This one was really hard for me to get into and not my favorite. While I appreciate a copy to review. I had to stop reading this one because it wasn’t very plot driven and wasn’t for me but I won’t be leaving any reviews anywhere because I don’t want to leave a negative review for the author it was beautifully descriptive just not for me.

Excellent setting and well-told romantic story. Lovely descriptions of Scotland, and interesting take on the touring industry. I thought Logan was an excellent romantic lead, but found the lead character, Addie to be frustratingly immature (though not without her charms!) 3.5 stars rounded up. Kiley delivers not just on the highlands of Scotland, but on the interactions that are vividly painted between our two main characters. We are taken on an adventure of a lifetime, and not just one that shows us the main tourist attractions of the country.

This was such a fun, sexy, atmospheric romance set in Scotland! The character arcs were great, the banter delightful, and the overall premise the perfect vacation read. A joy!

Actually though, I'm so impressed that this is a debut novel - it was incredibly well-written, the tension between the two main characters (Logan and Addie) was palpable, and the descriptions of Scotland were out of this world! I was hooked immediately and couldn't put it down. So sad when it ended, but now I must go to Scotland??? This is definitely one of my favorite reads of the year - don't miss this one next spring! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I'm so excited to see the debut of a writer as pithy, witty, and skilled at evoking emotion as Alexandra Kiley!

Globetrotting consultant Addie MacRae would move mountains to help the vulnerable travel start-up she joined. But if they are Scottish mountains? Thank you but no. Except that’s where her boss just sent her - to the place her late mom loved, and right into a rescue effort for a floundering family-run tour company that would cling to its traditions even if they were sinking to the bottom of Loch Ness. Which, frankly, they are - and the hot owner along with them.

For his part, sentimental Scot Logan Sutherland has no interest in the mass-produced Tourism™️ he’s sure Addie wants. When his office skirmishes can’t defeat her, he pivots to Plan B: find a way to make her fall for Scotland the way he definitely does not wish she’d fall for him. On a mission to find the places in her faded family photographs, will the two of them find a sense of place that they can both believe in, or will the delicate fire between them get snuffed when Addie inevitably moves on?

What I love about Kiley’s writing is the way I *knew* right away, “this is going to be SO GOOD.” This book delivers on voice, feels, spice, and the beauty of an unexpected connection in a faraway place - you just know this love will change everything about the loneliness the characters thought would never go away. The promise of love and adventure and the magic of discovery sparkle on every page. An all-time favorite, special beyond words, emotional and true. Thanks to Netgalley and Canary Street for the ARC.

This book has incredible descriptions of the Scottish scenery and will make you feel like you’ve traveled there.

Fun, charming, and romantic! Addie is a travel consultant. Logan runs his family’s tour company. Once they officially meet, they are immediately at odds. Logan thinks the business is running just fine while Addie is determined to make it a commercial, touristy success. As they work together (and amid their banter and growing attraction), they begin to understand one another and may even figure out a compromise.

This was lovely - atmospheric setting, likable characters, the right amount of tension and plenty of chemistry. Kilt Trip will have you booking the next flight to Edinburgh! 4.5 stars.

Oooh I loved this one! Addie’s and Logan’s story was such a fun adventure! I love a story with an unusual job (tour guide consultant?!), and I loved getting to know all the side characters and family members (can’t wait to see a Jack story!). Loved the conflict, loved the tension, and loved the relatability of these flawed protagonists. I can’t wait to see more from this author!
