This was a cute contemporary romance! The main character, Addie, is a travel consultant who helps tour agencies optimize their business. She takes a job in Scotland to help a small family business and to reconnect with some places her late mom visited before Addie was born. The initial meet cute is fun, and leads to lots of fun banter and back and forth once the tour guide/MMC realizes who she is and why she's there. The story felt longer than most romances, but gave time for the characters to grow and nicely wrap up some of the family issues each character had on the side. Super sweet epilogue, too!

What a delightful, breezy and thoroughly enjoyable read! This centers on Addie, emotionally unavailable due to a troubled and grief-filled past, and Logan, sext sweetheart in a kilt. Aside from being absolutely hilarious in parts, this is a sizzlingly sweet stunner of a debut that turns a number of tropes on their heads in ways that, as an avid romance reader, I found incredibly refreshing. It was so great to see the heroine be the broody one for a change, and for the hero to bring a generosity of spirit to the table from the beginning. Logan was so charming and refreshingly different than the alpha-hole heroes that have been done to death. I adored him, I adored his treatment of Addie, and wow, this is the kind of guy you should marry in real life. THANK YOU for bringing such genuine characters to the page. Also of note is the richly rendered setting and the author’s obvious familiarity with Scotland and the UK, which lends the whole story a depth and credibility that makes the story sing. Five stars and I can’t wait for the next one!

As a lover of all things Scotland, I was dying to read this book and happy that I got an early chance to. Addie comes to Scotland for work as she helps tour guide companies revamp their businesses. She clashes with Logan, the son of her new client who wants nothing to do with her suggestions for change. As things usually go, sparks fly and the two fall for each other. Problem is, Addie has trust issues and is a wanderer. So it’s up to Logan to convince Addie not to run.

The only thing I didn’t care for in terms of the book was that it did drag a bit for me in the middle, but it was a solid finish.

This book just ticked all the boxes for me. Scotland? Check. Men in kilts? Check. Gorgeous descriptions of the country and its history.? Check. Steamy? Check. , Man falls in love first? Check. All any woman wants is a man who is crazy about her.and Alexandra Riley writes this so well. Oh, and the Rick Steves digs? Fabulous!

Beautiful prose, hunk'o'Scot, loads of laughs, this spicy romance has it all!

Logan is a rugged Scot and has no interest in the American 'expert' pushing tourist traps and Loch Ness myths to make a buck. When Logan finds out about Addie's secret connection to Scotland, a few faded pictures of her mom, he takes her on a private tour of all the places in her mom's photos.

I loved watching Addie and Logan's bickering at the beginning, then the way he led her on a journey of discovery. The connection between them was heartwarming to watch. I loved the humor in this. The descriptions of Scotland were gorgeous. This book was really the perfect Scottish romance! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Alexandra Kiley has written a perfect Scottish romance. I loved Addie and Logan’s enemies to lovers journey and will recommend to all.

Overall, I enjoyed Kilt Trip and found it to be a fun romp. The beginning of the book went a bit slow and it took me a bit of time to truly "get in to" the book. Once I finally did though, I was off to the races. I enjoyed the incorporation of beautiful Scottish scenery and culture. The chemistry between Addie and Logan was on fire. Would definitely recommend this book as a fun and frothy read.

If there is going to be a mmc who is scottish, you have to detail more than his calves and eyes. Also, he needs to speak with a scottish accent. "Aye" doesn't count.

Maybe outlander spoiled everything scottish for me.

never really clicked for me. has things i usually like (scottish hunk), but i just never really got into a groove where i was looking forward to reading the next chapter/couldn’t put the book down. i had an issue with addie & logan’s “rivalry”/conflict in the office; i didn’t like how they’d be so intimate one moment and then seemingly back to the walled-off versions of themselves, unyielding in their positions on the tours/what was best for the company the next. i know the guise of addie being there for work needed to be kept up, but the moments where they fought each other on what was best and stood at odds were my least favorite. that said, i did like the conclusion they eventually came to (by the end of the book, least, though it felt like it took them maybe too long to come up with the idea in the first place). i don’t usually have a problem with instalove-y stories, but when logan started throwing that word around in his mind it just felt early to me. i’ll leave you with something i DID really like—how supportive/a good listener logan was. how he allowed addie to open up to him was heartwarming to see. i think that asset of him as a character really helped addie come out of her emotional shell.

This one was really hard for me to get into and not my favorite. While I appreciate a copy to review. I had to stop reading this one because it wasn’t very plot driven and wasn’t for me but I won’t be leaving any reviews anywhere because I don’t want to leave a negative review for the author it was beautifully descriptive just not for me.

Excellent setting and well-told romantic story. Lovely descriptions of Scotland, and interesting take on the touring industry. I thought Logan was an excellent romantic lead, but found the lead character, Addie to be frustratingly immature (though not without her charms!) 3.5 stars rounded up. Actually though, I'm so impressed that this is a debut novel - it was incredibly well-written, the tension between the two main characters (Logan and Addie) was palpable, and the descriptions of Scotland were out of this world! I was hooked immediately and couldn't put it down. So sad when it ended, but now I must go to Scotland??? Globetrotting consultant Addie MacRae would move mountains to help the vulnerable travel start-up she joined. But if they are Scottish mountains? Thank you but no. Except that’s where her boss just sent her - to the place her late mom loved, and right into a rescue effort for a floundering family-run tour company that would cling to its traditions even if they were sinking to the bottom of Loch Ness. What I love about Kiley’s writing is the way I *knew* right away, “this is going to be SO GOOD.” This book delivers on voice, feels, spice, and the beauty of an unexpected connection in a faraway place - you just know this love will change everything about the loneliness the characters thought would never go away. Fun, charming, and romantic! Addie is a travel consultant. Logan runs his family’s tour company. Once they officially meet, they are immediately at odds. Logan thinks the business is running just fine while Addie is determined to make it a commercial, touristy success. As they work together (and amid their banter and growing attraction), they begin to understand one another and may even figure out a compromise.

This was lovely - atmospheric setting, likable characters, the right amount of tension and plenty of chemistry. Kilt Trip will have you booking the next flight to Edinburgh! 4.5 stars.

Oooh I loved this one! Addie’s and Logan’s story was such a fun adventure! I love a story with an unusual job (tour guide consultant?!), and I loved getting to know all the side characters and family members (can’t wait to see a Jack story!). Loved the conflict, loved the tension, and loved the relatability of these flawed protagonists. I can’t wait to see more from this author!
