I really enjoyed this book and read it over two days on holiday. I liked the style of writing and found the book easy to read and follow. The new nanny Christa seems perfect but she is there for other motives other than just being a nanny to Wyatt and it all comes to light as the book progresses. A very enjoyable, entertaining read with lots of twists and turns. Can’t wait to read the next in the series!

The New Nanny grabbed me from the very beginning and didn’t let go until the end.
What started off as the main character “the new nanny” trying to get her child back in the most unethical way of forging documents to be his nanny turned into a dark and twisty ride.

As I read this book, I ended up having empathy for most of the characters for one reason or another.
The reveals that happened left me shocked, all of them! It was full of twists and turns.
If you want a book that will make you want to read it in one session you need to read this!

I enjoyed this one a lot and was so excited that there was going to be a second part to it. It was a very entertaining suspenseful book series that I enjoyed a lot. I would give it five out of five stars. I would highly recommend.

A really sinister thriller, it gets under your skin and left me thinking about it for days after! I wish I’d read it sooner!!

Christy is the new nanny. She travels from America to a village in Austria and she moves into a fabulous house where Robin and Paul live with their teenage son Wyatt. He was adopted and Robin is struggling to cope after having a miscarriage. We soon realise as Christy starts bonding with Wyatt that she has tracked him down as she believes that he is her long lost son who was taken away from her at birth. But all is not what it seems in the family as she becomes suspicious when told that Wyatt is not allowed to go into the village and it appears that he has no friends. When Christy is treated with hostility when shopping in the village she discovers that their last nanny, Eva, had disappeared seven years previously and that rumour has it that Robin and Paul had murdered her. Everyone is keeping secrets and Christy begins to fear for her life. This was a totally absorbing book, full of suspense with so many twists and turns. An edge of the seat read. I look forward to the next book.

This one is sure you creep
You out and make you more aware if you have young children.
Great domestic thriller that I couldn’t put down.

A scary premise for people with young children. Christa takes a job as a nanny to a wealthy family with a young child called Wyatt, but who is the suspicious one; Christa or the family? A page turner which keeps you guessing as to the motive of each of the characters! Will keep you gripped and wanted to know more!

This is an OK book.

Woth a coffee in hand and a light music to drown our the noise, this is a cozy thriller. Wouldn't say that this deserves a 5 star-rating but it definitely got me out of my reading slump.

Absolutely jaw dropping twists galore and OMG the suspense was killing me. I had definitely not expected it to turn out like that but it was totally breathtaking!

I liked this book, I just didn't love it. I thought there was a lot of promise to the story, but it felt slow and drawn out in parts that took me out of it. There is a sequel that I am planning to read.

At first, I thought this was going to be a slow read for me, but once it got going, the twists and turns did not stop right to the very last page. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

This story about a woman named Christa, who had to give up her baby and never stops looking for him. She takes a job as a nanny/housekeeper for a well-known wealthy family, She realizes quickly the family is not normal and she seeks comfort in a man in the village who connects with her and together their story has more unexpected turns and twists. But the ending! Wow - nice job. I enjoyed it very much.

The New Nanny is a twisted take on the nanny domestic thriller genre because The New Nanny is Wyatt’s birth mom. The nanny has secrets and so does everyone else in the house! I can not wait for the sequel!

I really wanted to like this book. The blurb sounded great but it gave away a bit too much. It was very slow to get into and I just couldn't warm to any of the characters. I felt like I was waiting for something to happen the whole way through

This one took a bit to get into but once I was it sped along. Very enjoyable read. I didn't figure out the ending which is a -lie for me. I will be reading the next in the series.

The book lacked compelling characters and the plot felt disjointed, making it a struggle to stay engaged. The writing style failed to captivate, leaving the overall reading experience unsatisfying. And I did not know it was a series when I started it, which is my fault. However, I will not be continuing with the series

This book was such a pleasant suprise. I loved it. I cant wait to read number 2 in the series. It was fast paced, unpredictable, just what I like in a book.

My second book by L.G Davis and I enjoyed it just as much as the last one I read from her. Great intriguing story.

Crista is excited to join the Mayer family on their 3 month summer break to Austria as a nanny/housekeeper. Her nannying job should be fairly simple as Robin and Paul’s son, Wyatt, is 15 years old however soon after she arrives, she realises that Wyatt’s needs are more emotional than everyday functional as Robin and Paul spend virtually no time with him and barely even acknowledge him. Crista is determined to give Wyatt the love and attention he needs and when she does this, she sees the quiet withdrawn boy eventually start coming out of his shell. However, things soon begin to become strange, Robin tells Crista that Wyatt is not allowed out of the house despite him being a teenage boy who should be around teenagers of his own age. Crista is baffled even more when she ventures into the local village and as soon as the locals find out she works for the Mayers they become extremely unfriendly and will barely talk to her. Then she meets James, a local, who is eager to talk to her and explains why the locals are acting the way they are. 7 years ago, the Mayer family had a nanny, Eva, who suddenly disappeared, and the locals are certain the Mayers murdered her, but no evidence has ever been found. Crista is shocked by this and worries about the safety of Wyatt, who she has been become very close to, and also worries for her own safety, so she decides to try and find proof of anything that might have happened. However, it isn’t just the Mayer family who are hiding secrets, Crista and James both have huge secrets of their own that neither of them wants to come out, but secrets have a habit of being revealed sooner rather than later! Will Crista find proof that a crime did take place and that Wyatt and herself are in danger or have the locals got it wrong and the Mayers are innocent?!

Another good book from L.G Davis. I loved the tension of this book, and the author captured the creepy feel of the Mayer family perfectly. It was a little bit of a slow burn until half way through when the story suddenly sped up and carried on at that pace until the end. I had quite strong feelings about a few of the characters and loved how no-one was really who they seemed and how my feelings about each character changed as the story emerged. I have to admit I did guess both Crista’s and Robin’s secrets quite early on, but this didn’t ruin my enjoyment of the book at all, I was secretly pleased to have figured it out. I do think this is down to the fact that I read a lot of psychological thrillers rather than the secrets being obvious though.

Ultimately, a great psychological thriller from L.G Davis that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to any fans of this genre. I am very excited to start the second one in the series “The Nanny’s Child” and I can’t wait to read what L.G Davis writes next.

I got pretty sucked into this, it was fast paced and the writing flowed easy.
However, I felt the ending was really rushed, and there was not enough built up suspense for the twists.

I think you are way better off going into this one blind, it's more fun that way!
