I received this as an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I fully love this series, and Cauldron did not let me down! Asher is now an auto-buy author.

This was my favourite book in the Supernatural Singles trilogy (unless there are more books coming??) in large part because I had been waiting so long for Olive's book and eager to see how things would play out with Baxter.
On paper, the two are opposites: she's a college professor, academic, loves reading while he's a motorcycle riding guardian angel with a bad bay type reputation.
He's tasked with keeping her safe, but can't tell her. He's also been super attracted to her and now he gets to spend lots of time with her.
This book is funny, sexy, and entertaining. It was fun to also catch up with Olive's sisters, who were the FMCs in the previous two books, as well as their broader circle of friends.
I always enjoy April Asher's writing and look forward to the next book.
Thanks to St. Martin's Press for the eARC; all opinions are my own.

This was such a fun conclusion to the witchy romance series by April Asher. The love interest is tattooed, motorcycle-riding, guardian angel Baxter, who has offered to protect the main character by living with her.

Not Your Crush's Cauldron is the third book in the Supernatural Singles series. Did I know that when I requested it? Nope. Did a curvy MC sucker me into reading it? Yes. Do you need to read the first two to understand this one? No. Should you? Probably.
It's true... I didn't realize this book was part of a series when I requested it. It sounded fun and I love a curvy MC, so it was a no-brainer. Sadly, I think I did myself a disservice by not reading the first two in the series. I didn't have a problem understanding who people were and it certainly isn't necessary to read the others in order to read this one, but I think I missed the relationship and development between the 3 sisters by not reading the others first.
Olive is a sweet character. She's likable and easy to root for. Bax is great. I truly loved his sections of the book - more so than Olive's. The relationship between them is cute. Unfortunately, I just didn't love this book. It bordered on boring at times even though I really liked the characters. There was steaminess and enjoyable side characters, but it just lacked a hook that grabbed me. And it's not an issue with the writing. April Asher writes very well!
I went back and read the second book in the series, Not Your Ex's Hexes. Yes, I still read them out of order... stop judging me. I did enjoy the second one more than I enjoyed this one. There was more of a hook with that one. I still haven't read the first one, Not The Witch You Wed, but if there other two are any indication, I am likely to like that one the best. I'll get to it eventually...
With all that being said, it was still enjoyable and easy to get through. My recommendation would be to just read the books in order - don't pull a me. Haha.

I love this series and getting to read about each sister. They are each so different and full of personality. I was excited to get to Olive's story. Friends to lovers and forbidden romance are two of my favorite tropes. Bax is such a cinnamon roll. I adored him. There romance was sweet, they were so cute and made me laugh. I recommend this book and the series. They are each standalones but they are all so good! Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for allowing me to read the arc in exchange for my honest review.

This was a fun magical twist on a sweet friends to lovers romance with lots of forced proximity, found family and some spice a long the way. This is book three in an interconnected stand alone series. This can absolutely be read on its own though I can see how having read the previous books will give you more insight into the side characters.
Olive was so fun and sweet. I love a story where the FMC is finding themselves and her Do I Docket was the perfect little version of a bucket list to do that. While Olive continued to show amazing strength and bravery I loved that Bash pushed himself out of his comfort zone to be there by her side. Bash was a growly MMC at times, but more often than not it was his heart that would shine through in how much he cared for Olive. The two just wanted what was best for each other and it was so beautiful seeing them manage it.
This book was a sweet, fluffy ride. I loved the magical elements and supernatural characters. Overall I'm happy I got to read this and it makes me want all the more witchy reads.

This was such a fun, magical rom-com! Not Your Crush’s Cauldron follows Olive Maxwell, a powerful yet reluctant witch who prefers logic over love spells. She’s focused on proving herself as a serious academic in the supernatural world, but that becomes complicated when she’s paired up with her childhood crush, Bax Donovan, for a high-stakes magical competition. Bax is a charming, ruggedly handsome shifter who’s always had a soft spot for Olive, and their forced proximity brings out undeniable chemistry.
I loved the mix of humor, heart, and steamy romance in this book. Olive and Bax have fantastic banter, and their slow-burn romance kept me hooked. The magical elements were well woven into the story, making the world feel vibrant and fun without overshadowing the romance.

So good! Full of witchy shenanigans and hot romance. All of the O's!!! So glad Olive finally got her due!
Bookworm Professor Olive realizes that her life is boring and predictable when she overhears her colleagues make an offhand comment about her most recent assignment to her students... so she decides to join them in making a Docket List. The lists goal is to get the person out of their comfort zone by trying something they wouldnt normally do. Hesitant to start, her new roomate Guardian Angel Bax jumps in with both feet to keep her safe and to stick close to her. As they make their way through Olives List, Olive realizes that its not the where or how of the journey, its who you experience it with that makes all the difference.

This is my third April Asher novel, with the other two in the series being my other reads from her. I really enjoyed the Supernatural Singles series, and this book no different. It was a fun, light-hearted, and easy read. I did like the first two books a bit better. I think those two books were just a bit more my speed (I'm a sucker for a slow-burn enemies/rivals-to-lovers. Friends-to-lovers never draws me in quite as much. There's not as much slow burn or tension to me and this book ultimately fell into that realm. I felt that Olive and Bax were hitting 100 too quickly for my liking.
Overall this was a fun read. It didn't necessarily keep me on the edge of my seat, but it was a great read in between some heavier titles. It was a 3-star read for me, one that I liked, but didn't love.

This was cute little rom com. It’s the third in the Supernatural Singles series, but can definitely be read as a standalone. It was sweet with a good amount of steam!

I would describe this book as good but not great. The first two books felt like they had higher stakes than this one which drove the plot a bit better. Mind you this book is by no means bad I just didn't love is AS much. It's still a charming little romance and I would definitely read this author again.

3.5 stars
This is the third book in the series, but can be a standalone, which is how I read it.
Olive is a professor at a college and gives her students an assignment to live outside their comfort zones. Then she realizes she doesn’t live that way either so takes on the same assignment. Her roommate, a guardian angel, is tasked with keeping the normally calm and ordinary girl from doing crazy things.
Cute story, reads fast, and overall enjoyable. Very predictable. But not bad.

3.5/5 stars - Back for another one with our supernatural sisters, out of the 3 this did fall at the bottom of the barrel, still liked but just didn’t sweep me off my feet like the first two. Can’t love them all. Paranormal romance is my jam so I always like quick read. This gave very quirky/nerdy “safe” type wanting to step out of the box and be a little careless & impulsive so Olive makes a list and we watch it unfold. Very easy read with some spice and a hot guardian angel. Def recommend this read and this whole series!

I did not finish this book. Unfortunately I could not connect with the characters. The pacing was a bit off for me as well.

Perfect read that will pair well nicely with a warm blanket and bowl of popcorn. Fans of the Tv Show: CHARMED will enjoy these characters.
A cute supernatural paranormal romance. This is book 3 in the Supernatural Singles series. In this book your following Olive. This series gave me some serious CHARMED vibes. I adored it. Especially with this book . Hello the gaurdian angel and a witch... Perfect.
Its the perfect fall witchy read in my opinion. You fall into the story quickly and the characters have enough depth to capture your attention with out making this a heavy read. It was fun and cute . Its easy to gobble up. If you haven't read this series and are thinking about it. Go for it. I think you will be pleasantly surprised how this book just brings a smile to your face.

Witchy reads are one of my go-to romcom types, and this story fits so many things I love.
Diving out of her comfort zone, Olive accepts the challenge she posed to her students - say as I do.
But what happens when the badest guardian angel around is then forced to jump out of his comfort zone as he is protecting you, from yourself?
What better way to watch two opposites come together!

Unfortunately not for me, the books were a little repetitive as the series went on, but I''ll still definitely pick up new books by this author in the future!

DNF 52% in. Thank you to St. Martin's Griffin and Dreamscape media for the arc and alc.
I really liked the first two books in this series but for some reason I found this third one very boring. I had been slowly listening too it but yesterday I listened again for the first time in a while and I couldn't care less about these characters. I could tell where the conflict was going and it felt superficial to me. I was overall bored and I accepted that this one didn't work for me.

I was looking forward to this book since the pairing was teased in the first book. It was quite enjoyable. I enjoyed the romance between the characters and the plot of the book

I loved this one! Olive and Baxter are such a lovable characters and this is so well written. I really enjoyed witnessing Olive find her true love.
The plethora or magical beings in this is epic. Angels, Vampires, Witches, Gargoyles, Shape Shifters and even a Succubus! All the secondary characters are like one and the story really has a wonderful flow. I was not disappointed with this one.
Even though this is a stand alone - I highly recommend you reading from book 1. It will be a much smoother experience. Thank Netgalley for this one! 5 stars from this picky reader!!!
