I have read this series since it’s beginning and with each sisters book I fall more in love with this world. I am hoping that this isn’t the last of it because through each book we meet more amazing characters and I just don’t want it to end!

Olive is the “youngest” triplet and also the more reserved one. She’s happiest when she’s surrounded by all things collegiate, or so we thought! As part of a push to get a grant Olive finds herself pushing her boundaries and going out of her comfort zone. With her new found Lust for all things wild her best friend and roomie Bax has no choice but to tag along to make sure she doesn’t go too far over the line!!

I love that Bax is this big burly angel and yet he’s scared of so much. He’s a lot softer than he looks and he only reserves that softness for Olive! These two just fit!! I loved their chemistry and just how well they made sense! The way Bax tends to Olive and cares for her is just mesmerizing. Olives ability to read Bax and call him on his BS is hilarious because no one keeps him on his toes more than her!

The steam in this book took a bit to come but when it did, it’s explosive and will have you fanning yourself!!

What I loved about this book the most was the continuation of a small storyline and seeing the sisters come full circle! Seeing them grow through the books and find love and themselves has been magical and I hope to see them again!

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Another fun installment of the Maxwell sisters! I think I enjoyed the first two a little more than this one but it might just be that this is a busy, distracting, time of year for me. There was still plenty of banter, fun puns, and spicy scenes. It's nice that we still get to see a little of the other two sisters as well and how their lives are progressing. And honestly, Gran is just the coolest.

This may not come out for a little while but there are two others out to pick up and read first!

Olive finally gets her time to shine in this spicy supernatural romcom by April Asher. The first two novels took us through the lives of 2/3 of the witchy Maxwell triplets and I L-O-V-E-D each and every page of the entire series...this far?? Professor Olive Maxwell may be the youngest sister but this friends to roommates to lovers, not so forced proximity romance and my heart continuously skipping a beat.

I really hope this is not the end for Supernatural Singles!! Please oh please give us Harper next --> our lil sex demon needs some loving from one or more partners

Thank you eternally for an ARC 😍🪄🧙🏻‍♀️

This book s a delightful, and witty paranormal romance that is both heartwarming and full of laughter! This friends to lovers romance along with some magic and some laughs makes for a wonderful story. I really enjoyed Olive’s character growth - I thought it was done really well and Bax was a perfect fit for her. I also loved the fact that both had "unrequited" crushed on each other and were trying to find a way to cohabitate with each other and be friends with one another in an attempt not to ruin everything that they already have with each other.
This was a great follow up to the series and I would recommend it to anyone who asks!

The third book in the Supernatural Singles series was another winner. April Asher has rekindled my love of magical romcoms, and I’m hoping there is at least one more book left in the series after this one… maybe two???

We met Olive and Bax in the previous two books, and I knew their story would be good. Friends to lovers with a twist. A roommate romance between a witch and an angel.

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for Not Your Crush’s Cauldron to come out February 13, 2024.

I was excited to get a ARC of this book as I have read the other two in the series and was not disappointed by Olive and Bax’s story. It was no surprise that these two were the next heroes of the storyline for the Maxwell Sisters. I didn’t know what to think of olive in the other books. I usually seem to have issues with some of the side characters and finding a connection with them. I was a little worried with bookish Olive, and how I would identify or connect with them. However, the challenge the Olive took on to ensure that she was stepping outside of your comfort zone was one that I really appreciated and helped me ground into liking the character. The author does really good job of setting up the backstory for Bax as well. He was our mysterious angel, and not knowing how his storyline was going to fit in was intriguing. This book can be read as a standalone, but more enjoyable, as part of the Maxwell story.

Note to editor I did find quite a few mistakes that I highlighted in the text. I’m sure if you’re able to see what people highlight with NetGalley. Here’s a quick list to explore.

CH 17 Pg 210
‘when did approach you? And Where?
Bax talking to Olive about Bax’s Father. Missing | he or my father| after When did.

Ch 18 Pg 213
Figured behind on hand…. Should this be ‘figured BEING on hand… instead?

Ch 19 pg 222
The numbers were trouble. 1. 1. In the list. All 10 were double, but sure if a NetGalley issue or digital overall issue.

Not Your Crush's Cauldron by April Asher is a delightful, and witty paranormal romance that is both heartwarming and full of laughter! This friends to lovers romance along with some magic and some laughs makes for a wonderful story. I really enjoyed Olive’s character growth - I thought it was done really well and Bax was a perfect fit for her. Them secretly crushing on each other gave me all the warm and fuzzies.
This really could have been a 5 star read for me if some of the writing wasn’t so very corny! I liked the main characters and the overall story, but moments that could have been delightful smut were ruined with corny lines and nicknames. Also, a male protagonist calling the female lead “angel” all the time annoyed me (especially because he's a literal angel and it kept confusing me).
But, overall, if you love a fun romcom set in a world where supernatural beings and normal people reside together, then you're going to love this one. Every now and then you need a good paranormal romance to mix things up a bit and this romance did just that!

This is the third installment in the Supernaturnal Singles series. Olive is the “youngest” triplet witch and on a journey to step out of her comfort zone. Bax, her Guaridan Angel roommate, offers to help her along the way.

This is a friends to lovers story with lots of good banter and found family. This one was cute but I still think Rose’s story is my favorite of the three. I hope to see a book for Harper in the near future.

Olive Maxwell's comfort zone has taken a hit lately: both of her sisters have found their true mates, and Olive has changed apartments, moving into a much nicer place thanks to sexy Guardian Angel Baxter Donovan. She has spent plenty of time ignoring the steamy fantasies he inspires, but a new assignment for her Supernatural Studies students to stretch beyond their comfort zones has her reconsidering her own. And Bax would definitely be a big stretch for her.

Bax knows he's not the greatest Guardian Angel, but he does try. Unfortunately, his latest imperfect save lands him before the GA commissioner, who hands him a last-chance assignment: protecting Olive. Bax has long resisted his attraction to the witch, and he knows that falling in love with an Assignment is a big no-no. But when Olive starts exploring the items on her Dare-It Docket, Bax knows he needs to stick close to her and protect her -- and his own heart.

I've really been enjoying this Supernatural Singles series, and the tension between Olive and Bax has been building up over two books, so it's a delight to discover more about them and to watch them find their HEA. Olive's the sensible, studious one of the Maxwell triplets, the bookish witch I totally relate to, and watching her take tentative steps toward challenging herself in new ways was such a treat. Bax's bad-boy image is, of course, a cover for a tender heart that completely belongs to Olive, so I enjoyed seeing him recognize his own feelings and make the effort to prove himself to her. Both of them have to learn what they want outside of family expectations, which makes their ending even better.

Another fun, fast-paced, and steamy story about some of my favorite supernaturals. (Will Harper get her story, too?) 4 stars.

Thank you, St Martin's and NetGalley, for providing an eARC of this book. Opinions expressed here are solely my own.

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Finished: 08/14/23

"Everyone has a spark of Magic, and when you follow it, there really is no possibility of straying from your true path."

The third book in the Supernatural Singles series, and it focuses on our last Maxwell sister, Olive. Moving in with a gorgeous tattooed Angel shouldn't be so bad, right? Unless you have been crushing on him since forever, and are worried he'll totally see right through your facade of being just a friend with your forced proximity.

I really enjoy the way Asher writes this series, and makes sure each book is totally different with the tropes and the storyline, so it doesn't feel like we are reading the same supernatural romance over and over again.

Olive is a professor who has chosen an assignment for her class to expand their horizons and try new things. But when she realizes she shouldn't make her class do this if she isn't willing to partake as well. Her Guardian Angel roommate decides to step in and assist her out of her comfort zones. Which makes this an uncomfortable situation since Bax has just been given a Guardian Angel assignment to Olive, and Rule #1 of their code: Don't tell your assignment that you are watching over them.

This is an entertaining series, with all of the sisters getting in crazy situations. It seems like we might get another one for our favorite BFF succubus, so I'll be keeping a lookout for another Supernatural Singles book in the future 😍

Love the Maxwell triplets! It was fun seeing Olive come out of her shell and also more of Bax. Some really funny moments having to do with stuff on Olives list which seems like something we should all try to do every once in a while. I love how this series follows one couple but has so many moments with all the other characters. I really hope we get Harper and Adrian's book!

The third book in the series. Love the first 2 books and this one is even funnier. Olive is the third triplet and she falls in love with Bax her guardian angel. Love their fun banter. The pop culture jokes are terrific. Always love seeing how supportive the sisters to each other. A really enjoyable fun book.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

Did I immediately drop all my reading plans to read this one? Yes, yes I did.

Zero regrets. Absolutely loved.

If you're a fan of the first two in the series, you're going to love this one. Bax is exactly the huge, smooshy, tattooed (and pierced [insert naughty wink]) cinnamon roll we all suspected him to be. And him and Olive are so cute together. I adored how supportive he was of her.

There is a bit of pining, the obligatory bump into each other while one is only wearing a towel scene, near kisses, and everything else that makes a friends to lovers/forced proximity romance so much fun. Just a quick, funny, spicy, and highly entertaining read.

I adored this book! This was a cute, fun, sweet read. I usually don’t go for friends-to-lovers trope, but this was a fun read. Bax was endearing. And call Olive angel?! 🫠 🥰 I recommend it for a fun light read with spice 🥵

What can I say about the third book to this cozy rom com? It’s perfect for the girlies who want alittle more alternative guys then what the first two love interest. I love Olive being a total nerd and just owning who she is by the end of the book. The Bax is a complete cinnamon roll himbo from cover to cover. It’s a definitely she fell first but he fell harder moment, I appreciate how the story goes in with the other two of the series. Definitely a good quick read that is the perfect cozy moment.

Thanks to netgalley and publisher for this arc!

I was so excited to finally get Baz's book and I'm hoping Adrian and Harper are next. So the great... I adoredddd Baz and Olive, they had love spice heat and funny banter! Baz is such a tatted up softie and Olive is a nerdy mess but at her age which is a year older than me she was a bit too naive and awkward in some ways it was borderline ridiculous and annoying.

What I didn't like was the whole plot it fell a bit flat sadly to me and even the inclusion of the sisters I loved felt semi annoying when I just wanted more Baz and Olive one on one time and growth, also the whole grandma plot was unnecessary and took up too much space in book. Also 300 pages is a bit too long for romance book and there were parts that could have been cut and would have helped book.

Another great read from April! This one was my fave out of the 3 witchy sisters! It was adorable. I loved the characters; they were extremely relatable, despite the fact that they were super natural... It was a fun, spicy read! Def recommend!!

I couldn’t put this book down. Not Your Crush’s Cauldron is the third book in the Supernatural Singles series. I have read all three books in the series and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. This book follows Olive Maxwell the youngest of the Maxwell triplets and Bax Donnovan. This book is released February 13, 2024. Thank you to St. Martin’s Press and April Asher for an opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book.

I loved this third installation of the Supernatural Singles series.

Olive is my favorite triplet and the one I connected with the most in the previous stories about her sisters. I was so glad that she got her own love story and, boy, did it deliver.

The super sexy piercings and STEAMY love scenes with Bax are worth the wait.

I enjoyed following Olive on all of her adventures to push herself out of her comfort zone. There were so many daring feats, from Dirty Dancing to aerial acrobatics.

Now the question is, will the series end with the triplets or will Harper be the lead in the next book in the series?

Not Your Crush’s Cauldron
4.5⭐
3🌶️

Overall this book is super cute, silly, and full of kick-your-feet-up and giggle moments. The stoic guardian angel and bookish Professor finally have their forced proximity face off. Incredibly cute, this fits the vibes of the rest of the series, and is a great addition. While technically this is a stand-alone, I wouldn't read it as such as it will be less impactful. At least one of the other books would be ideal. Not required, however it does make Olive and Bax’s story more sweet to witness and you just LOVE them from the start with that background. This installment had less witch magic but more “angel sightings” so I was okay with that! It definitely let this book feel like its own. I loved the additional underlying message of stepping out of your comfort zone and the joys and growth that can give. This is a universal message that complements the romance well.

Stand-out thoughts: Bax calling Olive “angel”. I nearly died, it was absolutely perfect! On page 10 when the nickname drop happens I knew I was hooked!

I feel that the tone of the book is light and a bit silly with crazy pop culture references. In my opinion, it can't be taken too seriously as it isn't that kind of book. Those looking for a gritty paranormal romance need to look elsewhere. This series is by far my favorite in the low fantasy paranormal romance group and I think Not Your Crush’s Cauldron lives up to what the series has done so far. I will definitely be purchasing it in print to add to the rest of the series. In the meantime where can I get my own alpha-ish guardian angel?
