantic suspense fans! While it’s the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone. It’s more enjoyable though if you’re familiar with the Heirs of Falcon Point series. I received an advanced complimentary copy from the authors and publisher. All opinions are my own and voluntarily provided.
This is book #2 in the Falcon Point series and can be read alone but will mean more if you have read The Heirs Of Falcon Point (where we were first introduced to the main characters) and it's follow-up book The Danger With Diamonds. Both this novel and the last one were co-written by Traci Hunter Abramson and Sian Bessey. They both fall clearly into the Romantic Suspense Genre.
This novel begins approximately 3 weeks after The Danger With Diamonds finished and is the continuation of what I hope will be an ongoing series. After solving their last mystery, Cole Bridger, (who is an undercover CIA operative) is hoping to spend a relaxing Christmas in Vienna with his girlfriend Isabelle (who is also an undercover operative). Needless to say, it won't be that easy. Isabelle works undercover at a bank and when she is charged with investigation some suspicious financial transactions, she hopes to combine her vacation with her investigation and redirects a suspicious delivery from one museum to another - a museum in Amsterdam where Cole's cousin Tess (sibling to Lars) works. This leads to some devastating consequences and pulls Lars and girlfriend Marit into the criminal goings on and puts them (and Tess) at risk of life and limb.
Once again the two couples find themselves working together to catch the criminals behind what appears to be a huge drug smuggling scheme. They find themselves in all sorts of difficulties as their search progresses. The criminal masterminds are not averse to using murder as a tool to prevent capture.
As a reader, I was delighted to watch the four main characters develop as characters and as friends. They ran into more than their fair share of trouble but each one brought their skills and brainpower into dealing with their situation. At times I found myself holding me breath as I read on to see what would happen. (Hint: Good triumphed)! I felt this novel had a more complete ending than the last but still leaves room for their stories to continue. I wonder what will happen next?
Thanks to #NetGalley, Covenant Communications and the authors for allowing me to read an advance reader's copy. All opinions are my own unbiased ones.
From an Unknown Sender is another great addition to the Heirs of Falcon Point series. I fell in love with the Lang family heirs from the moment they were introduced in the first novel and each book since has further endeared them to me. I enjoyed seeing Cole, Lars, and Tess again, and really loved to see all their significant others get more page time. Sian and Traci definitely have created a terrific franchise with loads suspense, mystery, danger, and romance.
This story can be read as a standalone, but it’s much more enjoyable having all the other books and backgrounds caught up on.
Thank you NetGalley, publisher, and authors for the advanced copy, all opinions are my own.
When Isabelle, tasked with investigating suspicious transactions, changes the delivery address on a package to that of a friend, she has no idea of the danger she's inadvertently placing Tess in. But when she and her boyfriend Cole, both CIA operatives, go to Amsterdam to collect the package, they and their friends Lars and Marit soon find themselves in even greater danger as the unknown would-be recipient shows himself to be willing to go to whatever extent he must, including murder, to recover the package. Can they thwart him and those behind him to uncover the unknown sender?
The introduction within the first chapter or so of three couples confused me a little, but once I got past that, this was a definite page-turner. The action is far from constant (which was good and felt more realistic), but in between times there's plenty of background work interspersed with romance to keep them all busy - I felt it worked really well. I enjoyed the interactions between the characters, found their approach to solving the mystery interesting, and appreciated the action - so it was a good read. There were some references to a previous book (which I unfortunately haven't read) and I suspect they may be best read as a series, but I managed anyway once I worked out who everyone was. In fact, I'm hoping for more books in the series! Recommended.
Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from NetGalley. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.
Cole, Isabelle, Lars and Marit return for another adventure. This time the setting is mostly Amsterdam just after Christmas. I don’t even want to imagine the cold, but it’s described in all its frigid glory.
Instead of diamonds, the characters must try to stop an organization that is smuggling drugs.
The relationships between Cole and Isabelle and Lars and Marit deepen as they spend Christmas together. The danger they face afterward creates doubt which is resolved.
I love this cast of characters and really recommend starting with the beginning- Heirs of Falcon Point and then reading Danger with Diamonds before starting From and Unknown Sender. It’s the only way to really appreciate the growth and relationships that are developing.
The suspense is great and the romance light but meaningful.
I would recommend this book to everyone.
A fast paced read that takes readers into the dark underworld of a drug smuggling, as Cole and Isabelle fight to unravel the smuggling ring before the ones they love are hurt.
Action packed read that pulled me in from the very beginning, I loved that it brought back Merit and Lars, along with Isabell and Cole in this thrilling chase filled adventure. A well written plot that kept me on my toes along with a fantastic cast of returning characters. I loved the setting and the suspense, as well as the relationship building along the way, with double the romance.
Well paced, and hard to put down, this is a must read for fans of the series. Great tension and high stakes throughout, highly recommend!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Amazing! I loved the book. Picking up shortly after The Danger with Diamonds, this adventure grabs hold right away. When a package arrives on her birthday, she mistakenly thinks it's a gift, and opens it. What she finds inside, only brings trouble. The Lang descendants have another crime on their hands. Some must go into hiding while the rest help the authorities bring down a crime ring.

From an Unknown Sender is the third book in the Heirs of Falcon Point Suspense series. Even though this book has its own storyline/events, I highly recommend reading this series in order so you get to know the characters more deeply.
In this book, Marit, Lars, Cole, and Isabelle find themselves thrown together once again in a race to determine the identity of a drug smuggling murderer. They intercept a package from an unknown sender which includes clues and a code they have to decrypt in order stop the bad guys. Lots of video surveillance and a few gun fights are involved to save the day.
My impression: I have enjoyed the Falcon Point Heirs series thoroughly. This book in particular was a little slow for me, and there were no huge developments between the couples that interested me. I liked the romantic tension and developments better in the first two books. They also spent a lot of time talking about food in this book, which was distracting to me. However, I do plan to keep reading the future books in this series because I love the Falcon Point Heirs family and the overarching storyline.
Content: Kisses only, no swear words, gun-shooting action scenes but no gore or intense violence.
Thank you to Covenant Communications and NetGalley for giving me this complementary book in exchange for my honest review. My review is in no way influenced by the publisher.
'...the CIA and Interpol needed answers, and Cole had been tasked with finding them.'
Romantic Suspense.
One of the best genres out there.
I've been a longtime fan of both of these author's books and when they combine their efforts it's double the fun and excitement...as well as suspense and mystery!
The suspense is great in this one. My proof is that I started this one in the early evening and finished when the sun was coming up. This book was completely un-put-down-able and the hours of sleep I missed out on were totally worth losing being able to see this book come alive, and of course trying to figure out how it would end!
The romance-so good. Two couples means double the swoon factor. Throw these couples in the middle of shoot-offs, high speed chases while trying to figure out coded documents...that is the definition of an amazing romantic suspense!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND everything in The Heir's of Falcon Point series/spinoffs as well as both of these author's individual novels. So, so good. Every single one of them!
Thanks to the authors, publisher and NetGalley for the copy. All thoughts in this review are my own.
Content: suspense, mild violence, kisses only
If you like action with a little bit of romance, this is the story for you. I enjoyed revisiting some of the characters from Heirs of Falcon Point. However, I am more of a historical fiction fan, so I enjoyed the first part of that story the best and hope we get to hear the story of Karl’s siblings sometime. Still, this was an enjoyable read, just not my chosen genre. This action-packed story of two cousins, along with their girlfriends, trying to uncover a drug smuggling ring was full of suspense and kept me turning the pages to find out the resolution.
"From an Unknown Sender" is a romantic suspense. This is the 2nd novel featuring Cole, Lars, and their girlfriends, but it works as a standalone. Lars and Marit continued to get along well, enjoy their time together, and add to the team when Cole and Isabelle involved them in a case. Isabelle felt guilty about getting them involved and like Cole only invited her along for her help in solving the case. She questioned the strength of their romantic relationship, but she was willing to accept his word when he said that he desired to spend time with her as his girlfriend, too. So they're making progress. He also trusted her abilities as an agent and helped her accept that things rarely go as planned in fieldwork.
So the main characters were likable, skilled, and brave. There was plenty of suspense as the bad guys were willing to kill anyone getting in the way of their drug smuggling business. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this enjoyable suspense novel.
This book started out with a bang but I'm sorry to say I lost interest half-way through. I was very impressed with the amount of research that the authors must have done. And the character development was very well done. This is not to say that this book will not keep other readers' interest the whole way through. There was a lot of action and suspense the whole way through!
I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through NetGalley for my honest opinion.

This book is part of the Falcon Point series. It was fast paced and hard to put down, Cole Bridger, a CIA operative, is on the huInt for drug dealers. What he really wants is time alone with his girlfriend Isabel. When Isabel redirects a package to a museum she doesn't know that it could put Cole's cousins Tess and Lars in danger. Cole thought a quick business transaction in Amsterdam would be quick until it turns into a hunt for a1 murderer.. I would highly recommend reading all of the books in series.
This book is a thrill ride from beginning to end. This story follows Cole, Isabelle, Lars and Marit with a brief scene or two with Tess and Brahm. Trying to bring down a drug smuggling operation is proving to be very dangerous for Cole, especially when his cousins accidently get dragged into the danger again. This book is fast paced and full of great action. I would definitely recommend it to all those who want a very well written book with action, intrigue and a bit of romance.
Abramson and Bessey have teamed up again for another CIA adventure. Cole is a CIA field agent and his girlfriend Isabelle is authorized by the CIA and keeps an eye on an international bank where she works in Vienna. When she notices some irregularities in an account she sends a package heading to Amsterdam to a different location. Alerting Cole they head there to see what is being shipped. Cole’s cousin Lars is there along with his model girlfriend Marit, they helped them in the first book of this series, The Danger of Diamond (Oct 2022). The foursome, together try and solve a mystery that includes drug trafficking and murder.
This can be read as a standalone but if you want a better introduction to the characters read the previous book. I know reading these authors I’m going to get a clean book for language, some kissing and non graphic mayhem. I thought some of the cousin banter was missing between the men but I like friendly conversations between Marit and Isabelle. I love Amsterdam as the location and could easily envision the museums and canals. I would have liked a little more on the romance side too. There is easy familiarity in the kissing but no discussing feelings. I am really enjoying the Falcon Point Suspense novels but it can be a little confusing as there are also Falcon Point historical novels. As I’ve read everything in the series it took me a moment at the beginning to place the characters and remember the connections.
Thank you to NetGalley and Covenant Communications for the ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review
I had high hopes for this book and am sorry not to have enjoyed it more. I usually love just about anything written by Sian Ann Bessey. Traci Hunter Abramson is a new-to-me author. It is always difficult for two authors to combine their talents. At least in the case of Sian Ann Bessey, I feel her greatest strengths were not on display. in From an Unknown Sender, I missed the wonderful characters that usually populate even her lightest books and the historical or socially thought-provoking tidbits that usually flavor her fiction. As to the book itself, I found the story kind of flat and the characters more sketched out than full-blooded. Others have given this book higher grades and I suggest that readers check out those reviews to get a sense of whether From an Unknown Sender might be right for them.
.
FROM AN UNKNOWN SENDER is the third novel in the Falcon Point Series by TRACI HUNTER ABRAMSON and SIAN ANN BESSEY, and although it can easily stand alone, if you have read the first two books, it is good to catch up on some of the heroes of Falcon Point.
The book is very exciting with plenty of shootouts and codebreaking together with some romance. The story takes place in Amsterdam with Cole and Isabelle, Lars and Marit, with the help of Isabelle’s father chasing after a drug gang …..
The story is fast paced and well written and I recommend From an Unknown Sender to anyone who enjoys a really exciting thriller.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Covenant Communications. The opinions in this review are completely my own.
