Pardon me while I finish fan girling over the newest from my favorite author ever!!! To review this one, I truly cannot say much because it would be a spoiler for all those dedicated readers out there who are wondering just WHO is the WARRIOR in this book. All I can say is that even though the story was very different than I expected, I am 100% satisfied with the entire thing. I absolutely cannot wait to dive back into the Realm. Please, Mrs. Zanetti, give us MORE!
Warrior’s Hope does not disappoint. From the first page to the very last, Rebecca Zanetti keeps us tied to our seats and immersed in this standalone PNR tale. While the saga of the Seven concludes, there is so much room to continue on with the Dark Protectors. And the new generation, damn! They are just as hot, wicked and feisty as their ancestors. I loved every moment of this story so much!!!
Exciting finale to series! This was a non-stop action finale involving Hope, Paxton and Drake. Hope has always felt it was her destiny to bring peace whenever she could. She feels she can bring peace between the Realm and Kurjan nation. She's also felt a connection with Paxton. Hope just doesn't know how it's going to end. She thinks she has to mate with Drake in order to bring peace but her feelings are with Paxton. The three have known each other since childhood. This was a fantastic book that I didn't want to put down. I have a book ordered. I received an early copy from Netgalley to read and give my honest review. I'm leaving my honest review.
This book was so good. I think I missed a book in the series, but it didn't stop me from really enjoying this one. Hope is an adult now and she has just discovered Paxton is a traitor, but is he? She is very confused about what she has learned. Drake is still buttering her up but she trusts him - Paxton does not at all. It gets proved later in the book that Pax was right and Drake is not to be trusted. He tried to force her to mate and will kill Pax and Hunter if she doesn't. She gets out of it barely and then they have to figure out how to finally kill Ulric. But how they have to do it is very gruesome. I thinks it's hilarious how Pax is laughed at by Hope's father when he finds out his new role in life. This was a good story and I wll probably go back to the beginning and read them all
I got this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review
Bravo Rebecca.
The magic of the Dark Protectors just keeps getting better and better.
From Fated to Warriors Hope and everything in between, the stories are suspenseful ,sensuous and full of surprises.
Much like Marked, we had Janie, Kalin and Zane trying to save the world.
Now we have Hope, Pax and Drake in Warriors Hope doing the same thing but in their own way with a band of new Protectors.
We get to see the children of our favorite Protectors come into their own and the possibilities of new stories are endless.
And for this reader, that is the best news ever.
This was sooo gooood!!!!!! I would have loved seeing the seven interact together more, but other than that, it was a perfect ending to their storyline. Their were tons of twists and turns and revelations that you didn't see coming. It was also so good to see Hope get her guy. I'm excited to see what will come next in this universe.
Warrior’s Hope is the culmination of an ongoing story arc encompassing many, many books in the Dark Protectors series. But even with book 16, Rebecca Zanetti manages to add in surprise plot twists and create a satisfying conclusion to a few long running mysteries.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood has always known her fate is tied to the fate of the Realm and everyone she cares about. Not only is she the only female vampire in existence, she’s also the Lock, and a vital component in the ritual of the Seven, which will rid the world of evil Kurjan Ulric once and for all. Got that? She’s also always been torn between her childhood bestie Paxton, a demon hybrid, and Drake, the future Kurjan ruler and current enemy of the Realm who she meets in dreamworlds. As Ulric grows more powerful and his immediate demise more important, can Hope follow her fated path and live happily ever after with her mate too?
Look, I usually hate a love triangle, but this one has been teased so well for so long that I couldn’t help but buy into Hope’s dilemma between fate, duty and love. To say anything more about her decision might spoil parts of the plot, and it’s best to go in blind. That said, I guessed correctly, although I was wrong about the steps Hope took to get there. And, the chemistry between her and her mate sizzles once they finally get together.
This book begins with reviewing the elaborate backstory for the reader, but it is not a standalone. If diving into such a long series feels too daunting, readers can start with Vampire’s Faith, which is where story of the Seven begins. If you love paranormal suspense, with alpha males, strong women and intricate plots, you’ll enjoy this entire series.
I loved Warrior’s Hope. Rebecca Zanetti delivers a satisfying conclusion to long-running plots while leaving the door open for future books. I, for one, can’t wait to read more.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Wow!
Of all my preconceived notions, expectations and hopes I had for this book, they were completely obliterated! I had my mind blown so many times during the story. I felt bemused, bewildered, betrayed, befuddled and bedazzled!
So many secrets revealed! So much action! So many WTF moments! I could not believe everything that happened! Clear your calendar and your day so you have uninterrupted reading time. You’re not going to want to miss a single moment of this fast-paced, emotionally draining, wild ride!
Warrior’s Hope is the conclusion to The Seven story arc, but leaves lots of open questions which welcome a new arc for the Dark Protectors series. I’m looking forward to this new journey! Let’s Go!!!!
I've been waiting for Hope's story for so very long. We, faithful readers, have watched her grow up and enjoyed the journey. Paxton captured my heart so early on because he needed the compassion and protection that Zane and his entire family gave him readily. I rooted for Paxton and was frustrated with Hope's sense of self-sacrifice and duty. Seldom have I finished a book and felt like I immediately wanted to read it again but that was the case with this one. There was so much actual romance and giving of one's heart that it inspired tears. I joyfully read this book on Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Going into this read I had it in my head that I knew which way this book would go. I was so damn wrong. I should have known Rebecca Zanetti would rock my world. As I plan to keep this review spoiler free I'm having a hard time putting my thoughts to words, but Imma try. Let me start by saying I loved this book. It was everything I hoped for and more.
Having read about Hope, Drake and Pax growing up through the series I kind of had an idea of the adults they would become, but RZ dug deep and really developed their character. Especially Pax and Drake. I had my thoughts on which male Hope would end up mated to. Of course I can't say because spoiler free....but I will say that the romance was steamy, the sexual tension was off the charts and Hope made the right choice in my opinion.
I loved getting to see my favorites Talen, Dage, Zane etc. We meet some of the original couples adult kids in this book. Which gave me all the feels. I really hope RZ gives us the Kids' love stories. I really need them in my life. Just sayin'. There was some fast pace action in this book. Lots of twist and turns I didn't see coming. There was also a lot of answers to questions I have had since book 1. Ulric was as creepy and evil as ever. I didn't know how he was going to be handled but RZ really delivered the goods on that epic battle. I was really surprised with the Vero story. I loved seeing how brave and strong Hope was and I loved that her family didn't baby her, but treated her with respect. I will say I have a few more questions now that this book/series is over. I really REALLY really hope RZ does a spin off series with the couples kids or continues with this series. I am not ready to say goodbye.
Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood has long had a heavy burden placed on her shoulders as the “Lock” who plays an important role in deciding the fate of her extended immortal family. She has always known her fated destiny would involve a choice between two boys who are now men: Paxton, her childhood companion, and Drake, whom Hope has only really known through a dream world. Paxton Phoenix has more than a few secrets he had kept from Hope while Drake is now leader of her families’ ultimate enemies, the Kurjans, whose wackjob, seriously evil spiritual leader, Ulric, has finally returned to the world from his prison in another dimension.
Now at age twenty-four, Hope is a fully functioning member of the Realm forces although she appears to be more vulnerable than most because her human traits hold sway over the immortal ones though she is the only female vampire ever born. Working against each other in opposition, Paxton and Drake are determined that Hope is a fated mate for one of them while she knows not only will she make a choice between the two, but it may require an ultimate personal sacrifice.
Readers of the series know that this war with the Kurjans has been coming a long time so that Hope, her family members who are kings of their supernatural nations, and all the other supernatural group allies will face the ultimate conflict with the Kurjans and their priest class, the Cyst. The outcome will decide who rules them all when the battles are done. The Seven also appear of course since their ultimate goal as a faction is defeating Ulric whose nefarious plans are causing trouble all over the world kidnapping women known as Enhanced, who can become immortals’ mates.
Many elements come together in this book to bring prophecy into reality while much of the responsibility and ultimate end rests on Hope, Pax, and Drake. Fans will be well pleased with the conclusion of this series as Ms. Zanetti does a fine job of making it all work together. There are plenty of thrills, chills, and bloody battles and, as always, a love story along with some quite unexpected surprises that will keep readers fascinated and just a little afraid to see how it all plays out. When a long running series comes to an end, it is a bittersweet moment bringing a variety of emotions about the winners and losers both, but ultimately, this final book is a very well done and satisfying read.
The intensity of the story, the emotional interactions of the characters, the descriptions of the settings all make you feel you are actually part of the story. The next book in the series is one I will wait impatiently to read.
A big thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books/Lyrical Press for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the finale in a series, I believe that this is book 16!! I have read most of the series, and to be honest, I still get overwhelmed a bit with the names. So if this is your first read in the series-please stop! It will be much more enjoyable if you read a few of the others first. Not to say that it can not be done, but you may get frustrated. There are alot of names, friend and foe. This is a great end to the series. It has some twists and turns and full of surprises. Fun to read, and I am sad the series is done. Maybe there will be a peaceful story in the future. I would highly recommend this to paranormal romance readers. 4.5 stars
Warrior’s Hope by Rebecca Zanetti
The most recent novel in the Dark Protector’s series. I am a long time fan of the series and a fan of all of Ms. Zanetti’s series. That said, I approached this story with hesitation.
In previous novels in this series we get to know Hope as she grows and hits her teen years and we see the situation develop between the two opposing male characters. Through all those previous snippets I wasn’t a fan of any of them.
This book starts with a bang. Straight away we get Paxton’s involvement/betrayals. His reasoning for it and Hope’s easy forgiveness and trust doesn’t set well for me personally. The naïveté and lack of logic for both of them just doesn’t work since they’re both supposedly such huge planners and strategists. Then, I have to remind myself how young they are and how it’s always harder to see the obvious when emotionally invested. After all we all wanted to save the world when we were in our 20’s and thought we were invincible and could figure it out by ourselves. I think about 1/3 of the way into the story Janie, Hope’s mom, actually says something like that to Hope.
The story progresses quickly and actively in typical Zanetti fashion. Lots of action and drama with lots of twists and turns. Great story and surprising ending for Paxton and on Ulric’s ultimate take-down.
Here’s hoping Dark Protectors series continues.
The first six books in the third story arc of Rebecca Zanetti's Dark Protectors series were simply foreplay for the series finale, 'Warrior's Hope'. Everything that came before was simply leading us to the hot and steamy story I always knew I needed and wanted from Hope and Paxton. There is absolutely nothing that Zanetti can't tackle with her writing. I love everything she has ever written and have been a fan of the Dark Protectors series since day one. Her ability to develop unique worlds, interesting storylines, and amazing characters with every new book blows my mind every time I pick up her books.
Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood is the only female ever born a Vampire. The one problem she seems to be experiencing is that she is closing in on age twenty-five and still has none of the powers or benefits of being a Vampire. With three of her cousins and her best friend she leads one the Realms elite team of warriors. She is also known as the 'lock', the final piece to the puzzle in the Seven's plan to kill an important member of the Kurjan nation. Hope believes her role is to bring peace between the Realm, the Demon Nation, and the Kurjans, no matter the price she has to pay to achieve that goal.
Paxton Phoenix has had a difficult life. When he was a young child his father would beat and abuse him mercilessly. If it wasn't for his best friends, Hope and Libbie, he might not have survived the brutality. Pax would do anything for Hope, including protecting herself from her own delusions regarding negotiating peace with the leader of the Kurjan nation. Paxton has loved Hope since the day he met her and he refuses to allow her to sacrifice herself.
Through each of the books the I have had the opportunity to watch Hope and Paxton grow and eventually develop into the adults they become. It was amazing to finally read their story and know the conclusion to the Seven's plans. Another amazing story from Rebecca Zanetti. I recommend 100%!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Ms. Zanetti has done it again. We pick up where we left off. Hope is grown as are Drake and Pax. Some of the favorites show up as some new characters who I hope we learn more about in future books.
Though this book is a part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. However, the entire series is worth reading. There are many twists and turns in this book. Plenty of action as well as big surprises. I can't say more without giving toouch away. I devoured this book and will reread it many times over.
Rebecca Zanetti, you have filled my heart full of happiness and my head full of exhilaration! I’m afraid that my words are inadequate to capture my awe of your ability to create emotion, suspense, and thrill. So grateful that your own words never fail. Warrior’s Hope is a masterpiece!
Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood is a first daughter of both the Vampire and Demon nations. Decades of detente with their historic enemy, the Kurjans, is about to devolve into war, unless a deal can be struck that will safeguard enhanced women from being kidnapped and harmed by the Kurjans and their spiritual leader, Ulric. Like the rest of the ruling immortals, Hope is trained for battle, amongst the first to fight and perhaps, the first to fall. But despite being the only vampire princess in existence, Hope has yet to manifest many of her families’ immortal powers. Will her sexy childhood friend, Pax, be there to help her figure it out? Or will she be forced into a compromise with Drake, the Kurjan leader, that will be more than her family is willing to bear?
Whether you have been following the Dark Protectors since Hope’s grandparents met in Fated (Book 1) or jumped in when The Seven realized the threat of Ulric returning to our world in Vampire’s Faith (Book 8), Warrior’s Hope (Book 16) is targeted for Dark Protectors fans. It’s not a standalone! Despite being well-versed in this author’s cleverness, she still managed to shock and surprise me. All the elements that I needed for this to be another 5 star read were present in spades. Hope and her team bring the action and camaraderie. There’s depth, and layers, and nostalgia. I was giddy every time a familiar name appeared on the page. And the steam! Ms. Zanetti brings the heat once again and I loved every moment of it.
Label me one very satisfied customer. If this was a 5 star restaurant, I’d be (discreetly) licking my plate, overtipping, and making another reservation on the way out. With this story arc coming to a close, dare I hope that there will be more Dark Protectors in my future?
My thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to review this ARC.
OK I just love this book, if i didnt have to work, i would of never put it down.
And HELLO Paxton, where did this new you come from. I loved the alpha male in him.
Hope was still set on the course that she always thought she was destined to fulfill, but then things turned out not the way she expected.
There was all of the romance, the alpha males and the fighting that you associate with this series, and it never lets you down.
Rebecca Zanetti has another hit with this latest Dark Protectors book.
Looking forward to the next one
Oh. My. God. Rebecca Zanetti is a genius. I just finished reading the final installment of the Seven story arc, Warrior’s Hope. Just as Janie and Zane wrapped up the original story arc, now Hope must do the same. She’s a peripheral, a Lock, a strategic mastermind, and yet it all comes down to one decision. How can she choose? Even more, how can she not? This one will draw you in from the first chapter, keep you reeling as secrets come out on both sides, and ultimately leave you hanging on the edge of your seat until the end. I literally couldn’t put it down. I woke up this morning with book in hand and light still on because I couldn’t force myself to put it down last night until apparently my body said you have to sleep. Finished it first thing this morning and I’m telling you now, go order it. Start now to catch up if you haven’t read the rest of the series but don’t wait. Because you don’t want to miss this one. Absolute chefs kiss!
