A cute, small town romance between two childhood best friends and there's also an adorable puppy? Sign me up!
This book was so sweet! It's the fifth book in the Pine Hollow book series. I haven't read the other books in the series, and this can definitely be read a standalone. I fell in love with Kendall and Brody. Growing up, they were best friends, and they spent time skiing and training together. Kendall had a huge crush on Brody when they were teenagers, but she was his best friend's sister so he didn't see her that way.
After a skiing accident, Kendall goes back home to work at her family's ski resort while Brody continues his skiing career. When he returns to Pine Hollow for a family wedding, he wants to take a break from skiing to spend time with his family and determine if he wants to keep skiing.
He agrees to work at Kendall's family ski resort, and they work together to renovate a small lodge. As they spend time together, their feelings start to grow. They also both take care of a wild puppy named Banner (He's named after the Hulk!).
Brody and Kendall were so good for each other! I loved this cute story, and it was so heartwarming!
I definitely recommend this book. Thanks to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for and ARC of this book.
An enjoyable romance between two childhood friends whose passion for skiing took different paths. Reunited at a wedding can they find their way together to achieve new dreams.
This was another wonderful book by Lizzie Shane. I can't get enough of her books. She will grab you from the beginning and hold you until the end! You will fall in love with Kendall, Brody and of course the puppy Banner. This is a brothers best friend to lover trope and I was all for it. I always love a book that makes you smile and laugh. I definitely recommend this book!!!
Thank you NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for allowing me to read this ARC in advance for my honest opinion.
Lizzie Shane book are always bingeable cozy reads and I haven't read one yet that I didn't love and this one didn't disappoint.
The puppy drama adds so much fun and choas to the story that you can't help but laugh and maybe shake your head.
This is friends to lovers and brothers best friend romance.
One of the wedding dance songs was "All of me" and that's my wedding song so how could I not swoon.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC...Cute little romance. Brody is super sweet and patient ....Kendall's friends are funny and witty. Kendall frustrated me a bit when she refuses to get out of her stubborn head for entirely too long. But throw in a dog and a few quirky scenes and you will want to come back for more.
I enjoyed this book, it was an easy and fluffy read. Finished it in a day. I definitely will be reading more from this author in the future.

This book was super cute and I had a blast reading it. It was compelling and witty, and sweet and romantic!
Puppies fix all your problems. End of story. Two people failed to have the life of their dreams so they get a dog and fall in love. Cute rom com!
It’s so nice to go back to Pine Hollow in Four Weddings and a Puppy to revisit the old friends and found family created by Lizzie Shane. Dogs are part of these old friends and found family, as well. This time a big mischievous, chaos monster dog named Banner.
Interesting story about childhood friends and the elite athletes they became with different outcomes. Competing at a high level and the stress that comes with it and how to create a more balanced life is a large part of this romance. Also this
wasn’t like most romance books where you have the big break up in the third act, but Kendall and Brody did have to decide how they wanted to have work/life balance and how they wanted to move forward together but still keep their separate identities and the passions that make them unique.

This was my first Lizzie Shane and I immediately need to go back and read the rest of the series, to hopefully hear more about some of the supporting characters stories!! Set in Pine Hollow, Vermont, at a ski resort, I couldn’t help but be sucked in, having grown up skiing in Vermont myself. While I was never nearly as fast as Brody and Kendall, this book just brought back all the nostalgia. I really enjoyed their story and the entire community created! Thanks Netgalley for introducing me to this author!!
For me, this story was about one overwhelming question for this couple: How tough is it to live up to expectations, especially when they are your own and you’ve set the bar far too high for yourself? Both Kendall and Brody are really tough on themselves but...good thing they are back together in their hometown as these two really need to help each other. And their story is heartwarming and heartbreaking, with a dash of humor all around, especially with a foster-fail puppy, Banner. I think Banner’s unabashedly enthusiastic zest for life and what makes him happy is a great example for these two.
An adorable quick read with a storyline that's more than just romance. There is so much character development between the love interests and you just can't help but root for Kendall and Brody. I really enjoyed this, it's definitely for anyone who enjoys hallmark movies as someone else stated.
This was a very fast read but it was very heartfelt and had great characters. It had angst, romance, vulnerability, and mental health awareness. I loved the banter and also the meaningful conversations that MCs shared with each other.
This book was so cute! I love a good friends to lovers romance and adding in a crazy little troublemaking puppy? Perfection!

Four Weddings and a Puppy" by Lizzie Shane is an utterly charming and heartwarming read that left me with a huge smile on my face. Kendall and Brody, childhood friends brought back together by a mischievous pup, navigate their way through life's twists and turns. Kendall, determined to salvage her family's ski resort, and Brody, an Olympic skier with his own secrets, find solace and unexpected love in each other's company.
This book is an adorable blend of friends-to-lovers and second chance romance, set against the backdrop of weddings and a playful, disaster-prone puppy. The chemistry between Kendall and Brody is palpable, and their journey from old friends to something more is beautifully portrayed. The story resonates with themes of chasing dreams, finding where one truly belongs, and the power of unconditional love.
If you're a fan of athletes, heartwarming connections, and adorable furry sidekicks, "Four Weddings and a Puppy" is an absolute must-read. Lizzie Shane delivers a delightful tale that will warm your heart and leave you rooting for this endearing couple all the way.
Four Weddings and a Puppy by Lizzie Shane is nothing short of adorable and warm! Kendall is working at the family ski lodge, trying to keep it afloat by bringing in weddings for more business. Brody is a professional skier, running away from something. The two are old friends who maybe could’ve been something more. When Kendall’s mess of a foster dog helps them to reconnect, can they overcome their individual personal struggles to come together?
This book is great if you are into:
- Friends to lovers
- Second chance romance
- Athletes
- Cute, disastrous puppies!
Highly enjoyable and apparently part of a series, though you don’t need to read the books to understand this one!! I’ll definitely be checking out the other books in this series though!
This was a fast and heartfelt read! I went in expecting angst and romance and yes it did deliver on those counts, but there were also a lot of vulnerable discussions surrounding sports and injuries and mental health which I loved.
Also, the dog!!! 😭 Cutest <3
TWs - suicide of a character in the past, ski injuries (also injuries severe enough to halt a skiing career)

Kendall is trying to save her family's ski resort but hosting weddings and becoming a wedding planner. With her reputation on the line thanks to a mischievous, cake-loving pup she is rescued by her childhood crush and her brother's best friend, Brody James. Oh and lets not forget he's an Olympic Skier!
⭐⭐⭐⭐.5/5
The relationship between Kendal and Brody is swoon-worthy and had me squealing all over the place. It was refreshing to watch childhood friends reconnect in such a sweet fashion. There is very little spice, but it makes up for it with good vibes and a sweet pup.
Four Weddings and a Puppy by Lizzie Shane is one of a series of books set in Pine Hollow, VT but you absolutely can read it as a standalone. Although be prepared to want to go back and read the other books.
This dual POV is opposites attract/sunshine and grump where she’s the grump, although not without cause, and he’s a sweet ray of sunshine. I love how Kendall and Brody were supportive and determined to help each other deal with past hurts and fears – pushing but never demanding.
Lots of chemistry and swoony kisses but the sex scenes are fade to black.
Kendall’s group of friends were the absolute best – always there for each other no matter what. Some of the scenes like the post-bachelorette party had me gigglesnorting like mad. So funny!

Kendall Walsh is trying to save her family's struggling ski resort. She's pushed her dad into catering more to the wedding crowd, and she's become the wedding planner now, and her reputation is on the line. So is the wedding cake, when foster dog Banner goes on a menacing rampage.
Thank goodness for Brody James, who shows up and steps between the dog and the cake, just in the nick of time. Body is a popular Olympic athlete, but he's come home for a break to physically and emotionally heal.
Triggers for mental health and suicide mention.
The relationship between Kendall and Brody is adorable. I love watching the two childhood friends reconnect and realize there's more now between them. So much fun exploring the new side of the relationship. The spice is minimal, but this feels like a happy little Hallmark story. Good vibes, love the dog, and really enjoyed Kendall and Brody's growing love for each other.
