Thank you, Forever, for providing me with an advanced reader’s copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is the second book I’ve read by Lizzie Shane in the Pine Hollow series. The other book I read was Pride & Puppies, where Charlotte was the main character. You don’t need to read the entire series to enjoy this book—it works perfectly as a standalone. If you do enjoy it, though, you might want to go back and read the others. One thing I love about this series is how the stories include adorable dogs as part of the narrative!

In this book, Kendall takes center stage. She’s managing her family’s ski resort, working tirelessly to keep the business afloat and make it profitable again. Once an avid and accomplished skier, Kendall’s life took a drastic turn after a bad accident during her Olympic trials. Since then, she hasn’t competed—or even set foot on skis.

Enter Brody, her brother’s best friend, who has just returned to town. Brody is a successful professional skier going through his own personal crisis, feeling burnt out and unsure about his next steps. When Kendall and Brody were younger, they used to spend time together skiing until Brody became closer to her brother. Naturally, Kendall isn’t thrilled to see him back in town and assumes he won’t be staying long.

As the story unfolds, Kendall and Brody start spending more time together. Brody even offers to help out with renovations on a family loft at the resort. Slowly, they begin to reconnect and confront their personal challenges, reigniting a connection they both didn’t expect.

I loved how the childhood game of truth and dare was woven throughout the story, from their early friendship to their budding relationship. It added a playful yet meaningful element to their journey.
I read this book quickly and thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s a sweet, feel-good story that’s light and easy to read. If you’re looking for a heartwarming book with a happy ending that doesn’t demand too much emotional energy, this is a great choice!

Thank you, Netgalley, the author, and Forever Books for the gifted e-book! ❤️ #gifted. My review is comprised of my honest thoughts.

Read this book if you like: Childhood friends, grumpy sunshine, silly animals

This was so damn cute. I can't believe it took me so long to get to it. It was sweet, heartfelt, and so funny. I loved it!

Kendall and Brody have a history. Kendall was going to be an olympic skier until she had a career ending accident at 17 and instead has been working at her family's ski lodge for the last 6 years. Brody was her brother's best friend, olympic skier, childhood crush and now he's taking a mental break and working at the same resort which will be hosting his sister's wedding.

The chemistry and interactions they share are so fun. The fact that Brody is the first to share his feelings made me happy since it's not typical. The secondary characters were great too. Kendall's friends Charlotte and Magda helped progress the story and I look forward to their books.

Lizzie Shane has done it again with another absolute heartwarming story. I related to Kendall so much and how she had to push herself up from everyone doubting her. She was such a force and I loved getting to meet her. Shane did an amazing job at creating this set of childhood friends and building up to their moment where we would find out so many things in regards to Kendall and Brody, as well as what happened to Brody, and the history of him in his olympics journey. I look forward to reading more of Lizzie's work and more cozy romances. She truly creates the most joyful books, you have no choice but to fall in love with her stories!

This book was a cute rom com. I loved how they had a second chance for a relationship. I loved that she was able to finally stand up to her dad and how she got her happily ever after. Thank you to netgalley, the author and the publisher for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book.

This is an adorable friend to lovers with a side of grumpy sunshine romance. It's sweet and edgy and a wonderful story to read. Another magical masterpiece by Lizzie Shane

Was nothing less than what I expected but not my favorite type of romance. There are a lot of people who love Hallmarky type romances and at times I do as well but this just didn't hit for me unfortunately!

The adorable cover and title sucked me in to this book, but I felt a bit misled. There were weddings and there WAS a puppy, but the dog was a very minor part of the story which was actually a childhood friends to lovers about two (former and/or aspiring) Olympic skiers. I had trouble getting into it, as I didn't feel a lot of chemistry between the leads, and the story seemed to lack direction. I wasn't interested and forced myself to read through it to the end. I wish I could say I enjoyed this more, but I was left a bit disappointed.

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for sharing an ARC with me for my honest review.

This book sounded so adorable with the wedding and puppies aspect, however, I had no interest in continuing this story. It was fun for the time being, but I have too many books to get to… I loved the cover, but I wasn’t aware this was part of an interconnected (maybe?!) series.

The story felt way “too sweet” which wasn’t a bad thing, it just wasn’t what I was in the mood for. I never felt like I cared enough to finish the book.

I’m sad this one didn’t work out the way I wanted it to, I’m sure it’s an incredible story… I just wasn’t feeling it at the time so I had to DNF.

Thank you so much NetGalley and Forever for the review copy in exchange for my honest review!

This was such a sweet, slightly cheesy hallmark-movie of a book! It’s a second chance romance featuring skiers at a resort near a small town in Vermont. And as the title would suggest, a hilarious chaos agent in the form of a golden retriever puppy. If you’re looking for an easy read, would recommend! Thanks @readforeverpub for the copy; the book is already out so you can read it now!

I liked this twist on Four Weddings and a Baby, because we all know puppies > babies any time at all! The Pine Hollow is just adorable, with the puppies, the fun atmosphere, etc.

Kendall Walsh was on the path to becoming an Olympic skier, but the plan was scrapped after a career-ending injury. Now she’s pivoted to wedding planning to help bring in the business that her family’s struggling ski resort desperately needs. When her mischievous foster puppy makes a break for the five-tiered wedding cake at the first wedding she coordinated, Brody James steps in at the last second to save the day (and the cake).

Brody James: Olympic skier, her brother’s best friend, and her first crush. He’s in town for reasons she doesn’t quite believe and stirring up feelings that Kendall thought she had put to rest. As the pair work together to breathe new life into an old lodge on the resort’s property, they start to realize that, though they may not be where they want to be, they might just be exactly where (and with who) they need to be.

This return to Pine Hollow feels a little detached from the rest of the series as it takes place mostly at the resort and not within the city proper—which is not a complaint! It’s fun to be able to see characters that we know and love from the previous books in a new setting and a new light and Shane has mastered the art of the interconnected stand-alone. It’s a fun change of pace to head to the slopes in this story and escape (a little bit!) from all the gossip of the city.

Of course, our main characters get their happily ever after (this is a capital r Romance after all!), but it’s also lovely to see there are happily ever afters for other kinds of relationships in this story as well! Both Kendall and Brody have strain in their familial relationships (in very different ways) and Shane does a good job of not only portraying the struggles but the resolution as well. Not only that, but their respective relationships with skiing evolves throughout the story and can easily be translated to anything that someone is passionate about to make it super relatable.

If you’re anything like me, you have been waiting (maybe not-so-patiently!) for a certain pair to find their way to each other and it truly feels like this book needed to happen first. Shane masterfully plants Easter eggs to tease what’s to come while still staying true to the overall Pine Hollow story throughout. Not only do we get a bit of a glimpse into the future, but Shane also allows us to take a peek at where the characters from the first four books are now.

I FLOVED this book so much!!!

The characters were the bets, the story was funny and interesting, and there was a DOG!!
How could you not love it? Haha.

I like the whole past friends reuniting kinda story though. It's right up there with like brothers old friend or bully books for me.

And there were just enough light hearted moments with there still being some serious times mixed in too.
I feel like there were so many details and things fleshed out in this book. And I really appreciated that.

I hadn't previously read any books from Lizzie, and had heard mixed reviews on others. But I will say she is definitely an author I'm adding to my list after this book.

I needed this sort of story. I've said it in a few reviews recently. But I have been hung up on fantasy and romantacy lately. And taking. Break for sports romances and just romances in general has been a break I needed for a while.

I would definitely suggest FOUR WEDDINGS AND A PUPPY

This was a cute story overall, and I honestly requested it on the adorable cover alone before knowing what it was about. It was a sweet contemporary romance between Kendall and Brody, who have instant attraction.

WHAT TO EXPECT
-brother’s best friend
-sports romance
-friends to lovers
-all the banter

*many thanks to Forever and Netgalley for the gifted copy for review

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of “Four Weddings and a Puppy” by Lizzie Shane. All opinions are my own.

This is my second book by this author (previously read Sweeter Than Chococlate, also courtesy of NetGalley) and was excited for more. Overall I really enjoy this authors writing style.

I felt like a lot of this book was referencing past things that I didn’t know or had missed. And then I found out it was the 5th book of the Pine Hollow series so I wish I had known that before. But I definitely plan to read book 4 (Charlotte’s story) and I am guessing book 6 will be about Magda later this year.

I could see this as a cute hallmark movie too!

Very enjoyable romance story…with the added cuteness of a dog. Two old friends, professional skier and retired skier , reuniting and trying to resolve their futures with much soul searching for the right answers. Really enjoyed this one.
