This was a really interesting book based on for women who are trying to take down this empire, and it’s a new adult romance, and I think generally the characters were very understanding although sometimes they could’ve done actions better than what they did. I understood why they did things and the writing style was easy to understand it was fun to read. It was fast paced, and I didn’t feel like it was 360 pages. I will be reading more from this author in the future, especially as I didn’t really like this book.

This is the story of four women who make a pact to create a criminal empire. Good and Evil, wrong from right are not implied. It is fascinating and enthralling to see what these women can do without any limits. A fantastic new series from a new author for me. Can't wait to see what's next with these lovely ladies....

I absolutely loved this book. Very well written and the characters were intriguing. The storyline was well weaved together- if you love a dark romance, you will love this!!

Four strong and unique main character women who almost never talk about boys was beyond refreshing and add in that they are all working towards an illegal empire and you've got me. My biggest complaint was that every character had three completely unique names that were used sometimes but then switch so it was hard to follow. Did I mention that this book breaks the fourth wall and talks to the reader?!? Because it does and I loved it. Trigger warnings but still would recommend. Be ready to nothing to be solved or resolved and to need the next 4 books right away!

This was a fantastic book All the characters spot on I can’t wait for more 10/10 recommend I loved how the author wrote this story so different from what I’m use to it was a pleasantly refreshing

Easy 4.5! The complexity and depth of this book is spectacular. It flips between the POV of 6 characters, and despite this, you somehow get to know each and every one so thoroughly. There's crime, spice and these little emotional moments that leave you wanting more. I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

The concept of this book drew me in from the first line of the synapsis and it truly delivered what it presents itself as. A story about ambition, power, and love that follows four friends who are closer than sisters.

"Friendships can sometimes be as strong as family ties."

All of the main characters were presented with such depth and their own individual story that it is hard not to be intrigued by them and the games of ambition and power they are playing, all in their own styles. I was very confused at first, especially when it came to characters, as the POV shifts quite frequently and it's hard to keep track of everyone on top of the several nicknames each one possesses. However, the more you read the more you understand and you adapt fairly quickly. This is very much a character driven story and acts as an introduction to the characters we will follow in the sequels.

The author truly thought out this world she is building and I think this book creates a solid foundation for the rest of the series. I have a feeling each book will be better than the last.

Wow!! I was completely captivated from the beginning and couldn't put the book down and was sad I had to say goodbye to my book friends when I got to the end. The author kept me on the edge of my seat through the twists and turns, ups and downs and incredible romance.
