I received an eARC for my honest opinion.
This is the third book of the series Supernatural Singles, they can be read as a standalone, but really should be read all together. The books are so much fun, I loved the humor, the emotions, the love and of course all the stupid dumb things we do when people fall in love.
This book is about Olive Maxwell and Bax Donovan, one is a powerful witch, and the other is a sexy guardian angel. I really enjoyed this plot and thought it was well developed, the pace was fast and easy to read. I really didn’t want it to end. I loved that in this book you will see Olive step out of her comfort zone and do the homework assignment that she handed out to her students as well. You will get to watch her add things onto her list that she would have done but would love to try. Bax is a guardian angel that is madly in love with Olive and will do anything to make sure that she is safe. He even steps out of his comfort zone to help her with her list, and he finds himself loving every moment of it.
These characters and even the side characters were so easy to like, and I even found myself a little bit like Olive, I am always encouraging my friends and family to try new things, but I find myself having a hard time doing it unless I have someone in my corner with me. I love how strong she is, but at the same time you can see her insecurities. I thought the two main characters worked well together and you can even feel the chemistry in them, and when they finally kissed, I was so happy for them because I knew what that meant for both. I used to really hate miscommunication tropes but, in this book, and how well the author wrote it, I knew that it would be done in the right way, and I was not wrong.
I loved the banter between all the characters in her series, but I really love Harper. She is the best sex demon, and she made this book and the others so much fun. I really hope to see a book about her.
I do have a few questions that were not answered but I have my theories on why Bax was given the job of being Olive guardian angel and why was it she needed one???
This is a fun, cute, paranormal romcom, with great banter, filled with supernatural characters you will love.
I want to thank NetGalley and St. Martin Press for the opportunity to review this book.

This book was everything I loved about the other two Maxwell sisters’ stories… they are absolute messes but their found family pulls them through! The writing is still that same quirky, fun, and steamy I devoured in the first two books. My biggest hang up with this one was that I felt from the other books we should have been further along in Olive and Bax’s story and that made the slow burn in this book a little too long and I did struggle to keep focused for a portion. The ending brought it back to the Maxwells I loved though!

Now I love Not Your Exes Hexes which is the second book in the series. But I LOVED Not Your Crush’s Cauldron even more.
Olive is officially my favorite sister of the Maxwell sisters.
She has a personality that I resonate with and to me is very likable. Even though she is considered predictable by wearing old underwear on weekdays, she stepped out of her comfort zone to be an example to her students. Doing wild things such as aerial acrobats and getting an impressively large tattoo.
She didn’t do it alone. She did it with none other than Baxter AKA Bax. A guardian angel who has secretly been assigned to her to make sure she is not going too wild. Even though she is an assignment, he can’t help but really enjoy spending time with her.
The chemistry between our two main characters is amazing. From the get-go they are obviously meant to be together. For one thing, they have been friends for a very long time. Then roommates. And now really falling for each other as Olive crosses off tasks from her Docket list that gets her out of her comfort zone.
I love how Bax has a backstory as well. He is not really happy being a guardian angel and has passions to be a tattoo artist. But because of the expectations of his father, he does the job he is told to do. So you see him go on his journey to figure out what is important to him at the end of the day.
I was holding my breath when it came to the miscommunication trope part of this story. Slightly rolling my eyes on how that part of the story was unfolding. But I love how in the dialogue between the sisters that it was addressed of falling into bad communication. But through the help of Olive’s sister she was about to work through it like an adult and fought for what she wanted.
The only thing that I wish that this book dived into was the guardian angel aspect of it. What was the real reason that Bax was assigned to Olive? What exactly did Olive do or was going to do to trigger that? And as Bax as the guardian angel, what exactly is he supposed to do to guard her? Because he didn’t exactly stop Olive from doing anything. He actually went along with whatever she did. I wanted more explanation to that part of the story.
I love Harper in this. Oh my goodness, the sex demon added so much fun to the story. Her humor and fun personality is so fun and entertaining that I hope to see a book for her. Please…oh please!
This is a cute friends to lovers story that had me smiling a lot while reading this and can’t wait for another April Asher book.

This witchy romcom series is so fun!
This is a book 3!
In this one we follow the last of the triplet sisters-Olive. She just moved in with the guardian angel Bax after her last roommate situation ended horribly. Olive is the youngest department head at her college and is working on a grant proposal, at the same time assigns her students a project to get themselves out of their comfort zones and she decides it’s a great time to join this challenge. When Olive makes her Dare I Docket, Bax is then assigned as her guardian angel. With three rules-don’t let them die, don’t let them know you are guarding them and don’t fall in love with them…
This was maybe my favorite in the series. I love a list of things a main character is going to do to challenge themselves. It’s a very fun trope along with forced proximity! It was lovely. The tension and mutual pining was great. The conflict was a little silly or just not as believable as it could have been. But overall enjoyable.
I hope we get an honorary sister book with Harper as the lead. 🤞
Thanks to NetGalley and St Martin’s Press for an eARC.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and St. Martin's Press / Dreamscape Media for the gifted e-book/audiobook ❤️ #gifted. My review is comprised of my honest thoughts.
Read if you like: Close proximity, forbidden love, witchy reads
I loved this, not quite as much as the previous two, but still. I have the audiobook and ebook. Both were great. Olive and Bax have so much chemistry right off the bat. Wow. I love April's writing. The characters don't have the deepest backstories, but I can never look away. They are funny, engaging, and I always root for them. I highly recommend this! I have loved this whole series.

Our very last triplet witch is still unattached in the romance department in NOT YOUR CRUSH’S CAULDRON and she is forced by her sisters to relocate in the hopes of gaining a social life. Luckily, or perhaps, unluckily enough, her new roommate is her Guardian Angel, a hunk she has a huge crush on and who, interestingly enough, has very fond feelings for her as well. How will these two supernaturals handle there somewhat-natural feelings? Not as well as they might have hoped. But definitely in an entertaining fashion for readers who have enjoyed the previous two books. I received my copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

In April Asher’s next Supernatural Singles novel, Not Your Crush's Cauldron, a buttoned-up witch takes a stroll on the wildish side, sparking an alert that lands her a familiar Guardian Angel.
I enjoyed the first two books in this series and was excited to see what happened in the third book! I felt I related to Olive, being a more introverted main character. Her dare docket is something I needed in life! We follow her challenging herself to get comfortable with the uncomfortable. Bax is the swoon-worthy bad boy guardian angel with a soft spot for Olive. Romance tropes include forced proximity and opposites attract. I thought they were played out well. That being said, I had a hard time staying connected to this book. I found myself skimming a lot.
Thanks to the publisher for the ARC in return for an honest review. This book releases 2/13!

Cute next installment following witch Olive and guardian angel Bax. It held my attention but didn't GRAB me. Olive tries to expand her comfort zone while Bax is trying to stay between the lines. Predictable but fun.

I loved the first 2 books in the Supernatural Singles series! And this third Installment, Not Your Crush's Cauldron was just as fun and magical! I did feel like this one started a little bit slower and didn't feel as high stakes with conflict setup as the previous 2 books, however, I loved Olive and Bax together. I lved that there was a "softness" to Bax and he wasn't all hard edges outside and inside. Their chemistry was fun to watch grow on the page! What I love most about this book is how much we get of the friend group; and of the other two Maxwell sisters being that Bad-Ass Bwitch selves! April Asher has created such a wonderful contemporary fantasy world and I love being immersed in it!

This is the third in the Supernatural Singles series. I love the strong female characters and the friend dynamics. It is a fun read with magic, guardian angels, danger, and some daddy drama.

This is book #3 in a series, I didn't know that at first but I'm glad I read the other two first. This could be a standalone though, the other two are connected but do not need to be read beforehand. For me, Olive & Bax have amazing chemistry following a slow build up. It was an okay addition to the series but I felt it lacked the drama and almost suspenseful feelings that the 1st two had.

I soooo wanted to love this, it was one of my first requests after discovering my newfound love of these cutesy paranormal but I just could not get into this. I gave it a really valiant effort, but too much piercing fixation, not enough actual likablity from the fmc. MMC was fine but throw in the 3rd person pov and I was just completely checked out.
Also, no one from NY calls it “the” sunrise highway. It’s just sunrise highway. Or sunrise.

A guardian angel who gives her the nickname Angel. Stop being so cute. I loved reading this book, it was cute, it was fun and lighthearted. Bax and Olive are supportive of each other, he gave her his room because it had a balcony and he thought she would love to read and put a little table there. Very entertaining forced proximity.

I enjoyed this book it was a light-hearted read with a lot of humor, romance, and supernatural. Olive, is a sweet and nerdy heroine with a hidden wild side. Bax is a charming and sexy hero, who likes Olive . Their chemistry was sizzling and their banter was hilarious. The story is fast-paced and engaging, with some twists and surprises.
This is the third in this series but can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading the previous books in the series as well, as it will give you some background into the sisters and some love interest
Overall, Not Your Crush's Cauldron by April Asher is a delightful and satisfying paranormal romance that will make you laugh. If you are looking for a fun and easy read with a touch of magic, this book is for you.

Thank you to SMP Romance for the advanced reader copy. These opinions are my own.
Olive is the third triplet in the Supernatural Singles series. She is the academic with a routinized wardrobe. And when she challenges her students to step out of their comfort zone, she realizes she needs to do the same. Bax, her friend turned roommate, offers to help her complete her list of dares. But he doesn't tell her that he has other reasons to keep her close.
I am so glad to see Olive and Bax finally getting together. His character is amazing, playing up the tension between tattooed bad boy and guardian angel so well. And his fear of heights just adds to their interactions. I loved the way the two of them challenged each other and pushed each other throughout.
And of course, Olive's interactions with her sisters and grandmother are amazing. Those triplet stories have been what has given this series heart throughout, and I love getting to see them all together again. Add in magic, a great world, and some of my favorite tropes, and this was a really fun read.

Again, it was the title that caught my eye on Netgalley. Having read (and enjoyed) Not your Ex's Hexes, I decided to request the arc for the last of the Maxwell sisters.
As you may already know: the series is about the Maxwell sisters, witches who live in New York. In this part we follow Olive, whereas Violet and Rose have gotten her HEA in Not The Witch You Wed and Not your Ex's Hexes.
I was already curious about Bax's story, so I was very happy to see that he would be starring in this story. Of course, also Edie (the grandmother and Prima, who is stepping down in favour of Violet) and Olive's sisters (with their boyfriends) make an appearance in this part as well. Edie is still the most funny character, but I also loved Olive's BFF.
The story of Olive and Bax, is cute, funny and sweet. So, four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Being back with the Maxwell sisters in their magical world is simply a treat. Sparks are flying between Bax and Olive, and to say things get spicy would be an understatement. The characters in this series are fun, sassy, smart, and loyal to each other. I have enjoyed every book so far and hope Harper's story is coming soon.

I will share my true thoughts on this book at whatever time St Martins Press decides to address the three demands of the boycott from Readers for Accountability.

I was excited to read the next installment in April's Supernatural Singles series. While the first two books were complete bangers. This one just didn't grab hold of me as hard as the others did. That's not to say that I didn't like it. I still rated it 4 stars.
I love Olive and her academic self. I also really liked Bax's motorcycle riding guardian angel personality. The forced proximity with them being roommates and also Olive becoming his "assignment" gave the story interesting elements. Both characters are going through real life mortal problems and that makes the plot relatable. They're trying to find themselves, try new things, and work on confidence in their own ways.
I enjoyed seeing cameos from Olive's sisters and their guys. I also loved the side plot involving the grandmother. Overall it was still really cute.

This is the third book in this series following the last of the Baxter triplets. I loved the other two books in this series and was excited to finally get Olive's book! I absolutely vibed and connected with her the most out of the sisters and loved the way she is not only with her friends and family but also with her students and how she goes about tiptoeing out of her comfort zone. Baxter is like sex on a stick but also so nice and sweet! I think he is the perfect package, and he and Olive make an amazing couple. This book was fun, full of emotion, and also had me laughing out loud and swooning at the adorable and sexy moments between our couple.
I look forward to reading what April Asher comes out with next! I hope we get more from this world as I'm not quite ready to leave this magical place behind!
