This is a cute little story about a girl who loves animals and wants to be just like them.

Each page shows a different animal and how she acts like them.
Young children will love this story, being told from her Dad's POV.

Thank you, NetGalley, the publisher and the author for giving me a chance to read the ARC of this book. As an adult, honestly speaking, it doesn't make an impact on me but upon reading this, all I can say is, "It's really a children's book. It's something I can give to a child who just started reading as kids love books with so many cute drawings, easy to read and help them make use of their imagination. It is something that they will enjoy and also help them learn.

I read this to my 3 year old son.

Thanks to Chouette Publushing for My Favourite Animal.
We enjoyed the illustrations and crazy antics of Ariadna. Lachy loved pointing out the different animals, making the sounds they made, and thought their behaviour was funny.
It is a perfect story for any little one who loves animals and a fun read for the adult too.

So I read this one with my two and three year old. They very much enjoyed the different animals in the book and had great fun telling me with great enthusiasm which noise the animals made - (according to them a peacock sounds like a chicken - who knew?)
The both now want to go to a big animal party and are pretending they are different animals. It's a sweet story about the different animals a little girl like to pretend are her friends. She acts like them and her favourite is revealed at the end with clues hidden throughout the book so your little one can guess as you read.

This is such a sweet book! So entertaining for toddles with all the activity on each page. I read it to my 2yo and tried to help her figure out Ariadna’s favorite animal that kept showing up! My daughter love it!

All the scenarios of how this little girl pretended to be an animal at certain points in the day were very relatable!! I have a little animal, too!

Cute story and wonderfully done illustrations. Two thumbs up!

Thank you, NetGalley, for the early copy!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC! A cute read for animal lovers for sure! Different kinds of animals are highlighted as we go through the main character, Ariadna's, routine. A good example of comparing yourself to animals throughout the book as well.

My Favorite Animal is a cute book that shows how kids are alike/can relate to animals. The pictures really made it immersive for me. Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC to review.

My Favorite Animal is about Ariadna, a little girl who is like different animals throughout the day. Sometimes she's soft and cuddly like a cat, other times, she's loud as a lion! Throughout the day, she identifies with traits of different animals. This is a fun trip through her day. We get to meet lots of different animals and see what some of their most notable traits are.

The illustrations in this book are adorable, but a few of them are kind of confusing. In general, they are fanciful and fun, though. Young kids will love this one, as they are all sure to relate to at least a few of these!

Thanks Netgalley for the opportunity to review this eARC in exchange for my honest review on the book!

This book is worth it! The imagination and pictures in this book is stunning and will have kids really paying attention. And the hidden cats on each page is genius and makes it more interactive.

My Favorite Animal is about little Ariadna and how her behaviors and attitudes are similar to different kinds of animals. My 3 and 5 year old boys really enjoyed this one. They really liked going back a second time and trying to find cats hiding as instructed on the last page. The illustration was colorful and fun. This would be a great book for new readers.

Thank you to NetGalley and Chouette Publishing, CrackBoom! Books for allowing me to be an early reader in exchange for my honest review.

"My Favorite Animal" is a fun children's book for animal lovers. It is a beautiful picture book illustrated from the point of view of a child who loves to imitate her favorite animals. As a mother to a young toddler, this book made me laugh out loud. Like Ariadna, my daughter turns into a squirming lion when it's time to get dressed, and she is also like an elephant in the bathtub. I liked the fun game of trying to guess which animal was Ariadna's favorite. It really made me pay attention to the story and look at all of the illustrations.

Thank you to NetGalley and Chouette Publishing, CrackBoom! Books for the e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

My Favorite Animal

Penelope loves animals and likes to pretend she is an animal. The reader is invited to guess what her favorite animal might be as she imitates a number of animals during the day,

This beautifully illustrated book will be a great deal of fun for children to examine and read.

This is such a cute book. I love the interactive aspect of it and how it introduces all the different animals. I can’t wait to add this one to our shelves.

The book was cute and the illustrations were fun. I felt like the story itself was for very young toddlers but noticing the cats (which were not easy to find if you didn’t know to look for them) was for an older set. I like that the page at the end told you what you were looking for at the end and that’s another activity for you to go back and do but I think it needs like a beginning page to let the reader to know to pay close attention to the picture or they are very easy to miss. Being hard to find is cool it just seems at odds with the level of the story. I viewed this as a digital copy and so that may just not lend well to the story. I will read this with my child but I’ll make sure to ask him what else he sees on the page.

My Favourite Animal is an absolutely delightful book for children - especially children who love animals!

Ariadna is a little girl who loves animals so much that she spends most of her day imitating various creatures - beasts and fish and birds.

Sometimes, she even arranges her stuffies so that they look like a little girl instead of looking like stuffed toys.

And this little girl also has a favourite animal. But you have to read the book to find out which one that is.

As well as the story, I loved the illustrations, which are stunningly well-done. All the creatures in the pictures, including the child, are very cute And my favourite of Ariadna's guises was her lion imitation...

I highly recommend this book to anyone who has young children, and give it 5 stars on the basis of the enjoyment I myself derived from it!

My 4 year old animal obsessed loved this book, her favourite part was when Ariadna hid to avoid going in the bath because she too does this.
