BLOG TOUR REVIEW

Review for 'The Wife In The Photo' by Emily Shiner.

Read and reviewed for Bookouture, Bookouture Anonymous NetGalley, Emily Shiner and Bookouture Audiobooks.

Publication date 7th September 2023.

This is the fourth book I have read by this author. I have also read 'The Caretaker', 'You Can't Hide', 'Her Husband's Secret's and 'I'm Following You' which I would highly recommend.

This novel consists of a prologue and 56 chapters.. The chapters are short to medium in length so possible to read 'just one more chapter' before bed...OK, I know yeah right, but still just in case!

Emily does it yet again!! I genuinely don't think she can make a book that I don't love!! Love, love, loved this book!!!! Absolutely gripping edge of your seat page turner!!!

This book is extremely well written with vivid descriptions that really set the scene and put you in the storyline. The cover and synopsis suit the book perfectly.

The storyline was captivating and addictive from the first page until the last and I was completely invested in it. It was absolutely rammed full of lies, secrets, tension, twists, suspense and everything you could ask for in a page turning psychological thriller. I just could not stop listening to this absolutely addictive audiobook from the first word to the last. Emily's extremely talented and evocative skills along with Kate and Todd's incredible narratives really brought the book to life and I was completely absorbed throughout. I lost count of the amount of times I promised myself one more chapter but that one finished in a way I just HAD to know what would happen next so I said just more and this went on and on until I ended up finishing it in one sitting!!! It was absolutely ram packed with mystery, revenge, secrets, deceit, turns, mind blowing explosive twists, consequences, tension, suspense, and absolutely everything you could ask for in a psychological thriller. I absolutely love Emily's books and am guaranteed to be shocked every time I pick one up which is not an easy feat considering how many books I read a year so a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS Emily!!! One of the things I love about her books is that they can also be quite thought provoking and always end with MASSIVE BOMBSHELLS that I absolutely love and never do see coming. Emily's evocative writing drags you deep into the storyline from the first sentence to the very last and will keep you up until the very last word! THAT ladies and gentleman is a true sign of an absolute must read. I absolutely loved the ending which was definitely an unexpected twist which is just one of the reasons I love Emily's books, she manages to get me every single time!! I've said it before about Emily's books and I shall say it again!! I would absolutely LOVE to see this turned into a movie and would wait up all night to get tickets to watch it!!

I hope your busy writing your next book Emily as I just cannot wait to see what bombshell twist and explosive storyline you have up your sleeve for us next!!!!

This is one of the few books that I have listened to 100% on Audiobook. If I listen to a book on audiobook I usually also read the physical book between but for the second time I listened to the whole book and I was impressed! I must say a HUGE congratulations to the narrators Kate Handford and Todd Kramer who both did an amazing job bringing this story and the characters to life. I have previously listened to 'Best Friend's Forever' by Shannon Hollinger and 'Local Girl Missing' by Lisa Regan that were all also narrated by Kate Handford and I would highly recommend listening to or reading them all as it they re other fantastic page turners from other great authors!! I would listen to it in the car and while walking at any opportunity. I'm not only looking forward to reading more books by Emily but also to listening to more books narrated by both Kate and Todd!

Do not start this book until you have cleared your schedules as you will not be able to put it down!!

The characters were all realistic and strong and I was completely invested in them throughout. I love the fact that we got to see what was happening from the points of view from all of the three main characters Evan, Ariel and Jessica and to know why they were doing what they were and how they were feeling throughout. There are also chapters from Lola and Jessica's diaries which give an even larger picture of what is going on. Emily weaves all of the chapters and diary entries together with perfect timing until it all comes together with an explosive BANG!! It also explains absolutely everything which leaves no question unanswered at the end which is a pet hate of mine!! This also really helps the reader understand them more making them more realistic to the reader. My heart went out to Ariel who was just trying to work out what had really happened to Lola and what is going on behind the closed doors. All of the characters were multi layered with complex personalities which definitely made them all the more interesting to read about!!! Unfortunately, I really can not say anymore as I don't want to spoil it for future readers. I had no idea who to trust, what was really going on or where it was all leading which just goes to show what a talented author Emily is and I cannot wait to get hooked into her next psychological thriller 'The Hotel' You will just have to pick up your copy to find out who is right, who was wrong and what happens to them all and trust me you will not regret it!!! Regardless of what I thought about who, each character worked perfectly to make this page turning psychological thriller!!!

Congratulations Emily on yet ANOTHER huge success. This is why you are in my favourite 5 authors list!! Here's to your next success 🥂!!

Make sure you read to the very end of the book to read the prologue of Emily's ' The Hotel' which promises to be just as addictive as this book and is one I'm definitely looking forward to reading myself. Keep your eyes peeled for my review of it coming soon!!

Overall an absolutely unputdownable, action packed, intriguing psychological thriller that will keep you up at night on the edge of your seat with a pounding heart!!

296 pages/ 8 hours 23 minutes.

The opening chapter felt so creepy and sinister, poor Lola.
What I wanted to know is what on earth had happened to her ?.

Lola’s husband Evan and Daughter Jessica are adrift after her death, both lost and confused. So Evan hires a housekeeper to get things back to normal she’s called Ariel but what Even doesn’t know is that Ariel is here for one purpose only.

This was SO INTENSE, flipping between multiple points of view and Lola’s Diary,
I couldn’t take a breath at some points thinking anything could happen at any moment.

It had so many little twists,
I was absolutely shook at some of them, even though I guessed who the culprit was it didn’t take away from what an explosive book this was.

This was twisty and quite a tense read. A family with a teenage daughter having a bit more than the usual ups and downs. When Lola discovers that her husband is being unfaithful, she initially tries to work through the problem and Evan promises to stop the affair. He doesn’t. That eggs Lola to plan to leave him taking Jessica their daughter with her. She didn’t know that spelled doom for herself and she dies of a so called “accident”.

Fast forward, we have a housekeeper entering the scene and though Jessica initially angry, calms down somewhat though Evan is never quite at ease. Ariel came recommended through Miriam who has worked with Evan for years and is a dependable sort.

The machinations behind Ariel and Miriam come up midway in the story, as it is divided into chapters outlining all the main characters emotions and plans but it did not work out, quite the way anyone bought it would.

Each person wanted a different outcome - no one got that.

Very much a page turner.

This novel was a slow start but the intrigue was definitely there.

I loved the sneakiness of the characters and wanting to know more! Why do they act the way they do? Who are they? What’s their relevance to each other.

The way the characters somehow intertwined within each others lives was shocking you think everyone’s a stranger….. shock. You learn something new and everyone all of a sudden has a motive!!!

Secrets are kept. No one is innocent! But some are about to get hurt!!

Wow! Absolutely mind blowing edge of your seat suspense and tension. It's my first job as a housekeeper and I know that he murdered his wife, I need to protect there daughter. Omg the twists gave me whiplash and I was literally screaming at my kindle. There were so many unexpected twists that I had to reread a few sentences to make sure that I got it right. Utterly addictive I read it in one long sitting so make sure to clear your schedule before you start this page turning physcological thriller.

This family needs to move to a house without stairs. The story opens after the wife has fallen down the stairs and died. The husband and daughter are devastated but are also keeping a secret. I’ve read a few of Emily Shiner’s books and love her writing style. She keeps you guessing with all the secrets and twists. I enjoyed this book and the unexpected surprises. If you like thrillers that keep you guessing, you will want to check out this book!

The Wife In The Photo by Emily Shiner is an absolutely marvellous contemporary psychological thriller that had me hooked from the start.
I held on for dear life as the action twisted this way and that. I thought I had it all worked out – how wrong was I!
Our actions have consequences. We reap what we sow – or do we? Sometimes carefully laid plans come crashing down. Other times we might just get away with murder!
The Wife In The Photo is cleverly constructed and extremely well executed. The reader witnesses the murder in the opening scenes. The book is then written from before the murder and afterwards from several alternating points of view and also from diary entries.
Are monsters born? Or are they a product of their environment?
We witness just how far someone will go in order to protect their loved ones.
All the characters were well drawn and realistic. Not all were likable but my responses to the individuals were guided by the marvellous pen of the author. Emily Shiner drew me in and led me up and down the garden path, expertly manipulating my emotions.
The Wife In The Photo is a truly cracking read. It is suspenseful and deeply chilling. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a psychological thriller out of the top drawer. I look forward to much more from Emily Shiner.
I received a free copy from the publishers. A favourable review was not required. All opinions are my own.

Now this was a great thrill ride! The Wife in the Photo was my first Emily Shiner, and certainly won’t be the last!
Fans of domestic psychological thrillers, unite!

Lola has taken a tumble down the stairs and dead. Was it an accident? Or did someone push her. She left behind her cheating chief of police husband, Evan, and her teenage daughter, Jessica. Feeling like he can’t keep everything under control at the house, he hires a housekeeper. But is she really more than that? And if so, why is she REALLY there?

So many little twists throughout kept me guessing on where everyone was going to land (pun intended), and the ending left me speechless!

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Books like the wife in the photo by Emily Shriner are why I continue to get Emily Shriner books. This book is towed from three different points of view Evan the husband with the secret Lola‘s diary a woman who found out her husband was cheating an aerial a woman who comes to work for Evan but has ulterior motives. Evan is the chief of police and recently his wife died while falling down the stairs or at least that is a story he’s willing to tell you see Evan has a secret but because he also has a teenage daughter Jessica and a public profession he hast to maintain a certain image and if he secrets got out his image would be ruined. When he asked his secretary to help him find a maid to help around the house because since the death of Lola things have gotten out of hand she introduces him to a woman name Ariel throughout the book we learn how Ariel new Lola and why she is a hell bent on getting Evan arrested for Lola‘s murder or at least at first she is. We also get to see Lola‘s heartbreak at finding out Evan was cheating almost every other chapter is a chapter out of her diary and it really helps the rear get a hold on the whole situation. I find the authors books or more shit than Miss but sometimes she’ll write a book that I just don’t connect to at all but as for this one I absolutely love that this is the author at her best a truly twisty murderous thriller! she is definitely one of those riders who win at her best makes you feel as if you’re part of the story and your heartbeat rate is proof if you love a really really good thriller with awesome twist you will never see Carmen do you need to read the wife in the photo there is a book I highly recommend and thoroughly enjoyed. I want to thank Bookoucher a AnNet Galley for my free Ark copy please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

3.5 ⭐️

This is a quick paced thriller with a lot of twists and will keep you guessing and then second guessing your guesses 😂 did I guess who really killed Lola - yes, yes I did and pretty early on- did I constantly wonder about my choice of killer ? Yep 😂 there were also a few unexpected turns I definitely didn’t see coming !

What I didn’t love about the book was it was very repetitive at times - I know the POVs were often diaries etc but I found the same information / thought was repeated over and over again . Kinda like what I did here 😂

Fans of psychological thrillers, this is a book for you! When a mother, Lola, dies after a fall down the stairs, the reader is left guessing what really happened. Lola’s death leaves her husband and daughter alone, so they bring in help to manage the home. Of course, the woman hired to help is not what she seems!

This is a fast paced, twisty read all the way to the end! Even though I figured out one twist, the other caught me by surprise. Overall, a very fun read!

Full of suspense, this book will keep you turning pages! I didn’t like any of the characters, but I found myself cheering for a couple of them! This is a good book for people who enjoy big twists!

Holy whizz, what did I just read!? This was an adrenaline rush in the form of a book! This was such a fantastic and totally gripping book. I love Emily's books and this is easily a new fave of hers for me.

This book doesn't just start off with a bang, it starts off with a "thud." Lola is dead and immediately we're given some suspects. From the first few chapters it's clear that there's a large secret and while some will do anything to uncover it, there's someone who will do anything to keep it hidden.

Even though I was able to guess a few of the bigger plot twists, they were still fun and the small ones kept me on the edge of my seat. Shiner really brings to life just how far some are willing to go for family, and you have to wonder, where do you draw the line?

Lola is married to Evan Warner, the Chief of Police, and they are parents to young teenager, Jessica. Their marriage has been good until recently when Lola discovered he had been cheating on her. One day after a fierce argument, Lola steps outside on her porch. Evan follows and she ends up slipping off the porch, falling and breaking her neck.

Now, Evan and Jessica are struggling with Lola's death and trying to keep up with the house and other chores. When Evan asks his assistant if she knows of a housekeeper he can hire, she soon comes up with someone named Ariel. When Evan interviews her, he is impressed and she quickly gets the house, laundry, shopping, and cooking well in hand.

But Ariel is hiding a secret from Evan and she is there for a bigger reason than to be their housekeeper. Evan shows he has a temper and that worries Ariel not only for herself but for Jessica who is grieving for her mother.

This book is a complete edge-of-the-seat read. The author made us hold our breath waiting for what was to come next and dreading it as well. It’s tense, scary, compelling and very well-written. Whew! Enjoy!

"I hate him because of what he did to my family; she hates him because of what he might do to hers”
...

Wow! This one takes the domestic thriller to a whole new level and even now, some days after finishing the book, I'm still not really sure what to make of it! Let me see if I can explain this convoluted plot, without giving away too many spoilers.
...

Evan Warner, his wife Lola and daughter Jessica, live in heartland Virginia. He works in law enforcement, having worked his way up from street cop to become Chief, where he now has a desk job dealing mostly with internal affairs, although his meteoric promotion had caused controversy amongst his peers, who had never considered him to be a good officer, with his promotion, in their opinion, a sideways move, rather than the outright dismissal he deserved. His right-hand woman is Miriam, middle-aged, dependable, highly efficient and who knows almost more about Evan than he knows about himself, definitely much more than he would like her to know, it transpires.

Lola had recently died in a tragic accident, leaving a stunned Evan and his distraught teenaged daughter Jessica, all at sea and unsure how to carry on with life. Neither of them are coping well with the day to day functions of sharing a home together and the regular chores that entails, and as communication between them is almost non-existent and barely civil, it is hard to see where they go from here. Miriam suggests that a housekeeper might be the way forward short-term, so with Evan's approval she sets off on a recruitment drive for just the right person, which she manages very conveniently to achieve within hours.

Ariel seems like the answer to Evan's prayers, even though Jessica is overtly rude to her and defiantly refuses to accept that she isn't there simply to replace her mother. So, at his wits end and with nothing more than Miriam's recommendation, Evan hires Ariel without a second thought. For the first couple of days, everything appears to be going well, with Ariel managing to restore a functioning household in double quick time. She even seems to be making progress with Jessica, although that is going to be much slower going, as she needs to be coaxed back into some semblance of normality almost every step of the way, especially as she is being influenced by a 'friend' she would be doing much better without.

It is only now, when both Evan and Jessica realise the benefits of having Ariel running the household, that the lady in question begins to let her guard down and little by little her real reasons for accepting a position in the Warner household becomes clear to the reader. A professional housekeeper she most definitely is not! Now, a deadly game of cat and mouse begins, as first Evan and then Jessica, begin to suspect that the person they have trusted and let into their home, is not there solely with their best interests at heart, or at least not for one of them. They begin to observe her closely and question her every move, although their motives for doing so may not be the same.

Eventually, when it is obvious that Ariel is getting a bit too close to the truth for comfort, Evan decides to dispense with her services, but the lady herself has other ideas and has made a copy of the Warner house keys. Letting herself into the property when Evan is at work and Jessica at school, Ariel's search for evidence, whilst fruitful, highly emotional and conclusive of wrongdoing, comes at a higher price than she could ever have imagined, not only for herself, but for those who had sought to help her unravel the mystery of Lola's untimely demise.

The thing to remember, is that in this story, no one is innocent and it is definitely not all over until 'the fat lady sings' as the saying goes! So make sure you keep reading right to the very last page.
...

Why so difficult to write a review for this book? Well, the story only has a handful of characters, ninety percent of the action takes place inside one house, and I have to be honest when I say that I did need to suspend belief a little at one point (can't say why, but you'll discover it easily for yourself). Despite all that, this was a real edge-of-the-seat thriller, where I always knew something much worse than the gruesome event which kicks off the opening chapter was going to happen, but I wasn't sure what, when, by who, or to whom! In other words - I never had a clue about the eventual outcome and there wasn't a single moment where I felt at ease whilst I was reading!

This intense, highly textured, multi-layered storyline, might have been a little too over-thought, as there were so many twists and turns, especially in the latter third of the book, that the cast of characters seemed to be falling over one another in their haste to throw one more spanner in the works before any kind of closure on events could be achieved. Fortunately, the chapters were short, well-signposted and very punchy, which is just as well, because it would have been easy to become confused otherwise. The main body of the story was narrated in dual perspectives by Ariel and Evan, as a chronological diary of dates covering a period of about one month, beginning approximately two weeks after Lola's death. There were also interspersed extracts from Lola's and Jessica's personal diaries, again narrated in their own voices, with Lola telling of events over the course of the month leading up to her death, whilst Jessica's began at the time of her mother's 'accident' and ran concurrently with those of the principal chapters. Sounds confusing, but it really isn't when you are immersed in reading, it's actually very well structured and dovetailed together.

Woven into the storyline, there was also quite a raft of societal issues, with either one or more of them being relevant to almost every character. Self-harming with the motive of incriminating someone else; drug abuse; alcohol abuse; extra marital affairs; forced adoption; coercion and psychosis. This is a story where absolutely everyone had secrets, some worse than others certainly, but all equally damaging nonetheless, to either themselves or others. With only five principal characters and detective Mike Maroni, who had been liaising with Evan and Jessica during the investigation into Lola's death, you can see how dark, depressing and morbid the atmosphere surrounding the Warner household seemed. However well drawn and compulsive this small collection of complex, manipulative humanity was, their disturbing and overwhelmingly dour, inanimate and lugubrious demeanour was constant, like wading through a field of treacle and never being able to make forward progress. They were definitely not in the least bit authentic, with little or no synergy between them, making them totally unreliable and unrelatable for me, which is just as author Emily Shiner intended I am sure.

As not only an avid reader, but also a confirmed 'armchair traveller', I admit to feeling just a little miffed that I read this entire book with only one single mention of a location, blink and I might have missed it! Even then, it might have been any street, in any town or city, so vague were any reference points. However, this was a story all about the plot and characters, which could easily have been set in any neighbourhood, in any country, with potentially the same outcomes, so I'm not going to get too hung up about it.

When I finished reading, I was still none too sure about the title of book, as I failed to grasp the significance of it in relation to the overall storyline. The cover also didn't resonate well with me either, as it didn't really depict the style of house the narrative would have us believe the Warner family lived in, it was all in the detail!

'The Wife In The Photo' asks how far we will go for love, and what happens when we reach our limit?

Now I know what I can expect from this author, I have no hesitation in looking forward to reading a second book by her, which I have lined up on my Kindle.

I recently delved into this captivating book to discover that it was brimming with drama and suspense. The author's writing was truly impressive, and I found myself completely engrossed in the story. The plot was centred around lies and deceit, which kept me on the edge of my seat with unexpected twists and turns, unsure who to trust.

The characters were intriguing, and the author, Shiner, did an excellent job of bringing them to life by presenting multiple points of view throughout the book. This added to the entertainment value and made the story even more enjoyable.

While there were a few chapters that I personally found to be a bit slow, overall, I believe that this book would make a top-class read for fans of the thriller genre. Shiner's writing style is captivating and engaging, and I am eager to explore more of her works in the future.

All in all, I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a thrilling and suspenseful read.

The Wife in the Photo
By Emily Shiner
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Struggling to care for his home and teenage daughter after the tragic death of his wife, Chief of Police Evan Warner decides to hire a housekeeper.

Ariel is an eager and efficient employee who seems to be the solution to all of Evan’s problems. But do her interests in their family go deeper than cleaning the baseboards?

💭 This thriller was a crazed tangle of multiple perspectives, before and after timelines, and lots of unreliable narrators.

Sadly, the characters in this character-driven story all fell a bit flat. And while we see the story from each of their perspectives, we can’t trust a damn thing they say!

Twist predictions: Some I guessed, others surprised me in a good way 👏 I enjoyed the suspense and build up to the final scene - YIKES!

LOG TOUR HOST Sept 7th!

The queen of revenge plots, Emily Shiner (favorite author), returns following Her Husband's Secret and You Can't Hide with THE WIFE IN THE PHOTO —another clever diabolical cat-and-mouse thriller—but which character is the cat, and which character is the mouse?

Like a tennis match back and forth, your loyalties will change. Predator or prey? Trust no one! With a cast of unreliable narrators, be prepared for the unexpected and sharp turns and twists to the wicked conclusion.

A woman sets off on an obsessive path to justice, no matter what dark family secrets are revealed. She doesn't know she isn't the only one plotting her REVENGE! No one (and I mean no one) is what they seem. The fates of all the players twist and turn until the shocking truth emerges: You can't always get what you want. But sometimes, you get what you deserve.

Meet the Warners:
LOLA WARNER always wanted a home that looked like something from a storybook. A white picket fence. Lola wanted. Lola got. For a while, anyway. How many secrets can be hidden behind the flawless front door? Then, one day, out on the deck, a person is coming towards Lola. It is fast. She is on the edge. Her foot slips. She falls. She looks peaceful. However, she is DEAD. Who is the person at the top of the stairs?

What an opening!

Told from POVs.

EVAN:
Evan is a chief detective, the husband of Lola, and the father of teen Jessica. People have been coming by to babysit him since the funeral. He drinks more and needs help around the house and someone to help with Jessica. However, he needs to be careful. He must ensure he does not slip up and tell anyone the truth. He will hire a housekeeper. She cannot be young or good-looking as the neighbors may talk. His relationship with his daughter is strained. She stays in her room. They barely communicate.

ARIEL:
Ariel Anders is a stalker. She has been watching, waiting, and keeping tabs on Evan and Jessica. Lola deserves more. She must keep Jessica safe from Evan. It is time to put her plan into action. All the pieces are in place, and she is ready. Lola would want her to protect Jessica.

LOLA'S DIARY:
Readers get snippets from Lola's diary leading up to her death. She thinks Evan is disconnected. He seems distant and silent. He comes home late and gets in the shower. (yep). She needs to get his phone when he is not looking to check it. But oh no, he has changed his password. (not good) Is Evan finding comfort somewhere else? If he is having an affair (you bet). She thinks they can get through it. She wants to fix things, but does Evan? Then she finds the letter. She will ask him about the letter when he is not drinking. When she is sure, she will be safe. Of course, he denied it. He must end the affair, or she will end the marriage.

Miriam is Evan's assistant. A grandmotherly type. He will ask her if she knows anyone interested in a housekeeper position. A cook. A cleaner. Run errands—someone to come into the house and improve Evan's life.

Miriam knows Aerial. Upon her recommendation, Aerial gets the job as a housekeeper. She is not pretty or striking, so she will be PERFECT, Evan thinks. Aerial would like to move in and live there instead of her car, but Evans says it is not a live-in position. (darn) She will take what she can get. She needs to snoop. She will improve Evan and Jessica's house and then RUIN him.

Aerial knows the truth will come out, and it could get ugly when it does. She needs to make sure Jessica trusts her.

JESSICA's DIARY:
Jessica is a wild card. She and her father do not seem to get along. Aerial wants her to open up to her. Jessica is not happy her dad hired a housekeeper.

Evan is happy with Aerial's work. She is a great cook and housecleaner. All seems to be working until he notices his bedroom door is cracked. He tells her his bedroom is OFF LIMITS. That makes her want to snoop even more. (right?) What is he hiding? She thinks he murdered his wife. She must dig through photos, papers, life insurance policies, anything—to find something to incriminate him.

She plans to get rid of Evan and help Jessica. However, nothing is as it appears. Was Evan having an affair? With whom? What is he hiding? Everyone has SECRETS! Maybe Lola had a diary that Aerial needed to find. She thinks this house is evil. She finds a gun, but he is a cop.

Jessica could be in grave danger from her father. She seems to be acting out, smoking weed, being manipulative, and being disrespectful—poor thing. Aerial is sure Jessica has more secrets, and she must learn them all. But Evan does not trust Aerial so she may lose her job and her opportunity to gather info.

However, there may be MORE than ONE person plotting REVENGE! After all, accidents tend to happen. Who knows how to play the game? Who is using whom? Who will outsmart the other?

DYNAMITE! Devilishly clever, Emily Shiner ratchets up the suspense and misdirection with this twisty, thrilling game of cat-and-mouse and house of smoke and mirrors that will have you guessing, second-guessing, and then gasping with surprise.

THE WIFE IN THE PHOTO is a magnificent, intricately plotted psychological thriller that will have you questioning everyone’s motives until the stunning ending—a must-read for thriller lovers.

The twist-filled plot fearlessly delves into the depths of revenge, obsession, and family secrets with a final knife twist—be prepared for a 360-degree head spin. For fans of authors Freida McFadden and Miranda Rijks. Be sure to check out Emily's backlist and stay tuned for The Hotel! (Blog tour Sept 8th)

Get this one on your list! I read the e-book and listened to the audiobook narrated by Kate Handford and Todd Kramer for a highly entertaining performance and listening experience.
