Brought back to life and larger audiences perhaps than its 2021 launch, this is a scatological ride through Christmas, as a destructive dog runs riot with a Christmas tree decoration waiting to, well, come out the other end. It's brightly rhymed, and is fine if you like that kind of thing – certainly someone wanting the complete opposite to the traditional seasonal story will find it more to their liking than my star rating suggests.

What can I say? We loved this book.
My Little Book Buddy gives it: 2 Thumbs up! 👍(Highest Rating)

Comments: "That dog is very naughty and silly" "Oh no, what has he done?" "Ewwww yuck! that's
not a present."
"It's so silly Mum, I laughed."

This book is fun and cheeky, made for a laugh. It's not just another Christmas story, but a tale of a very cheeky and destructive Corgi named Eddie, who just loves to get up to mischief. This Christmas he is about to give his family a very special Christmas present.

Honestly it reminds you of the joys of having a puppy all over again, the chewing, the mess and your
favourite shoes lost in the wake of destruction.
All the family are there for the fun, including Nanna. Trying to catch Eddie, as swallowing things that are not made to be eaten has consequences.. Vet trip!

If you don't like toilet humour then maybe this isn't for you, but it isn't saturated with it, just sprinkled in lightly for some fun Kiddy humour, because we all know children find it funny.

It is a rhyming children's book which honestly, if written well flow easily and children love them. This one is definitely written well as the Author has stuck to the rule of stressed syllables and downbeats (Yep, it's a thing. Look it up.)
The illustrator has brought little Eddie and the family to life and truly detailed the destruction left in
the mischievous Corgi's path.

I enjoyed this story with all the characters within. The main character was Eddie.

Eddie is a silly dog. He get into trouble a lot. He likes to make mess and chew on things. One Christmas he decides to attack the Christmas tree and swallowed the jingle bell that was on the tree. His family tries to get him but he gets way and run outside.

This was a fun story to read. It had action and adventure throughout. It had a few giggles within.

Anyone with a pet dog will likely relate to this story. This is a fun Christmas themed book with cute animations. The story has a nice rhythm and flow. There were a couple of chuckles from my three-year-old. This book is geared for a younger audience and is best suited for kids under the age of six.

Thank you to Rosen Publishing Group and NetGalley for providing me with a free electronic copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Jingle Belly is a funny, fast-paced, rhyming story about a little Corgi dog who gets in to a lot of Christmas mischief. The illustrations are beyond fantastic with so much life and movement. It was clear the illustrator understood exactly what was needed in each frame. The story itself was simple but very endearing and the typesetting gave an interesting and unusual note to the story.
This is a fun, fast read that is sure to become a child's favorite Christmas book!

This one surprised me. I think it will be a Christmas Classic. But not because it surprised me but because of the art and that kids will LOVE this story! I can already imagine kids laughing.

This book would be a great storytime book at a library or a classroom and hear the joyous, raucous laughter of children.

Eddie, the Corgi dog is a big mischievous bundle of energy. He makes his way through the house and then the neighborhood, the vet, and then Christmas day oh the beautiful page of the family coming down the stairs and then there is a surprise for the family from Eddie. I thought oh this is going to be special like make up for his mischief of something. Boy was I a dreamer. Could it be a torn-up living room or something else?

I would like to thank NetGalley, the publisher Windmill Books for the opportunity to read Jingle Belly by Jacinta Froud and illustrated Gabriella Petruso for this funny romp of a book.

This was utterly hilarious and a great book for Christmas it will make you howl with laughter it is so utterly funny. I was instantly laughing from the very first page until the very last page.

This dog is always up to something troublesome but when Christmas decorations come out he swallows things he shouldn’t have and runs off causing chaos everywhere he goes, as his family try to chase him down. Then on Christmas morning they are left with a very special gift.

This was seriously so funny and such a unique book, I don’t think personally I’ve read a Christmas picture book like this so it was fun. The illustrations worked so well with the story, seeing everything that he was up too they were great visuals and created perfectly for it. What a wonderfully hilarious Christmas book, perfect for children they will find it so funny.

This is a a really cute Christmas picture book. I love that the dog is a corgi and how the corgi got more and more dressed up as the book progressed. It was a fun read.

Jingle Belly is a fun book with an unexpected “surprise” ending. The rhymes flow seamlessly without a step. It is whimsical and full of laughs as Eddie the Corgi dog finds himself in a heap of mischievous adventures. This is certainly the one book that kids will want to read over and over again, and will be the most asked for Christmas book!

Happy. This book made me happy.

It also made me smile. Grin. Chuckle. And, laugh out loud. It also made me look at my own dog as she watched me react. A corgi mix, I'm just glad she isn't an Eddie. Fortunately she doesn't share his zest and talent for mischief and mayhem.

Eddie on the other hand....oh, my. He seems the typical, happy corgi but, sigh, does leave a bit of confusion and chaos behind him. Just ask that Christmas angel. And, poor Nanna. I hope that wasn't an heirloom sarong. I had to laugh as Eddie collected, uh, let's call it holiday decor from just about anyone who crossed his path. My dog disdains wearing anything more than a collar and a smile so I could just imagine the side-eye she'd be giving him. The reindeer hat was a nice disguise, however, as he left so many whirling in his energetic wake. But, oh, Eddie, I doubt ending your escapade at the vet's was in the plan. Nice xray, though. Just glad it all ended, uh, naturally. Hope your humans had extra doggie poo-bags on their shopping list.

Seriously, this was a delightful, laugh-out-loud read. It'll make you grin. It'll make you laugh. It'll probably also make you appreciate your own dog's decorum a bit more in comparison to Eddie's wild child nature. I loved Eddie but was glad he was going home with someone other than me at the end of the day. My corgi girl seems downright demure in comparison. Thanks #NetGalley and #RosenPublishingGroup - #WindmillBooks for making my day better with Eddie's antics. The illustrations were fun and captured his exuberant personality well. Kids and grown-up kids will surely enjoy this one.

Very nicely illustrated children’s book showing all of the mischief a dog/puppy can get in to! However, at the end of the day we still love them!

This book is adorable! The rhyme is an awesome addition as it is a factor to look for to aid and advance childhood literacy. The illustrations are so cute! The book is a perfect description of having an animal. And finally if you are convinced to pick up this book for a kid yet, there’s poop. What child isn’t going to be cracking up at this book?

Jingle Belly
“Jingle Belly” by Jacinta Froud is an adorable holiday poem about a trouble-making Corgi and his adventure after eating the Christmas angel on top of the Christmas tree. Fun read aloud for preschoolers and will sure cause the Christmas spirit and some giggles.

Eddie the little Corgi gets into a lot of mischief. He escapes the backyard and enjoys chewing on things. He likes to eat everything; sheets, shoes and special toys. But things got really bad on Christmas Eve.He grabbed the angel from the tree. He bolted out the door. He grabbed some tinsel from the neighbor. And then he did what dogs do best and took a long pee on the Christmas tree. He kept running and went through a craft tent and stepped in the glitter. He was finally captured and taken to the vet.

This book was the most adorable children’s book I’ve read lately. It didn’t bother me one bit that I was reading a Christmas book in June! The illustration was beautiful, colorful, and kept my toddlers attention. He has asked to read it multiple times and finds it funny. Simply put the book is AWESOME! 10 out of 5 stars! Can’t wait to add it to our family library.
