This is not one of my favorite Sierra Simone stories. I didn’t finish it. DNF @ 23%
I can’t even put my finger exactly on what I didn’t enjoy about this one but it just wasn’t for me.
I have never read a book by Sierra Simone before but this will not be my last. I am a sucker for a Tristan and Isolde retelling and this is a interesting and unique take on the story.
10/10 this book is fire! The smut, the wittiness, the everything. If you have never read a Sierra Simone book you are seriously missing out on a true gift. I am not normally a girl who reads MMF but let me tell you I absolutely devoured this book in one sitting.
I DNF’d this one ages ago but someone on bookstagram told me it would be worth it to finish. It wasn’t. It starts out with the bodyguard working for a sex club owner and falling in love. This was all good but I didn’t feel any connection between the two of them. Even the smutty scenes felt forced because that connection was literally not there at all. Theeennnn.. the bodyguard is supposed to go get the owners fiancé and will be on a boat with her for a few weeks and then he ends up falling in love with her! Then it ends on a cliffhanger and I could not care less to read the next book.
This book has had me in a chokehold. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since I started reading it. I have been telling everyone who would listen about this book as I've gone along and tried to pace myself through the last half so that it wouldn't end. But all good things, sadly, do end. And yet this book is still killing me. It's basically my Roman Empire at this point and I don't see that changing any time soon. It's consumed my thoughts, my soul, and I've got the ridiculous feeling that it's only going to cut more of me up when I read the next book. Which I will be starting right now. 10 million stars out of 10. I can't rate this book more highly for anyone interested in MMF romance, kink, and tumultuous relationships. Just end me where I stand because I'm not going to recover.
Set in the same universe as New Chamelot, but you don't need to re-read to appreciate Salt Kiss. Sierra Simone is amazing at writing MFM smutty books with powerful men who love to control how and when they give orgasms.
Salt Kiss by Sierra Simone is a scorching read that left me completely captivated. This book is an absolute page-turner, brimming with intensity and passion that had me feeling flushed from start to finish. Simone’s writing is nothing short of perfection, bringing characters Mark, Tristan, and Isolde to life in a way that is both enthralling and unforgettable.
The chemistry between the characters is electric, and Simone’s descriptive prose vividly enhances their interactions, making each moment incredibly engaging. I found myself blushing at the sheer intensity of the scenes, which are masterfully crafted to evoke strong emotions.
If you’re looking for a read that will leave you craving more, Salt Kiss is an essential pick. I can't wait to see what Sierra Simone has in store next for these characters!
Salt Kiss by Sierra Simone is a captivating and steamy romance that keeps you hooked from the first page. It follows the intense connection between Tristan and Isabel as they navigate their tumultuous relationship. The book is filled with passionate moments, deep emotions, and complex characters. Simone's writing is vivid and evocative, making the story come alive. This novel is perfect for readers who enjoy a blend of romance, drama, and a bit of mystery.
I read the prequel, "Salt in the Wound," and couldn't stand it - skinny rich white girl who wants to be spanked...for Jesus? After that experience, I put off reading "Salt Kiss" forever. It turns out that "Salt Kiss" is significantly more engaging. It's kinky but is missing the emotion that would make it hot.
I love Tristan and Mark is interesting, but as soon as Isolde was back on the scene I was bored. She was more likable in this story, I think because we don't know anything about her if we ignore the prequel, but still seems like such a waste of a character.
I'm intrigued by the overall storyline and of course "Salt Kiss" ends on a cliffhanger, but I can't stand the idea of reading a full-length book from Isolde's sanctimonious perspective.
Thank you to NetGalley & the publisher for providing an eARC for review.
5++ Stars!
Absolutely excellent. Basically, books like this are the reason I read. I loved it. Sierra Simone's writing is like the finest wine. Seductive and addictive. I cannot wait to see what awaits for Mark, Tristan, and Isolde. Sierra webs a story filled with intriguing characters, an excellent plot, and culture and history. Absolute perfection.
Do not sit on this series! A masterpiece!!
The beginning was a little bit slow to get into but once the spice kicked in I was in a chokehold! I wasn’t sure about the MMF trope but this was a great book to start exploring that trope. The smut in this book was hot hot hot, I’m looking forward to seeing how things play out between this trouple!
This was steamy, spicy, and everything in between. I wasn't the biggest fan of the New Camelot series by this author, but this one absolutely hooked me from the beginning. It had so much intrigue, tension, and overall wild plot line that I was never bored. The romance was woven in so well and this was a great story from beginning to end.
In true Sierra Simone fashion, Salt Kiss is a spicy dark romance that will leave you breathless! You will be rooting for the main characters, and hating them at the same time.
3.5 stars
Okay, first off... the smut was SO HOT in this book. 10/10.
But that's *all* this book is... There really isn't a plot outside of Tristan falling in love with his boss, then turning around and falling for his fiancee. There's an underlying element of cheating in this book which I didn't love, but I imagine that will be dealt with in the second book.
I'll definitely still continue on, but it wasn't an automatic win for me.
Damn this book was hot & one of the spiciest books I’ve read in a whileeeeee…
Tristan’s breeding kink vibes were something special 🤭 goddamn that man is hot.
So pretty much two virgins capture the attention of Mark Trevena, a sexy older man & owner of a sex club that’s filled with secrets. One is his bodyguard and the other is his future wife. Both have their own kinks & desires, but Jesus everyone is so hot in their own ways. Lord have mercy I don’t think im ready for book two eeeeeek.
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
I love Sierra Simone's books and this book is no exception. While I do not think that Sierra Simone is great at making a plot make a lot of sense in a book, she excels at character building and creating a believable romance, which she did in this book. I cannot wait for the second one come out.
If Sierra writes it, I’m going to read it! I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it! I can’t wait for the next book in the series too
Salt Kiss was something i was really excited about when I heard it's coming out! As someone who has enjoyed Sierra's works in the past, this didn't dissappoint! If you're someone who loved queer romance with steam and spice, this is a book that's perfect for you!
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this eARC in exchange for an honest reviews. All opinions are my own.
I have never been disappointed by anything Sierra Simone puts out. Her writing style and character development are top notch.
I LOVED this book and I cannot wait for honey cut to release!
I think this will be a unique series and I loved the couple mentions of Ash so far :)
