Finally we get the epic conclusion to the love triangle between Hope, Drake and Pax. . We have followed these characters since they were children and they all have stayed true to who they are and who they want to be bHope ended up with the male who was always her destiny. I loved seeing all of my old favorites , Dage, Talen, Zane and Garrett. As well as some of my new Vero, Hunter, Libby and a lot of Hope’s other cousins. This series kept me always wanting more from these characters, who are truly a strong, fierce family. In the end, they finally take Ulric down with help from the Seven.( although I wish there was more of them in this book) I will miss this series, one of the best I have read. However I just hope that there is more to come.
This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was steamy, fast-paced and kept me reading to find out what was going to happen. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books by this author.
In the conclusive book of the DARK PROTECTORS series, it's finally the turn for the heroine's happy ending. In this case, leading a small group of warriors against those who are intent in destroying the world. There are two men linked with the heroine in vastly different ways. Yet the heroine must choose the one who will bring peace to the world and be the partner that she rightly deserves in the battle against evil.
This is a highly anticipated book in this Rebecca Zanetti paranormal romance series. The three main characters had grown up throughout the series after their first introduction. Each are uniquely different and shows growth in various ways in this series. Though the book provided enough information about the overall series plot, for a whole image of the main characters, the series should be read in order and/or at least in the books that they make appearances in. The book does have some memorable secondary characters that makes the story better, especially the heroine's father with his protective instincts. This is an enjoyable read with action, suspense, and romance mixed together in a supernatural setting, though I would have liked some more details in certain areas of the book. Overall, a satisfying conclusion to the DARK PROTECTORS series and I look forward to reading more books from the author in the future.
** Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the review copy. All opinions and thoughts in the review are my own. **
A great conclusion to the second arc of the Dark Protectors series! We have been watching Hope grow up since Marked and waiting to see what her fate will be. Will she end up with Drake the Kurjan leader she has been meeting in her dreams since she was a child, or will she end up with Paxton, her childhood friend? There were several twists and turns in this story that I was not expecting. We get to see some more of previous characters (ex. her parents Janie and Zane), but also some new characters that I hope to see in future stories.
I definitely recommend this book but do think you need to read the some of the previous books first. If not from the first book (Fated), at least from the start of the second arc (Vampire's Faith). This book is a conclusion of a conflict that started in Vampire's Faith which is why I recommend reading the previous books first. Thank you Netgalley, Kensington, and Lyrical Press for providing me this story in exchange of an honest review.
Warrior’s Hope by Rebecca Zanetti
Dark Protectors series #16. Conclusion of the second arc between Vampire’s Faith this book. Best read as part of the series in order. Paranormal romance.
Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood has always known that she is the key to a specific destiny. As a prophet, she believes her job is to somehow bring the two nations together. Her choice is between duty and love, peace and war, with the fate of everyone she loves hanging in the balance.
Drake is the leader of the Kurjan nation. Hope and Drake have known each other since they were children when Hope was able to create a dream world. He believes that taking Hope as a mate will be the ultimate win for their collective future.
Paxton has been Hope’s best friend and protector their whole lives. He will kill and die for her without a second thought. It’s his path.
It’s time for Hope to make life altering choices. Can she love one or the other exclusively or can sh bring the warring nations together in peace?
It’s time. Hope feels she must be the link to bring everyone together for the future.
She’s the only female vampire ever born. Her bloodline includes demon, vampire, witch and has yet to manifest any powers. She might just have to face the fact that she’s more human than anything else.
Hope is caught in the middle between duty and love. Can she turn duty into love? For the good of the Realm and Kurjan nations?
My heart has been bleeding for Hope for years. I was always silently hoping she wouldn’t have to make a choice.
Pax is so loyal and protective. And hot! He will do anything for Hope. Beat him up and put him in a cell and his thoughts are “is Hope ok? Did she get a warmer coat? Did someone heal her arm and take her pain away?”
I admit the fighting/battle was sometimes a bit too much for me.
The drama, and choices, and love were explosive and satisfying. And so heart-clenching!
I wasn’t sure what to expect in the conclusion but it doesn’t disappoint in the least.
Loved this so much. All the stars.
I received a copy of this from NetGalley. I’ve also bought multiple copies to share and all formats to keep.
I squealed with delight as I finally got my hands on Hope’s story in Warrior’s Hope. This book is part of the series and should be read as such. Having read about Hope growing up throughout the Dark Protector series, I was excited to see Hope finally choose between Paxton and Drake and fate play out. The author threw in some good curveballs to blindside the reader but Hope’s story was just as satisfying as I thought it would be for a sigh worthy HEA. Warrior’s Hope is a book for the to be savored shelf and will be reread again and again. My voluntary, unbiased review is based upon a review copy from NetGalley.
This is book 16 in the Dark Protector's series, and I would absolutely read the previous books (or at least the books in this specific larger story ARC) before reading this book or you may be lost on some things. As the only female vampire ever born, and the heir to two powerful immortal families, Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood has always felt the weight of fate and destiny. Now her heart is torn between two men and two different futures. It’s a choice between duty and love, peace and war, with the fate of everyone she loves hanging in the balance. As the leader of the Kurjan nation, Drake has always known that mating Hope is the best path to avoiding war. He’s counting on her to know the same. . . . Paxton has been Hope’s best friend and protector since they were children. He would kill and die for her without a second thought. In fact, he’s always known that would be his path. With deadly factions at her heels, Hope must decide whom to trust and where her loyalty lies—before the choice is taken away from her.
I have been impatient for Hope's story for so very long. And this story in no way disappoints! For anyone who has been reading this series, you will love her story! We all knew she was going to have to make a choice, even though we really didn't want her to have to. But I did NOT see the outcome coming! But, honestly, it makes so much sense and was the perfect way for it all to come together. I don't want to say a lot because I honestly don't want to spoil it for anyone, and it would be so easy to say something I don't think is a spoiler, but it could be. Just know that it is a great read as per usual with this author. And it was great seeing it all come together and play out the way it does!
I've been reading this series since the very beginning so I know all of the characters that show up in this book and there are a lot of them. So for that reason I would say it's better to read this series from the beginning so you know what's going on with this story.
Hope, Paxton and Drake have known each other for years, since they were kids. Drake is now the leader of the Kurjans. Paxton is part demon and had a really bad childhood because his father beat him after his mother died. It was only after Hope found out about it and told her father who is the leader of their kind that Paxton went to live with his uncle and was treated better. Hope is the only female vampire hybrid ever to be born but she doesn't have any special powers and the doctors and scientists have been researching her blood since she was a small child trying to figure out why she gets sick and can't heal herself.
The Kurjan nation is at war with just about everyone else because they are kidnapping enhanced females. Plus Drake is helping Ulric who wants to perform another ritual that could destroy the Universe and many of the enhanced females as a sacrifice for the ritual. So Hope and the other immortals are doing what they can to stop him. Drake says he wants to stop Ulric but does he really?
I really thought I knew what was going to happen with Hope, Drake and Paxton but boy was I wrong. Even though Hope can dream walk and bring Paxton and Drake along with her so they can all talk, all three of them have been keeping secrets from each other for as long as they have known each other. And the secrets were big, really big. All of those secrets come to light in this book which made the story have so many different twists so that I was kept guessing what might happen next with these three. But I liked the ending even though I was a little sad because these three weren't exactly like I thought they would be after watching them grow up.
Disclosure: I was given an e-ARC via NetGalley but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
WOW!
Just wow! Have you ever sat on the edge of your seat while watching a movie? This is what I did while reading Warrior’s Hope the 16th book in the Dark Protectors Series by Rebecca Zanetti. It has everything you would want in a book: A love triangle, action, bad guys, twists and turns and a few surprises.
Hope is the hope for the future. She believes that it is her destiny to prevent war between the Realm and the Kurjan nation and will accomplish this by deciding which man she should marry. She loves them both; Drake, the King of the Kurjan nation and Paxton, her best friend. She has known both of them since she was a little girl. How could she ever choose just one? Yet, she does and her choice was so surprising and yet just right.
I wish that I could write and share all the wonderful, surprising and interesting things that happen in this book. I don’t know how this author keeps writing such great books with well developed characters and plots but, I hope she does this for a long time.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publishing company for the opportunity of reading this ARC for my honest review.
The latest installment of the Dark Protectors series delves deeper into the enthralling world of immortals, taking readers on an adrenaline-fueled ride that is hard to put down. The plot revolves around Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood, a character who is not only uniquely the only female vampire ever born but also holds the weighty lineage of two powerful immortal families. This in itself sets the stage for a captivating narrative.
The stakes are incredibly high for Hope, both on personal and larger scales. As Hope navigates her complex feelings, she's also tasked with making choices that could dictate the fate of the immortal world. This imbues the story with tension and urgency, making every chapter vital.
The pacing of the story is commendable. Each revelation and twist is timed to perfection, ensuring readers are constantly engaged. Zanetti's rich descriptions and attention to detail further enhance the reading experience, painting a vivid picture of the Dark Protectors universe.
This is a riveting addition to the Dark Protectors series. It seamlessly blends romance, politics, and action, creating a story that is both heart-wrenching and thrilling. For fans of the series and newcomers alike, this book is a must-read.
I loved this book. The triangle between Hope, Drake and Pax comes to its conclusion. We have followed these characters since they were children and they all have stayed true to who they are. Hope ended up with the male who is her destiny. I loved seeing the other couples, Dage, Talen, Zane and Garrett. This series kept me always wanting more from these characters, who are truly a strong, fierce family. In the end, they finally take Ulric down with help from the Seven. I will miss this series, one of the best I have read. But I wait for what Ms Zanetti has for the future for The Realm.
Finally we get Hope’s story! And boy did it live up to the hype! Woo hoo! First off you should read all the books before this one to really appreciate the climax of this story line. But if that seems daunting you can start with Vampires Faith. Hope is the only female vampire born and has a destiny to fulfill. She’s in a love triangle between Drake and Paxton. I always knew who I was rooting for to win. And now I got to finally find out who she chose and how it all comes together.. You get all the feels and thrills. It was such a satisfying conclusion! I loved it!! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

After having seen Hope, Drake and Paxton grew up as childhood friends in the Dreamworld in the previous books, finally we see them as adults and the time has come to understand Hope’s destiny and find out if her dream for peace between the Realm and their enemy the Kurjans is linked to her fate.
The book can't be read as a standalone, the plot has twist and turns strongly connected with the past. I don't love spoilers so it's hard write about this story, the plot is a masterpiece, engaging, with a lot of action scenes. Hope's fate is not only about her choice between Drake and Paxton, their romance story, but there's also her role in the ritual of the Seven against Ulric, the enemy who could destroy their world. A war with no holds barred.
It"s a story about family, friendship, love and most of all trust, loyalty and total unselfishness. Talking about the characters in this story I really loved Hope, Paxton and Zane, Hope's father. Hope nature as only female vampire, among the immortals is an unsolved mistery, because she seems almost human, fragile in the Realm World, she can't heal herself, she hasn't special skills as the others, but she conquered her role as leader strategist in the battlefield. Everyone vampires, demons, shapeshifters, follow her lead, because she's the best.
She deeply cares for her family and friends and she feels the responsability to find a way for a truce in the war. Paxton’s childhood with his father was a nightmare, the only kindness showed to him was from Hope's mother and father, Janie and Zane and this gave him a purpose, a mission in his life: protect Hope, no matter what. He's an enigma, full of secrets and surprises, at one point nobody seems to know who the real Paxton is.
And Zane? Sometimes it's so strange for me to think about Zane and Janie as parents. More than ten years ago, in the series he was a child himself, than a boy, now he's the powerful King of the demons and a father. Without mercy for the enemies, but such a great daddy for his forever baby-girl Hope and a great role-model for Paxton. I enjoyed the moments when Zane and Paxton are facing each other, really loved them I don't know if this is the end of my journey with the Dark Protectors, I'd love more books in the series, but I'm also happy and fullfilled this way at the moment.
Thanks to Netgalley and Kensington Books for the kind preview
RATING: 5 stars
This is the one story everyone's been waiting for and what a fantastic story it was!
I've been wanting Hope's story since she first came into the picture. She is strong, fierce and powerful. And Paxton turned out to be one of the BEST and SEXIEST male of Dark Protector history IMO!
Their chemistry is scorching and their passion sizzles on every page! I loved the danger and nonstop action. WOWZA!!
Finally hope book is here! The book did not disappoint! Drake, Hope and Paxton been friends since childhood. Hope knee she is the one to take down the evil one, she was going to sacrifice herself but her best friend Paxton always procreated her. The book had a great ending, what a plot twist.
I received a ARC from NetGalley for this this review.
So, I absolutely love this series and these characters. If there’s one thing I enjoy, it’s a long running series of interconnected books, where each one brings back characters, where we see characters that we watched grow up.
That being said, watching character arcs come to fruition can be bittersweet, will they or won’t they? Does the story arc go where I think it will? Will the writer decide that since she’s about to start a new arc it’s time to murder a bunch of characters?
Going into Hope’s story I was excited and terrified, and finishing it, I can’t wait to see where we go next. That ending!
I have three words for this book, Hope, Drake and Paxton. The trials, the tribulation, the loyalty, the love. This was great and long awaited. One of my favorites of the series. Go in with an open mind. There is a whole lot to unwrap here. Lots of twists and turns, and hot guys!
There is so much to say about this amazing book, I don’t even know where to start! It’s taken three generations of characters and 16 books for all the various plot lines to finally converge on this final denouement where Hope, granddaughter of the first book’s heroine, finally has her moment to end the battle between good and evil and live up to her daunting legacy. For years we’ve seen glimpses of Hope and her friends growing up and developing their gifts and I have loved the anticipation of waiting for her to finally get her story. I really like both Drake and Paxton and started the book with my heart in my throat, waiting to see which one she would choose. As befits such a much anticipated book, the plot twists, action and surprises come thick and fast. Along the way Hope reaches her potential and gets her much deserved once in a lifetime love. This book is simply epic, with outstanding world building and character development. I honestly cannot recommend it highly enough!
What an explosive ending to this series. Hope and Paxton and Drake have been dancing around each other their whole lives. It's spectacular to get inside Ms. Zanetti's head to finally get to the finish line, imagine, 16 books, all keeping the readers thoroughly engaged throughout each and every book. What a complex story to keep in your head, ever evolving for readers to get glimpses of and to keep coming back to find out what is going to happen next. Absolutely spellbinding. Filled with humor, action, intensity, deep, deep emotions, family, and a sense of right. You don't want to miss out on this book or this series and definitely, this author.
I voluntarily reviewed this book.
FIVE STARS
Warrior's Hope is an action packed, suspenseful romance that was full of surprises. I have to admit that I've not read the entire series, so I went into this one not fully knowing the backstory, but this author does an excellent job of telling the story so that I didn't feel like I was missing anything and I was able to fully follow along. Warrior's Hope has a number of twists and turns, with the first coming early on in the book, and there are some really surprising things that occur along the way to their Happy Every After. Those that are die hard fans who have read all the books coming before will definitely enjoy this one, and even those who are more new to the series will love it as well.
