This book was such a fun romp of a read. I loved the spiciness level of it. The descriptions of the beautiful landscapes around them as well as the sweet and realistic relationship between the characters made this very enjoyable. I mean who doesn't love a man in a Kilt.
This felt very predictable to me and I was not impressed with it. I had high hopes because I generally love all highland romances.
Thank you to Netgalley and the Publishing Company for this Advanced Readers Copy of Kilt Trip by Alexandra Kiley!
I loved this one! This is kinda an enemies to lover story about two very different people. Addie is a workaholic American, who is constantly on the move for her travel consultant job. Logan is a true man of the Scottish Highlands, who loves to share the beauty of his home with tourist who come to his family's tour company.
The two compete, bicker and banter their way through the story while falling in love. They have great chemistry and legitimate care for each other. I loved learning about Scotland and all the traditions explained in the story. I loved the ways Kiley explored grief and family. The way that people need their family's and the different things in life we grieve.
The story grabbed me from the beginning and never let go. I laughed and cried and it was one of my absolute favorite romances of the year.
Thank you to Netgalley for my ARC copy.
Ready to go on my own trip to Scotland after this story. The setting was its own character, and set the backdrop for a vacation read.
This book has put Scotland on the map for me. Never has a book made me want to visit a country so bad. While the story was great I felt like it was just another romance and didn't blow me out of the water.

Alexandra Kiley’s Kilt Trip is a heartfelt, hilarious and deliciously readable romantic comedy that will have readers everywhere swooning.
Globetrotter Addie Macrae is a travel consultant who loves nothing more than jetting off to exotic locations all around the world – except for Scotland. Addie had vowed never to visit that particular country, but when she is left with no other choice and is sent to Scotland to help a struggling family run tour company in the Highlands, Addie has to grit her teeth, put on her best professional smile and try and not let her emotions and her past get in the way of her job. However, Addie hadn’t counted on headstrong, infuriating and gorgeous Scot Logan Sutherland, who isn’t best pleased about having an American travel expert calling the shots!
Logan cannot understand why Addie is chained to her desk and never sets foot outside her office. Just what is it about Scotland that Addie hates so much? Intrigued, Logan does some digging and soon discovers an unlikely and unexpected connection between his beloved country and the workaholic American. Determined to give Addie the full Highland experience, Logan pulls out all the stops for Addie and he soon shows her just how majestic Scotland can be. As Addie falls under the spell of the Highlands – and Logan – will she realize that the country she has spent a lifetime avoiding might just hold the key to her heart? Can she make a life for herself in Scotland with Logan? Or is their love simply not meant to be?
Alexandra Kiley will steal every reader’s heart with Kilt Trip. A gorgeous tale infused with magic, warmth and heart, Kilt Trip is a terrific romantic comedy with a sexy Scottish hero who gives Jamie Fraser a run for his money and a heroine it is impossible not to root for.
A fabulous romantic comedy from a writer to watch out for, Alexandra Kiley’s Kilt Trip is a must-read for Emily Henry fans.
An enjoyable romance and travelogue. Travel consultant Addie is hired to evaluate a struggling tour company in Scotland. Not everyone is happy to see her, especially tour guide Logan, who doesn't think much of an American waltzing in and telling people what they're doing wrong. He challenges Addie to explore the country with his tour group before making her recommendations. Meanwhile Addie has a secret reason for wanting to visit Scotland, and Logan might be able to help. If the two of them can only get along long enough to work together.
Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for the ARC to review. All opinions are my own.
A Hallmark movie in book form. Girl with emotional baggage who is really into her job meets a carefree guy who has an adjacent job. She has to save his business while following the parameters of her job, but he wants to do it another way and they butt heads. Enemies(ish) to lovers.
The FMC was a good character but unmemorable. The MMC was a little flat for me though still very endearing.
This book is a good time and the audiobook was especially fun due to how the accents are done.
This is such a fun rom com! I loved the setting and the travel aspect. The chemistry between the main characters was great. I was rooting for them from the start. It was a quick and easy read. It was nice to read something lighthearted and truly enjoyable. I will recommend to others and look forward to future releases from the author.

Okay, so now I’m obsessed with Scotland?!
Alexandra has charmed me with this one. Our lead. Addie, is sent to consult a struggling Highland touring company and this is where she meets the tour owner’s son, Logan. This story was heartfelt and funny and steamy at times. I think it’s perfect for an escape with a great setting and hilarious banter.
I would say do go into this knowing our main FMC does struggle with grief of a parent, if that is something you struggle with.
oh my goodness I LOVED this book. One of the best books I've read this year. Such a great romance, fell in love with the characters and the country. I need more books from Kiley!!!
A grief driven scavenger hunt + romance sounded so good, but sadly it didn't deliver for me. I loved the setting and now after reading this book I want to visit Scotland more than ever, but sadly I didn't really connect with the characters nor with the love story, it felt tedious at times and I just wanted it to be over, this book felt unnecessary long.
Need a romcom in Scotland? This is for you! I really enjoyed this romcom, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone needing a Scottish romp for their romcom joy. Absolutely loved Logan, and was here for Addie getting everything together so that the two of them could enjoy highlands bliss. Do recommend!
This book was a little hard for me to get into at first. I think because, overall, I didn't like Addie all that much. But eventually the setting and Logan both pulled me in. I think the fact I visited Scotland earlier this year, and visited many of the places described in the book, really helped put me into the story. Overall a cute story that I think will have broad appeal. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy.
Yes please. Everything about this book. Edinburgh. Logan. Highland cows. Castles. Cobblestone walkways. Cool days by the loch. The word lass. Yes please.
I adored this book.
I am so lucky to have been part of the street team for Kilt Trip. As a lover of everything Scotland, I knew that I would enjoy this book. What I didn't know is just how much I would love it.
Kilt Trip starts out feeling like a cute little romcom, but at some point it ends up being so much more. It has the heart of You've Got Mail and the passion of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. The way these two go *after* each other in the most ridiculous ways had me cackling. Addie and Logan are two peas in a petty pod.
Also, the way Addie holds grief is so familiar to me, and at times it was difficult to contain my emotions. I loved being able to watch her come back to herself. And Logan? He travels the way my husband and I travel. Give us the heart of the place and we'll be forever fans. Sign me up for all of Logan's tours!
The quips about roundabouts, the winding streets of Edinburgh, the sensation of being both humid and chilly while walking in the rain, the impossibly tiny roads in the countryside, the feeling of being right at home in a place you have never been before... Kilt Trip triggered my memories of our time abroad in the best way.
If you're just looking for a hot and heavy romcom, this isn't it. It's so much more. Yes, it has some pretty flavorful spice, but it's not the focus of the book. For me, it has just the right kind of space - it fits perfectly within the narrative. Truth be told, Kilt Trip is everything I want in a contemporary romance.
How fun is a road-trip trope in a rom-com? Even better when its combined with a workplace rivalry and a stubborn Scot. That is the very basic premise of Kilt Trip by Alexandra Kiley. Should you read it based on that alone? Obviously, but there are other fantastic elements of this book such as the amazing banter between our two romantic leads globetrotter Addie and set-in-his-ways Logan. The steamy scenes were just enough and the wanderlust element to this book made me begin planning my very own trip to Scotland!
omg the audiobook read Logan’s POV with a Scottish accent, it was so nice to listen to I think that I was actually not paying attention to the story at times…
Overall, very cute, a little tooo rom-com like, missed opportunities to dive a little deeper. Perfect for when you want something with wanderlust and cozy chemistry. It felt like insta-love and so emotionally rushed?
