Finally we get the ending for this part of the series, and it was really good! I can’t write any details without giving spoilers but I loved it.
Hope is a strategist and works with a team. Pax has lied to her about being a scientist and is instead a warrior. Drake is the Kurjan’s king.
Hope discovers the truth about Pax and from then the plot develops with a lot of explanations about some things read in previous books and some in this, and there’re more twists added.
Action, romance, friendships, families, trying to stop a war, profecies, fate, rituals, Ulric and the Seven, and more!
For my safety gang: totally safe, trust me, you’ll love it.
I have read all of the Dark Protector books and this is one of the most thrilling. Some authors with this many books in a series grow stale, but Rebecca Zanetti books just keep getting better. The way she has carried these through the years is amazing and I can only hope that this turns into a movie or tv series. In the latest book, Warriors Hope, she has done it again. Wowed the reader...This thrilling romantic book causes the reader to see Hope's struggle towards her destiny. Is she going to need to choose or will destiny decide for her? Trust me, read this and you will not be sorry.
WOW! Ms. Zanetti, you did it again! Plot twists and intrigue I didn’t begin to think of. I just want these storylines and characters to keep going on……they’re all family now. It’s thrilling to see the younger generation growing up and taking their place but I always go back and read the beginning books before a new one comes out. I love the history and continuity of this amazing series.
The long-awaited finale has arrived! This was not only a great book but a superb series. I have followed through all the books set in this world created by Rebecca Zanetti, beginning with Talon and ending here. I hope more books and series come from this world, as it has been an incredible journey. In case you missed it, this is a must-read—all the action you can take plus more.
This was the best in the series! I love every book in this series but this was the most anticipating one!
As I hate yet see the series end, but I can’t help but think this is it!
I’m not into spoilers so you won’t get any.
Hope and Pax have a never-ending love for the ages.
This was one of the most awaited books of the series for me! I like how the author followed the toxic triangle template for Hope's book, just like it was for her parents, but knowing this also made the books slightly. As usual the author has aced the thriller element of the war between the Realm and the Kurjans, Hope being a warrior herself makes it quite exciting! The twist in Paxton's atc that was introduced in the previous book and how it was resolved was absolutely fun as well. Drake as a character felt a bit one toned but still he was a worthy adversary in the plot, though the final solution to war felt very sudden and almost far fetched. The romance was amazing, we rarely see friends to lovers in paranormal romance, so it was very refreshing!
"What you seem to have forgotten is that your heart is no longer yours to sacrifice. Your heart is mine."
In book 16 of Dark Protectors we see epic battles ( so throught out you will never see whats coming), old and new friends, lovers, the ending of one Era and the beginning of a new one. The new generation of Protectors take the fore front and its wonderful to see who they have become and what their powers are.
For all of us that are Dark Protector fans I think we seen where the problems with Hope's health stems from ( that's all you will have figured out). Paxton and Drake have some serious secrets and hidden agendas, that will leave Hope with a lot to deal with. Ulric proves to be more formidable an opponent that we ever expected.
Rebecca Zanetti is one of the best story tellers I have ever had the privilege to read, every one of her stories are thought out and so well written you feel every emotion, you picture the scenes so vividly in your mind by the way she describes everything, it's like you are right there within the scenes. To be able to do that so well takes incredible talent, there is like 23 Dark Protector books and to take a series that far and not only have it hold everyone's interest but to constantly have a couple " oh my, I didn't see that coming " moments, shows how many hours it must take Mrs. Zanetti to think about these characters and stories. If ever a series deserved to be made into a movie it's this one. This book had lots of expectations that Mrs. Zanetti met wonderfully.
As far as I'm concerned this is not a standalone, I suggest you start with Cara and Talen in Fated and enjoy the ride. I'm so looking forward to a new chapter.

have been counting down the minutes to its arrival! Spoiler…. It did NOT disappoint.
Hope is the only female vampire ever born AND carries the responsibility of two hugely powerful families AND might be the only way to create peace with the Kurjan nation AND has to pick between two incredibly hot immortal men……so no pressure. Hope, Paxton and Drake have been meeting in dreamworlds since childhood but now that Ulric is back they can either band together to save the world or does someone have to die?
Warrior’s Hope was everything I want in a highly anticipated book, especially from a master like Zanetti. We get lots of angst between Pax, Hope and Drake, tons of action and fighting between The Realm and Kurjans and a few plot twists I did NOT see coming! Plus cameos from Dark Protector favorites Zane, Dage and Talon!
While Warrior’s Hope wraps up the Seven story arc I hope that Rebecca Zanetti continues the Dark Protectors world that I love so much!
“What you seem to have forgotten is that your heart is no longer yours to sacrifice. Your heart is mine, Hope. Don’t you ever fucking forget it.”
Thank you to the publisher (Kensington Books) for an E-ARC in exchange for an honest review, all thoughts are my own. Warrior’s Hope has a publish date of October 3, 2023.
I loved this book! It was such a great finale to the end of this amazing series! I was hoping the Drake/Pax would play out different with a bigger battle scene but definitely didn’t see the twist coming!! Can’t wait for the next generation!!
While I love all the Dark Protector characters, I have been waiting for Hope’s book since her first dream walk. As always, Rebecca did not disappoint with Hope’s story. Although most of our favorite people are in the book, it is about Hope, Paxton and Drake.
Hope is a strong and driven character. She has carried the knowledge that she is her people’s chance for peace and survival. To sacrifice herself for them has always been a fate she has accepted. But then her heart keeps trying to interfere.
Paxton has grown into a man, a fierce fighter. A far cry from the boy we first met. Pax has always felt it was his duty to protect Hope and would give his life for her . . . . whether she wanted him to or not.
Drake is being groomed to be the next king of the Kurjan nation. His loyalty to his people is strong and runs deep. He will use whatever means he must to ensure they are the victors and sole race to survive.
This is a great addition to the series with a couple of plot twists that keep you guessing until the end. Looking forward to the next book in this series.
This books wraps off the Seven arc that has been ongoing over several books. The love triangle between Hope/Drake/Pax is finally resolved and I can't really say who comes out on top b/c... spoilers. As always, this world is interesting and fleshed out and will leave you wanting more. Characters in the background make you wonder if there will be more books in this series and I hope so.
When I first started reading this new spin off series of the Dark Protectors I wasn't that excited about it. But with ever book in the series I couldn't wait to read this one. Wow I so wasn't expecting things to play out the way they did. I really didn't know what I thought would happen but it wasn't that. This is defiantly one of those books you want to read and re read. Rebecca really out did herself..
I just adore Rebecca Zanetti, and I was so excited to be given the opportunity to read an ARC of this novel. Last in a series of which I've read all of the previous novels, I was ready to finally see how the Hope/Pax/Drake triangle would resolve. If you haven't read the previous books, you probably should. Each one features a specific couple, but Hope et al's story has been given in tiny increments throughout, from the time they were young children through them as full adults. It would likely be confusing and possibly less enjoyable if you haven't read at least some of the previous books. That said, I've read them spaced out over time and had forgotten a lot, but I was still absorbed.
What we get here is a satisfying end to a great tale, though we have secondary characters in the wings should Ms. Zanetti decide on a spinoff (please, oh please). Hope is a strong heroine and Pax is a perfect blend of tough and tender. Neither is perfect, which I love because it makes them more relatable. Also, we get to revisit previous couples, which fans of the series will appreciate. I won't say much more to avoid spoilers.
Overall, a great story. Read it, but read it as part of the whole series. It does not disappoint.
I received an ARC of this book for free from the publisher and Netgalley. I'm writing this review voluntarily, and it reflects my honest opinion. Thanks!
FINALLY Hope's book !! And so the last book of this cycle !
Be careful, you absolutely have to read this book last, otherwise you won't understand much !
I have to admit that I hesitated for a long time before starting this book because Hope wasn't really my favorite character, but above all because it's the end of the second Dark Protectors cycle ... And that makes me so nostalgic >< We saw the birth and growth of some of the characters whose stories we read about in this cycle (especially Hope !) and it makes me feel weird to think that it's over !
I really hope that we will have books with the third generation that we discovered a little in this book =)
What I particularly liked :
- the universe which has been particularly enriched over the books with the different factions, their characteristics and what is quite original, a very scientific side that books with vampires and others do not usually have !
- the plot !! We finally have here the conclusion of the Seven cycle (I have to admit I was a little disappointed with the "final confrontation" ... But it's because I love big epic duels =)) with all the explanations around the role of the Lock and therefore Hope ... And I loved some twists and revelations that I didn't expect (in particular the "sacrifice" but also the huge revelation about Pax (which I wouldn't spoil because WOW !))
- the characters !! I didn't expect to like Hope and Paxton so much because I had found Hope too naive in the previous books and I didn't really like Paxton's secrets ... But here we see adult Hope as a trained badass (even though she doesn't have all her abilities yet !) and the revelations about Paxton made me totally love the character =) I also really liked the secondary characters that we see again or that we discover (I SO want a book with Hunter but also my favorite Vero <3 And potentially Lyrica whom I liked =D)
- the romance !! I really liked the way we see them being friends from childhood then falling in love and in this book we finally see them end up together and I loved it (the scene in the cabin in the middle of nowhere with the "hearts" <3)
(special mention for the scene where Hope "chooses"... So awesome <3)
- the end !!! I was so not expecting the consequences after the final confrontation but I'm really impatient to see how Paxton and the others will change things for all the factions !!
In short, a book full of twists and turns that concludes a series of paranormal romance that I loved ! For fans of paranormal and best friends romance, I recommend it !
PS : to the publisher and Netgalley, thank you so much for the ARC =D
An emotional dramatic finish to the story arc of the Seven. The answer to the love triangle of Hope-Paxton-Drake is finally revealed. Now all Hope has to do is survive the final battle with Ulric.

I have been reading Rebecca Zanetti since the beginning. She had me hooked with her first Realm book. Now, with this 3rd generation, I am still hooked and a totally devoted fan, I'll admit, after receiving this book, I didn't start reading it for 3 days. I just wasn't sure I was ready for the ending of this story arc. Then, I jumped and literally devoured the book I cried, I sighed, and I enjoyed every moment of it I can't wait to read it again! I wasn't sure which directon Hope would go and who her mate would be. Or how the lock and keys would all come together . Honestly, I just didn't see how the story could and would all come together but it did. Andm I feel satisfied. There are many stories that can still be told in the Realm and I know we will see many of these characters again.
Been waiting for this book, she has outdone herself with this book. One of the best in the series. All her books are outstanding but this is my favorite. Would recommend this to anyone that wants to read this series.
4 stars!
The latest book in the Dark Protectors series, this book finishes the second story arc of the series - that of ‘the Seven’ - and, like her parent’s book before hers, Hope’s story brings yet another big shift to the world as a whole, answering longstanding questions and resolving a love triangle to bring a gorgeous romance.
Hope is the daughter of Janie and Zane (their book is Marked). As the daughter of the demon king and the only female vampire ever born, she is a mystery, and though she lacks the powers that others in her family have, she has her own unique abilities and a fate that is tied to the future of the realm itself. She’s now all grown up, and uses her strategic skills to lead a group of warriors, but she’s still trying to figure out where her own destiny lies. Hope knows that she’s destined to change the world. She is an essential part of an ancient prophecy to rid the world of an unimaginable evil – though nobody quite knows what her role in the ritual is, and while she is prepared to give her life, her loved ones are fiercely fighting against that.
She’s also torn between the two men in her life. Drake is the leader of the Kurjans, he is Hope’s childhood friend who visits her in dreams, and he knows that they are destined to be together, that their mating will bring peace for both of their races. And then there’s her best friend, Paxton, who has been there for her and protected her for her whole life. He would gladly sacrifice himself for her, but he has his own battles to face which bring big changes to him, and to the realm. All three of them are right in the middle of the unfolding action, and it’s a wild ride as the story unfolds.
"His smile was wicked. “I’m done waiting for you to figure things out.” Then his lips were on hers again."
I won’t give details, because anything I say will be a spoiler, but Zanetti manages to deliver some big surprises, while tying up multiple ongoing storylines in this book, bringing twists and turns and satisfying conclusions, managing to mix things up enough to bring huge changes for the continuation of the series, and I cannot wait to see where it all goes from here!
Along the way we get to see a number of series faves – Dage and Talen of course, the members of the Seven, and Zane absolutely shines as Hope’s protective father, and a father-figure to Pax..
The romance is there, though is not quite as epic as I was hoping (I prefer my books heavy on the romance), but with so much going on in the story, everything is balanced well.
“Whatever happens next, it isn’t going to be easy. For either of us or our people.”
“I’ve never wanted easy,” he murmured. “I’ve only wanted you.”
It’s exciting, dramatic, suspenseful, emotional and full of action. There were moments towards the end of this book that had my heart pounding, and me holding my breath in shock, desperate to see what was going to happen next. I was completely captivated as the story unfolded, and I loved the wild ride.
Such a great read - 4 stars!
Everything has been heading to this confrontation, it was just a matter of how things would be settled. Now Hope will need to choose between two men, while also planning to sacrifice herself to destroy the immortal, evil Ulric and end the wars.
Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood is the only female vampire ever born, she is also the daughter of the Demon King and the granddaughter of the King of the Realm. Like her mother, Hope can enter a dreamworld, where she interacts with Drake, now the leader of the Kurjan nation, and her childhood friend, half-demon Paxton, who has been her best friend and protector. Hope believes it is up to her to unite the Kurjan nation and the Realm and finally have peace. Drake is positive she will be his and they rule will rule together to unite their people. She has been meeting Drake and Paxton in this dream world since she was very young, knowing she would eventually need to choose one, probably Drake.
I enjoyed watching Hope work her magic, as the strategic leader of a small team. While she doesn’t have the advantages of those around her, her brains more than make up for it. She also has visions, although they aren’t always easy to interpret. Even though she is a vampire, she gets human illnesses and doesn’t have the physical strength of those around her. Following Hope as the confrontations, the battles, and the emotional stress build, I was both surprised and pleased to find an unexpected but satisfying conclusion to the problem of Uric and the war with the Kurjans. Of course, I was on edge the entire time of the final battle, because I just didn’t see a solution. I’m sad to see the ending of this series, unless Rebecca eventually graces us with a fourth generation.
This is not a standalone book, it follows three generations to get to the conclusion. I don’t think it is necessary to start from the beginning, but the story needs more background to really understand what led up to this book.
I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley; this is my honest review.
Warrior's Hope is the book I have been waiting for. I have wondered for years who would Hope choose, Drake or Paxton. I ever thought of the possibility of a third male coming into her life. I know who I wanted her to mate, but I really didn't know how it would all play out. I sooooo wanted to know.
I will admit I was tempted to take a little peek at the last few chapters. Not knowing and having to wait has been challenging. I am so happy I resisted the temptation. I knew the book would be packed with goodness. I am so grateful to Rebecca Zanetti for writing such an addictive story that I couldn't do it. As tempted as you might be, don't skip to the end.
Warrior's Hope is jam packed with shocking moments. The world, as the Realm knew it, could end at any time. The Kurgans are fighting dirty. Ulric, now leader of the Cyst, has dreams of grandeur. An unknown hacker is showing the Realm they aren't assecure as they thought they were. Enhanced females are disappearing from the Realm. The Seven still want to destroy Ulric. Rebecca Zanetti takes the reader on a wild ride of discovery.
Grab yourself some delicious snacks. Stock yourself up with your favorite drinks. Find a comfy spot to read Warrior's Hope. Put up a "Do Not Disturb" sign. Settle in for the most enticing story I have read this year. Get lost in the battles. Swoon over the hunky warriors. Devour the romance and declarations of love. Bask in the knowledge that traitors to the Realm get what they deserve. Get ready to say "I didn't see that coming." It was something I said numerous times.
Warrior's Hope is riddled with great battles. If the story was on the big screen I would have been hiding my eyes during the great battle. The details, the horrors made everything so real. Warrior's Hope is a story I will remember for a very long time.
Now it is time to binge read the complete series.
