This author never lets you down. This story is told is multiple POVs and as it unfolds, you are trying to figure out how they are all connected. As usual, she reveals it masterfully. Definitely recommend!

YEP, OBSESSED WITH THIS. I've read all of Alice Feeney's books and they are fun, twisty, and cleverly written. It took a second for me at first to get all of the storylines straight since they were seemingly unrelated, but by the time that was done I was so hooked into the story I could not stop. Like literally could not stop....I finished the last 80% in one sitting because I physically could not put it down. Her plots are so fun and twisty at the time, but when you finish and look back they are so intricately woven and I can not get enough.

If you've enjoyed her books in the past definitely do yourself a favor and preorder this one! Thank you so much NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for my review copy.

Twenty years ago a baby is stolen... Twenty years later, the lives of four women come crashing together. Edith has been sent to a nursing home by her daughter, Clio. Patience works at the home and seems to be Edith's only friend... but she has been lying. After a murder occurs in the nursing home, all of these people are a suspect. Follow along with the twists and turns to see how all of these connections come together.

I am a HUGE Alice Feeney fan. I have yet to read one of her books and guess the ending before I got there. This one is no exception. I enjoyed this one, but didn't love it. It wasn't the writing style or lack of plot (there were so many things I didn't see coming). My issue is this... I didn't like ANY of these women - lol. All of them had issues and got on my nerves. I'm not going to go farther into the plot as this is better if you just pick it up and go in blind. However, if you are an Alice Feeney fan or love a good Mystery/Intrigue book, this one is for you. I gave it a 3.5 out of 5. Since I was given a copy of the audio, I will add that the narrators of Katherine Press and Stephanie Racine were great.

Thanks to Macmillan Audio and Netgalley for providing me a copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to listen to this audiobook. First off, the narrators were both great and very easy to listen to. They changed up either their tone or accent when needed for different characters and for the most part, it was easy to tell when it was a new character speaking. I think the story was intriguing and the plot was well laid out. The author did an excellent job of keeping me guessing and I think this story would be equally as strong as a physical read and as an audiobook. I think both formats would be just as enjoyable. The story bounces a bit back and forth from present day to Mother's Day, twenty years earlier and also bounces from different characters' perspectives throughout the story, but it is not confusing and helps to slowly unravel the mystery, the secrets and the very well placed plot twists! There were some big surprise reveals just when I thought I had it all straight. Especially near the end! I'll look forward to more by this author and by these narrators in the future.

This book really got me hooked - the story line, the multiple point of views, and trying to figure out the characters and how they were related - everything I look for in a good thriller! I really enjoyed this book and like the way it ended.

Alice Feeney does it again. Although this time, she does it differently. This story is completely different from her others, in my opinion, but no less enjoyable. It is much more domestic drama/suspense than thriller, but I loved it. I felt connected to the characters and really enjoyed the mystery at the center of the story. I felt so satisfied with the ending after reading. Alice Feeney can do no wrong in my eyes! The narrators also do an incredible job. I can't wait to read what Alice Feeney has coming out next.

I am SO LATE to the club reviewing this! I love, love, Alice Feeney - her novel Rock Paper Scissors is, in my opinion, one of the finest and twistiest thrillers of the last few years and I will ready anything and everything she writes. I love her novels, in particular, in audiobook format, as read by the exquisite Stephanie Racine. Good Bad Girl, her latest, was no exception. I enjoyed the female-centric plot here and, true to form, the twists as the story went on left me completely AGOG. Once again Ms. Feeney delivers a sharp mystery and Ms. Racine absolutely nails the reading the the audiobook with her beautiful voice, accent and expert delivery. Five stars!!!

Whenever I read an Alice Feeney book, I know that I am in for a good, twisty ending. Good Bad Girl was no exception. The book, which is told from multiple POVs, is more of a domestic suspense than a cut-and-dry thriller. While there is a murder investigation, it does take a back seat to the drama surrounding the main characters. Personally, I prefer a domestic thriller, but others may be disappointed.

Good Bad Girl is a case study on people doing bad things for good reasons. The different POVs were hard to keep up with at first, but as we learned more about the motivations of each character, it became easier to follow. The book keeps you guessing until the end and comes together in a satisfying way.

Thanks to NetGalley and MacMillan Audio for allowing me to listen to this book before publication in exchange for my honest review.

I now understand all the Alice Feeney buzz. Wow! The very first chapter grabs you right away, told in first person, with the abduction of a baby from a supermarket cart. Fast forward 20 years the murder of a nursing home supervisor, with three potential suspects: an elderly woman (former store detective, thank you very much), her daughter, and a young woman who goes by the name Patience, who just happened to get herself fired from the nursing home. All three of these women are connected in one way or another, and the inspector is sure that one of them is responsible, but who and how will leave you guessing. A few twists I saw coming, but there were some that came from out of the blue. All of the characters are wonderfully fleshed out and interesting, and it's near impossible to stop reading once you've started.

Thank you to the author, MacMillan, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a fair review. Highly recommend.

4.5 rounded up to 5!

Okay, okay , okay ! I loved this ! My high rating streak for all of Alice Feeney's books continue! I just love the way her stories are told, short and cliffhanger chapters and twists at the end that you never see coming! I think I've previously called her the master of twists and I still stand true to that!

In 'Good Bad Girl' the story starts right away with a baby that was abducted and as the reader we are constantly guessing who took the baby, who's the baby's real mother, and who even is the baby! Most of my predictions were correct but then Feeney and her twist mastery strikes again and throws in a twist near the end that I definitely didn't see coming and it actually worked out so well!

The only thing that prevents this one from being a solid 5 star for me is the whole murder mystery side story that is written, just didn't really feel pertinent to the main storyline and felt kind of random, but oh well - still a hit for me!

Alice Feeney's "Good Bad Girl" left me wanting more from its character development. Unfortunately, the characters fell short of being truly convincing, making it challenging for me to fully invest in the story. The lack of distinct voices for the characters, except for one, was a notable drawback. This homogeneity flattened the narrative, and I found myself yearning for more depth and diversity in their portrayal.

While the book did address significant themes like post-partum depression and child abduction, it struggled to maintain a gripping narrative. The promised thriller element seemed to take a back seat to a more predominant family drama, which failed to capture my attention.

I listened to the audiobook of Good Bad Girl and I really like the story and narration. This is my third book by Alice Feeney and is my 2nd favorite. This book is told from multiple point of views and had several twists. One of the major ones at the end was totally unexpected. I definitely recommend if you have read and liked her stories before or if you are new but like mystery/thriller stories!

Alice Feeney has done it again. This was fantastic. This was another fast-paced thriller that kept me guessing until the very end. I think one of my favorite things about Alice Feeney's books is just how many twists and surprises she throws at you. Even if you think you have figured something out...she will come right back with a twist you weren't expecting. I enjoyed the narrator, the pacing, the different character viewpoints. It was all just so well done. Would definitely recommend!

Alice Feeney takes readers on a journey of four women, all who are good but have done some bad deeds:

Everyone has secrets, everyone lies every once in a while, thinking that they had done something for the greater good. But what happens when what you think is right turns out to wrong. Edith is currently living in a nursing home, where she doesn’t want to be, she hates her daughter Clio for putting her there and her nurse Patience is the only individual she now trusts. Patience has been lying to Edith since day one, and part of that is that she has ran away from her mother Freddie for the lies that she has been told. All the women have things they regret, all have secrets and lies that they want to remain hidden, but they are all about to be thrust together in a mystery that spans over 20 years.

I am finding that Feeney is hit or miss for me and I think that the miss part is when she goes more to the domestic suspense side of things, instead of the murder side of things. I am not going to Lie I was boarded for probably 70% of the this book. It was much more about how the people were connected to eat other, which was interesting in a way, but I was able to figure out most of that early on. With this mainly figured out, I wanted to know more about the murder investigation and it seemed odd to me that this investigation was a side point/secondary aspect in the novel. Like why would a murder investigation be left off to the periphery of the plot. I mean this is where the interest really lies as to who killed Joy and Why. And while we do get the answer of this in the end it's just a bit rushed is all.

I think this suffered from a few too many POV as there are four and each one seems to get as much airtime as the last one and all of them in their win way are similar to the last one. I think the only one that was truly interesting was Edith's, with her sharp whit and being from a different generation from the other three characters.

I wasn’t expecting this book to be a domestic suspense one, I wanted it to be the twisty thriller that the premise promised to me. While there are some interesting events that happen in this book, the plot never really focused on the most interesting part. I will read another book by Feeney, i would just try to discern if the book is more murder than domestic.

Cheers!!!!

I absolutely Loveee Alice Feeney and all of her books so far! This was no different! This was a slow burn domestic thriller and it sucked me in. I could not stop listening to it and finished it in a day! Like all of Alice Feeney's books this one really got the gears turning on a lot of societal issues. The book kept me reeling on what was going on and who was to blame and it never lost my interest. There were multiple twists that just added on to the next one so if you dont like that just keep it in mind when you go into the book. It definitely made the book more complex. Loved the book, Loved the story, the characters, and the writing. 10/10 recommend this book!

Thank you netgalley for the arc!
