Thank you so much to NetGalley and Sourcebooks for an advanced eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I almost wanted to not like this book. After reading the prequel I was pretty sure this series wasn't for me. There was a little too much religion focus for me, the premise seemed ridiculous. (miss girl has to marry/bang a guy for... Jesus? huh. what.) but I am so pleased to report that this was not the case. I cannot get enough of this book. As soon as I put it down I picked it back up to reread some scenes. Sierra Simone knows how to bring the smut. That's a given. But I think the magic of a Sierra Simone novel is that they also pack a gut punch/heartache component. This book built up these two relationships in a way that is making me angsty to not have the next book. I need more! I need their HEA already. This book has so many great components. Some strong kink, body guard, billionaire, marriage of convenience.

This series is going to be a powerhouse!

Sierra Simone's 'Salt Kiss' flawlessly blends sexuality and story. Simone is unequaled in writing 'profoundly sexual smut' set amid DC politics, secret agencies, and high society kink. Mark, Isolde, and Tristan are complicated characters with moral uncertainty, passion, and sensitivity. Simone succeeds at constructing morally depraved, yet alluring individuals and their complex relationships. She elevates erotica to a spiritual reading experience. The book's intriguing premise and intense chemistry make it worth reading despite minor pacing flaws. The cliffhanger ends this tantalizing series, leaving readers anxious for the next volume.

Sierra Simone's "Salt Kiss" has made a lasting impression on me with its captivating and dark narrative. The transformation of Tristan from soldier to protector, as he grapples with PTSD and searches for purpose, is depicted with a raw intensity that is deeply felt. Simone skillfully delves into his inner turmoil and the conflict between duty and desire. The book delves into the forbidden love theme through Tristan's intricate relationships with Mark and Isolde, each adding emotional depth to the story. Rather than concluding abruptly, the novel lingers on the brink of an emotional abyss, hinting at a turbulent journey ahead. Simone's writing is a complex tapestry of emotion and mystery, with each character intricately crafted to enthrall and captivate. "Salt Kiss" is an exploration of the human experience through the prism of myth and magic.

SIERRA NEVER DISAPPOINTS!!!!

I have so many thoughts but very little words. This book was spectacular. Tristan and Mark were jaw droppingly hot! I am so excited for this series and cannot explain my love for them. I’m looking forward to getting to read more about Isolde in the upcoming books. Other than that I cannot recommend this enough. Sierra can truly write spectacular books!

Thank you Bloom Books for the Arc

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing this eARC of Salt Kiss.
I am deeply in love with this steamy and ultra-hot story. I literally couldn't get enough of it. The character dynamics were phenomenal. And I can't wait to see all three of them in action. I need the second book now.

The allure of forbidden love is explored through Tristan's complex relationships with Mark and Isolde, each bringing a different emotional depth to the story.
This novel doesn't just end; it lingers on the cusp of an emotional chasm, promising a tumultuous journey ahead. Simone's writing is a labyrinth of emotion and intrigue, with each character intricately designed to captivate and engage. Okay this book….suprised me in the best way possible and was SOOOOOO GOOD!

I had read the salt in the wound novella first so I was expecting to dive right back into Mark and Isolde’s story, but as we got more of Mark and Tristan I really wanted more of them!!

I literally didn’t want this book to end. And I need the next book NOW🤭 this book did have some of the hottest spice, but the amazing thing about sierra’s writing is that she is able to write some of the smuttiest smut, but then write some of the most addicting plot and characters.

I seriously can’t wait to see where this series go!!

If you love
Forbidden romance, MMF, spice, angssssst and tension galore then this is the book for you!

I highly recommend reading the prequel “salt in the wound” first! But omg this series is going to be top tier!!!! It’s super spicy of course. The MMF dynamic strongggggg and doesn’t feel like someone is getting left out! Sierras writing is always so beautiful and so scorching hot at the same time and I love her for that.

My goodness, I couldn't put this down at all. I find myself obsessing over this book after finishing it. I did not want it to end, I absolutely loved this. It was such a marvelous start to a series. My smutty heart is loving this to pieces, I am so happy with how this came together, the direction its going I can not wait to read what comes next, I need more.

MMF but let’s throw in all the spice and some hidden romance and the beloved tension and angst. Sierra Simone knows exactly what’s she’s doing.

The perfect blend of spice and plot with twists and edge of the seat moments keeps it interesting while our main characters always seem to be so dang lovable. Tristan is a fluffy marshmallow of delight and this trio is certainly going to lead to some sticky situations.

There is one thing that Ms. Simone knows how to do well is write messy, complicated, romantic entanglements.
Here we have a battle weary soldier, who manages to be endearing, vulnerable and naive, while also being pragmatic and realistic. He is thrust into a world of privilege and secrets that also happens to be a sex club, and ends up falling in love with his boss.
You would think that wouldn't be so bad, but he finds out that this relationship isn't without complications, aka, his boss's fiancee.
This one kept me on my toes the entire time the story unfolded, and ended on one heck of a cliffhanger.

I have only recently been getting into erotica and it is such a hit-and-miss but this! I am legit obsessed with this book and series! I devoured the prequel novella, Salt in the Wound, a few months ago and was so excited to get an ARC of this first book. I wasn’t even sure how this book would start after how the prequel ended, but I really loved the direction it went in!

We follow Tristan as he becomes Mark’s new bodyguard. We see the complex feelings he starts to feel for Mark and the relationship they start to form. It isn’t until months later that Tristan even learns Mark is engaged to Isolde and to say things get complicated, this quote sums it up perfectly…

“I’m just a bodyguard, and she’s engaged, and I’m in love with her fiancé.”

I loved seeing Tristan with Mark, I loved seeing Tristan with Isolde. We have Mark, a former CIA agent, Tristan the virgin bodyguard, and Isolde the badass woman who wanted to become a nun but was put into an arranged betrothal with Mark. We get BDSM, play with submission and pain, and everything is just delicious. This MMF Tristan and Isolde retelling is already off to a fantastic start and this series is my fav from Sierra Simone yet!

I received an ARC from netgalley, all thoughts in this review are my own!

I feel the need to mention that stated this before I found out there was a prequel novella, Salt in the Wound. I decided to go ahead and finish and I have to say that was the BEST decision I made. I feel like not knowing a few details made the last 70% so much better, adding some tension and a bit of a twist.

Tristan has my heart, he’s a cinnamon roll. I enjoyed the way the morally gray and diabolical Mark has Tristan so twisted up for most of the book. The writing and build-up of tension is on point and balanced with some smutty spice. This MM romance, soon to be MMF has descriptive without being cringy spicy scenes. Smut lovers will be happy.

This book will pull you and take you on a smutty journey before it leaves you hanging wanting more. I need the next installment.

Thank you netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books for allowing me to read this book. Omg Sierra Simone can do no wrong!!! I absolutely loved the new Camelot series so much and they are some of my all time favorite books so this was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and it did not disappoint!!!! 😍 I love the types of storylines she writes! The only thing I am furious about is that the next one is not out yet! It is eating at me that I am not able to pick up book 2 right away! Sierra i would do anything to get book 2 in my hands right away!🥺 I love the characters and just want to see them get their happy endings. This book made me go through so many different emotions and had me on the edge of my seat which most of her books have that effect on me. I live for the drama and romance in these books of hers. I NEED MORE!!!

Sierra's an excellent storyteller and the sexy time scenes are on point. I hope there's more character development for Mark and Isolde in the next book.

This book… oh my god. I’ve somehow managed to go this long in my life without reading a Sierra Simone book and I truly don’t know how I have. My life is forever changed.

This book was insane in the best possible way. The plot, the characters, the chemistry, the tension, the *spice*, literally just everything… was pure perfection.

I got completely swept up in this story. These characters were so incredibly fascinating. I fell in love with them all in their own unique way and I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that we get more books because of this being a series. I will be on the edge of my seat begging and pleading for the next book until the second I can get my hands on the next book in the series.

Considering I’ve only read this one book by Sierra Simone, I already know by the time this next book in the series comes out, I’ll have read her entire backlist. I’m a huge fan officially.

Like I said before, I will be on the edge of my seat begging for the next book because this book was the perfect set up. I feel like this book is best going in blind (just a personal preference) because you’ll get the full experience of these characters and their relationships. I’m so in love.
