A very satisfying end to a long running series. To get the full effect one needs to read the other books otherwise a lot of the context will be lost.
This is one of my most highly anticipated books, and that I finally get to see who Hope chooses between Drake and Paxton. I was not disappointed by this book at all. It was a love triangle as well as they are trying to figure out how they can finally defeat Ulric.
It was interesting to see Hope figure out her romance issues while also being part of a group to stop Ulric. it was nice to see the kids become the protectors and warriors of the realm. As always with a Rebecca Zanetti group, there were twists and turns that you don’t see coming. The plot started fast from the beginning of the book and kept up throughout until the end. there’s a Romance and suspense and action and it’s one of the most entertaining books that I’ve read this year. I am now eager to see what the next phase of books will hold for the children.
The author has a way with the build up of suspense that will have you zero in on the plot. Each page throws you for a rollercoaster ride of emotions and shocks. I haven’t read romance suspense paranormal book this good and the spicy scenes were just that very spicy. In all honesty the spicy scene were good, but the plot of this story was amazing. All that unfolded with the story was a shock and surprise throughout the book. This was definitely an amazing read and look forward to reading more from these immortals and the realm.
Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood is the world's only female vampire. If that wasn't enough pressure, she is also the Lock needed to stop Ulric from his plan to rule. Watching Hope, Paxton, and Drake grow up in the previous installments of the Dark Protector Series has been great. This book concludes the triangle when Hope chooses between Paxton and Drake. We see her struggle to prevent war, gain peace for the vampire nation, and follow her destiny. There are several surprising revelations along the way, ending in a stunning conclusion; it is also great to see so many of my favorite characters from previous books make cameos in the story. I can't wait to see what happens next in the Dark Hunter universe. I loved this book! Thank you to Rebecca Zanetti, Kensington, and Netgalley for the advanced reading copy in exchange for an honest review. #WarriorsHope #NetGalley
This ARC was received through NetGalley for an honest review, any and all opinions are strictly my own and no way reflect the opinions of the author or the publisher. This book is a part of series and should not be read as a stand-alone, the world is rich and full of wonderful characters and should be explored by any pnr reader.
I love the world Rebecca Zanetti has created. This is Hope’s book and it has been teased that she is going to the mate of either Paxton or Drake, this review will not spoil it for you. Drake want her to be his queen and doesn’t mind if the Ritual takes place (as it kills Ulric)—Paxton wants her to be his mate and doesn’t want the Ritual to go ahead. The author gives Hope her much needed HEA, but there will be plenty of twists and turns that make it an awesome read.
I loved the storyline in Warrior’s Hope, but I also struggled a little bit because I had a hard time seeing Hope as an adult. I also never cared much about Paxton, but I will admit he grew on me. I also struggled seeing him as an adult too. So that made parts of the book a tad bit awkward lol.
Overall it was a fantastic finale to this story arc. I’m just hoping it isn’t the finale to the series.
I loved this book and couldn't put it down! It was a great way to conclude this part of the series and still leave an opening for future books with the younger generation of characters. Seeing how Paxton had changed and grown from the scared little boy we first saw to the warrior of this story. was amazing, as was Hope's growth in the various aspects of her life. There were some surprises and plot twists that kept me guessing. I have loved this series from the get go and hope Ms. Zanetti can continue these books well into the future! Highly recommended.

Warrior's Hope by Rebecca Zanetti is a scintillating romance novel that reaches its passionate climax through an explosive love triangle, ultimately determining the fate of warring nations.
Back to The Realm!!! Action, adventure, betrayal - longing, lust, true love - secrets finally revealed and questions answered! The triangle of Hope-Pax-Drake comes full on and The Seven head off with Ulrich. Just wow, read it in one afternoon. No spoilers, but you will be satisfied in the end.
First and foremost, in the spirit of complete transparency, I am a DIEHARD Zanetti fangirl! Have been since I first discovered this series a decade ago. Secondly, while this was the series that started it all for me, I have now read six different Zanetti series. Suffice it to say that I read almost everything Zanetti puts out. I even read the novellas and anthologies that come out in between full installments. I can’t help myself; I just really enjoy her writing and storytelling and will continue to be her devoted fangirl for the rest of my life!
On that note, rather than proceed with a review of this particular installment, I feel that a review of the series thus far would do the series much more justice and who knows, it may even intrigue someone to check the series out. After 16 full installments and 11 novellas, this series has become an epic story about immortal characters and secret wars between a variety of species, all of which has been transpiring right under the eyes of the mortal world for thousands of years. It’s a world of a vast array of different species who are just so fascinating and exciting and, of course, the individual characters who are just sooo funny and sexy who live and love like their lives depend on it. It’s a story of survival of those that have been hunted throughout time and their strength to thrive in the face of extinction whether it be by the hands of fate or destiny or the machinations of evil or the grip of disease. This genre of urban-fantasy and paranormal history and romance have simply been my guilty pleasure from the get-go!
On that note, in the 12yrs since the publication of the first installment, the series timeframe has spanned several decades (30-40yrs). What started with the clan of the Kayrs brothers, a powerful vampire family that has ruled the Realm for centuries, expanded to the brothers finding their destined mates, enhanced human females, who possessed extraordinary skills and abilities. The Realm, a society of immortal beings (vampires, demons, shapeshifters, witches, etc…), has been in a war with the Kurjans, an evil faction of vampires that, initially, didn’t possess the numbers, strength, technology, power and/or skills and abilities that the Realm vampires possesses. The series continued with several installments that included key members of many of the other species who were key players (often leaders of their species) in the Realm’s war with the Kurjans.
At this particular point in the series, the story now includes the offspring of the Kayrs brothers as well as the kids of many of the leaders of the other species, who have now joined with the Realm in their fight with the Kurjans. Additionally, starting with book 8 (plus four novellas), Zanetti started an arc in the series with the emergence of the Seven, a group of seven immortals, some of whom are absolutely ancient and believed to have been long dead with the leader being the oldest Kayrs brother. The Seven have disrupted the laws of physics and screwed up the powers of the Realm immortals, which has not endeared the Seven to the Realm, regardless of their family connections. The Seven were tasked with reinforcing the off-world imprisonment of an evil monster named Ulric, a member of an offshoot tribe of Kurjans called the Cyst. Now, they are trying to kill Ulric using three keys and a lock all of which are enhanced human females, who will be sacrificed in order to kill Ulric.
In this installment, Zanetti brings the arc of The Seven to its conclusion in an absolutely magnificent ritual that The Seven have been waiting years to perform. The absolutely gruesome and really gross end came in an explosive (literally) finale. I do feel compelled to warn that a lot of the war battles and fight scenes in this series are truly gruesome and bloody and some of them downright gross. Think of the myth that the only way to kill an immortal is to cut their head off – yeah, that kind of gross.
I love this series and I can not wait to see what Zanetti has planned for the next installment. The final chapter was a lead-in to what the future holds for the Realm and the Dark Protectors series. It’s kind of exciting to think of what Zanetti has stored for us fans. I want to thank NetGalley and Kensington Books for sending me this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Warrior's Hope is the ninth book in the continuation of the Dark Protectors series by Rebecca Zanetti (16th book overall). It brings to light new faces from times past and present along with a deeper insight into the history of the Vampire Kurjan war. While some of our favorite characters from the earlier books do make cameos in Immortal’s Honor, the focus is on illuminating a new mythos that began in Vampire's Faith with brand new characters and relationships.
This book focuses on Hope Karys-Kyllwood, the child of destiny and the only female vampire in the world. She carries the weight of the world on her shoulders and wants to achieve eternal peace as her legacy. She faces a choice between duty and love, peace and war, with the fate of everyone she loves hanging in the balance.
Paxton has been Hope's best friend and protector since they were children. In secret, he has become a supremely talented and highly powerful being. Despite the seven's watch over the centuries trying to contain an ancient evil, the endgame is near.
Together, Paxton and Hope must work with their allies to combat the forces of darkness and save their world. This book is truly spellbinding. Rebecca Zanetti creates characters with such depth that you just can't help rooting for them.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC
I have a lot of reading in my future. I found an awesome new series with lots of books to catch up on. You will love Pax and Hope as they save... I won't spoil it.
Hope, Paxton, and Drake have been in a love triangle since they were kids through a dreamworld that Hope could form. (Spanning 7 books.) Hope and Paxton are of the Realm, and Drake is of the enemy Kurjan nation. Hope, a prophet, has always believed that she is the key to brokering a peace with the Kurjan nation. And that peace might include mating with Drake, though Paxton has always been her best friend. And Paxton has always loved her.
In Warrior's Hope, Hope is a strategist for the Realm. Paxton is supposed to be a scientist studying butterflies, but his truth is unveiled. In more ways than one. Drake is the King of the Kurjan nation. Drake is at odds with the Kurjan's Cyst leader, Ulric, whom a faction of the Realm called the Seven is trying to kill. Hope is to play a role in Ulric's demise.
In this book, we finally find out who Hope's hero is, and I couldn't be happier. I love him. He story has a big twist that turns his life upside down. The resolution of the conflict between Paxton and Drake is a surprise that I didn't see coming, but is fitting. The end of the Ulric storyline is another twist.
All in all the book is exciting and suspenseful and, the warrior is swoon worthy. Highly recommended.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Great book! I enjoyed seeing all the previous characters and the younger characters grown up. Overall, it was a great ending to the series! I felt the book could have been longer to allow for more romantic interactions.
I love this series and hope there's more to come!
Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood, now 24, the only female vampire and the key to the future of good against evil, finally has her story in the Dark Protectors series. And what a story that is! Hope has not yet come into her vampire abilities but her skills have brought her her own team made up of other familiar faces of the children of the supernatural nation. Their job is to find enhanced females before the Kurjans do as they have something to do with Ulric the meanest and oldest member of the Kurjan nation who the supernatural nation must defeat. Into the story comes her childhood Kurjan friend Drake and Paxton her long time friend and defender as well as The Seven who are behind the whole Ulric conflict. What part in her story will they play, it’s big time. This story has everything, romance, suspense, drama, action, twists and turns. You can’t get into much more detail without giving a wonderful story away. It’s a must read and while it’s said to be the last in the series, I hope more Dark Protectors stories of valiant supernatural heroes continues. Thank you Kensington and NetGalley for the ARC and thank you Rebecca Zanetti for another fantastic read!
Rebecca Zanetti never fails. Warrior's Hope!!! Wow, what a finale. I won't say names to avoid spoilers and give away any surprises but the sensual attraction between Hope and the Leading Man is cosmic.
What a roller coaster of emotions. The plot twist and turns were spectacular. Some were stabs in the heart and others were healing the wounds with sweetness and desire.
I got the book for an ARC read yesterday and could not put it down. I read it in one sitting. This book brought back many favorite and loved characters from the series. It was great to see them sprinkled throughout the story. The ending....oh the ending... I couldn't consume the words fast enough.
Action, suspense, gutwrenching, romance, and just the right amount of sweet and naughty spice.
Amazing ending.
Absolutely love this series and author!!! Never disappointed!!! A must read!! Always love going back to the begining of this series for a reread!
Ohhhh this was soooo good! This is Hopes story! Not going to say who the male is, read the book. Some unexpected twists in this book. I so did not want it to end!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own
What an absolutely amazing ending to this long time series at least this part. Maybe we’ll still get more who knows.
Hope finally gets her HEA and boy what a shocking one it is.
This destiny, one of many I’m sure, has always come down to the three of us.” That was what she had been trying to say for nearly two decades. If they worked together to destroy Ulric,
Everything is definitely not as it seems and I’m not going to spoil anything but this is a must read.
“I wanted to stay in the park and find it, but Mr. Bossy Pants said it was too dangerous and that we were going home.”
The best of the best!!
This book was everything I didn’t know I needed to complete the Seven saga! It feels like the Dark Protectors series has been has been leading to this moment! Vampires, demons, witches, shifters, and Kurjans come together once and for all.
There were twists and turns I didn’t see coming. I wondered how Rebecca Zanetti would finish this arc, and it was perfectly executed. I don’t want to give spoilers, so I’ll just say this is a great PNR series and I highly recommend them all. While this could be read as a stand-alone; there is a lot of world building throughout the series that is missed if you don’t read them in order.
