There’s alot to unpack here.
Imagine you have faked your resume to get a job of your dreams but you only went for this job for one reason only. They won’t be getting rid of you too easy and you won’t let them make you leave. You have a mission and and nothing will stop you from getting what you came for.. but then Robin and her husband start acting weird. Wyatt seems like a normal boy when he’s not around his parents. What’s going on with this family and why do I feel a sense of danger. This book was fast paced and thrilling with some action! I enjoyed this story and read it quite quickly cause I NEEDED to know what was going to happen omg! The shocking twists and turns leaving the ending wanting more! I’ll have to read the second book asap called the Nanny’s Child.
I was gladly accepted for an advanced readers copy through @netgalley

Wow! Another fantastic read by LG Davis! She is just delightful and her books never disappoint. Lots of creepy tension keeps this novel going at quite a clip and kept me up past my bedtime.
I totally loved the characters and all of their quirks.
Thank you LG Davis, NetGalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read and review this book.
WOW WOW WOW! The ending had me so shaken up! There were so many plot twists that I just could not stop wanting more. It was very difficult to put this book down!
While there are so many books lately about nannies, this one held its own with plenty of differences giving it a certain appeal. That said, this had a particular writing style that is reminiscent of Freida McFadden, which is a good thing. This was an easy, quick read that left me satisfied but wanting more in the end, which I guess is why this is the first book of a series. There were some things that annoyed me about the protagonist when things that made sense to me immediately, she failed to see as quickly as she should have. However, that would of made the book alot shorter had that happened. The only real complaint I had was that the description kind of gives away what would of been a good twist. Overall, this was quick, enjoyable and the perfect read to get me out of my slump. Three and a half stars rounded up.
Thank you Netgalley and Bookouture for this ARC.
Christa Rogers travels to Austria to take a position as a nanny to a 15 year old boy, Wyatt.
She makes a connection with Wyatt who doesn't have much to do with his absent father, or his mother who confines herself to her room.
Christa has a secret, but finds out that her employers also have their secrets.
I felt that this novel was a little slow to begin with. Once I got past the halfway mark, I started to enjoy it, needing to get some answers to the hidden secrets, and to find out why Robin seemed like such a bad mother.
There was a massive twist at the end which I was not expecting.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
A thrilling page turner that definitely keeps you guessing throughout, full of secrets and lies.
'One word said by the wrong person at the wrong time could destroy everything'.
Synopsis

As secrets are uncovered, we're met with shocking twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat - all coming to a dramatic climax.
'People say that revenge is a dish best enjoyed cold, but I prefer to serve mine piping hot'.
Thoughts
This was a real page turner of me and I already can't wait for the next book in the series, the blurb looks so exciting!
The characters were really well developed and I enjoyed their different personalities. I'd love to know more about Christa and her backstory, it's hinted at throughout so I'm hoping the next book dives into that a bit deeper.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for this copy. This review is voluntary.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read "The New Nanny" in exchange for my honest review.
This was my first time reading a book by L.G. Davis and a few pages in I could already tell that it would not be my last. The story grabs the reader from the very first chapter and doesn't let you go until the very last page. And then you are left waiting eagerly for the next book in the series.
Christa goes to work as a housekeeper, cook and nanny for the Mayer family, travelling with the from the US to Ruddel, Austria. Their son Wyatt is 15 so he doesn't need a typical nanny. Robin is very protective of Wyatt and doesn't want him leaving the house or going into the village with Christa. It's very confusing to her as to why he is almost a prisoner in the mansion. Christa was creative with her resume stating that she was experienced in child psychology when she really wasn't. She has ulterior motives as to why she needs to be close to this family. Someone is trying to warn Christa to be careful but who could it be?
The house has cameras and Robin watches Christa go about her duties on her iPad. She knows exactly when Christa wakes up, what she does, where she goes in the house. Several times she warms Christa in a cryptic way to not go out or even talk to any of the locals. What is Robin so afraid of Christa finding out?
What happened to their previous nanny? How did she simply vanish? A woman working in a bookshop claims to have seen Christa before but she says she's never been to Austria. A bombshell revelation comes out that Christa thinks she is Wyatt's birth mom and that is why she is so insistent on being close to him. She meets a man in the village named James who she grows close to. They both seem to carry deep secrets.
Robin has kept a journal over the years and the reader gets great insight into this complex character through what she has written about her life, her husband and Wyatt in these pages.
Ms. Davis writes suspense and tension brilliantly. You as the reader are anxious as to whether Christa will get caught when she is searching the mansion for clues. When Robin just pops up out of the blue in a doorway. Wyatt is a much more complex character than the reader is first led the believe.
The book comes to a dramatic climax and all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place. We learn what really happened to Eva and who was actually involved. There are a lot of red herrings in the story and unraveling the truth along with Christa is exciting for the reader.
I am eagerly awaiting the next book in this series to find out what happens to Christa next and will Wyatt continue to be a force in her life.
Quick, fast paced read that had me up until very late /very early into the night/morning. I had to find out what happened to the other nanny and what other secrets were hidden. I like how L.G. Davis writes.
Thank You to NetGalley, Bookouture, and L.G. Davis for the opportunity to enjoy this ARC.
Heart pounding thriller that left me on the edge of my seat. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. Definitely one of the best books this year.
Such a page-turner! This was a quick and easy read, and it kept me guessing throughout. If you like Frieda McFadden’s books I definitely recommend picking this one up. I received this as an arc in exchange for an honest review, so thank you so much to Bookouture and L.G. Davis for the chance to read this nanny story early. But I want to know more about Christa and her backstory, so I can’t wait for the sequel to come out!!
A real page turner which had me flying through this book.
Red herrings galore!
This author just gets better and better.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.
A solid 5 stars from me.
I received an arc copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest opinion of it. I have ready many books by this author and I have loved them all, this one included. The story is told by two people and the timeline does go back and forth but it is really easy to follow. I love how this book had twists and so many unexpected surprises. Highly recommend
This gifted author has written a page turner. I could not stop reading. Red herrings kept me guessing. The main character thinks she has found her son. Chaos ensues in Austria. She has been hired to look after him and the home of his adoptive parents. This book was sent to me electronically by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher and the author. I really liked this story. It would make a great movie. I like this author.
Wow this book sucks you in and doesn’t spit you out until the very last page. I didn’t know who to trust and didn’t get the final twist until the end. It was fantastic and I can’t wait for the sequel!
Ok so I'm already a huge fan of L.G. Davis but this book is absolutely her BEST!! Wow! Sucks you in from the very first page, I truly could not put it down. I even had my kindle in the shower because I was so hooked! I love her writing style, loved the characters and the plot twist was literally jaw dropping!! 5 stars!
