This was so fun! the setting was original for a thriller I really found myself flipping through the pages thinking what will happen next!!!

You know how owls can turn their heads almost completely around? That’s how I felt with the plot twists with this one. First book by this author & it won’t be my last. OMG…SO good! The characters were developed well. The plot was fast paced. I finished this book so fast i don’t know if I blinked.

Miranda Rijks does it again! A fast paced thriller with so many twists and turns it’s hard to put down. A fun tale of obsession, with over the top characters and a great scenic background.

A great thriller and good read

Rating: 4 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷
Book: The Lodge
Author: Miranda Rijks

Sipping thoughts: Deranged! This is the best word to describe this book and the Anna’s ex-boyfriend, Clayton. I could not believe the level of crazy, manipulation and outrageous things that happened in this book. I loved the setting and the description of the safari lodge. I love Rijks books and this one did not disappoint. I did not really care for the ending and was hoping for it to end a little differently. I was going to give it 5 stars but I just think the ending could have been a little better.
Cheers and thank you to @InkubatorBooks and @Netgalley for an advanced copy of @TheLodge.

I've read a few books by Miranda Rijks & I've enjoyed every one of them! This was also a great read! It was creepy & terrifying I loved every second!!!

An entertaining novel that had me hooked from the beginning with many twists and turns. I would recommend this one.

Have you ever ridden a rollercoaster backwards? Well this book is like that!!! Omg!!! You don’t see the twists and turns coming and your hearts pounding and your mind is racing! You're trying to put it all together and it’s just madness!!! But in the best possible way! Highly recommend this book it was awesome!!! Thanks for allowing me to read this!!!

Such an enjoyable read! Loved the setting at an African game reserve. Plus, it's one of my favorite plotlines. Controlling and manipulate psycho stalker boyfriend who you thought was dead, coincidentally is on vacation at the same place you are. In another country! And he wants you back! Just when you think its gotten crazy, it gets even crazier! Crazy x 10!!! Loved it!
Thank you to NetGalley and Inkubator Books for this eARC.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC of this book. This was one heck of a ride! The main character and her fiance are invited on an African safari. They arrive and her controlling ex is there as well. The story is fast paced and thrilling from that point on. Gran a copy you will not be disappointed

Joel and fiancé Anna are leaving for the South African safari all expenses due to his new job as an veterinarian on the game reserve. They arrived and meet other couples, one in particular shocks her - it’s her controlling ex Clayton! Coincidence? This is a quick read.

Super scary and creepy. The anticipation in every chapter is in the highest level.
Kudos to the author!

Great storyline, well written, great characters, another success from Miranda
Please keep writing.

I wasn’t expecting to like this story so much but I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it.
It’s a bit different in that it’s set on an African reserve. I was expecting a bit more info of the land and animals but the story line ran the course it was meant to and was just insane.

This was a very interesting novel and I really enjoyed it more than I actually suspected. It kept me on the top of my toes and I kept wanting more and more. I think this is a great novel for someone who loves suspense and thrill books!

Thank you Netgalley for providing me with an advance copy ♥️
The Lodge" by Miranda Rijks is a gripping psychological thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat from the very beginning. The story follows the main character, Cara, who takes a job as a manager at a secluded lodge in the Scottish Highlands, hoping to escape her troubled past. However, she soon realizes that the lodge has a dark history and that her employer, the enigmatic Mr. Buchanan, may be hiding secrets of his own.
Rijks masterfully weaves a complex web of characters, each with their own motivations and secrets, creating a sense of tension and uncertainty. The isolated setting of the lodge adds to the eerie atmosphere, making it the perfect backdrop for the unfolding drama.
With its intricate plot, well-developed characters, and eerie setting, it's a gripping page-turner that will keep you up late at night. If you're looking for a suspenseful read, this book is a great choice.

Thank you NetGalley for the Kindle copy in exchange for a honest review. Anna has found love with her fiancé Joel after escaping from controlling ex Clayton. Joel is a vet and has been offered the chance to interview for his dream job on a game reserve in South Africa. Anna is invited along for a holiday in the luxury safari lodge while Joel prepares for his interview. Then Clayton turns up and their dream holiday turns into a nightmare. This thriller is Miranda Rijks at her best.

The Lodge by Miranda Rijks is the first book I have read from this author even though I have several on my shelf. I loved the premise of the book which is set in a African Safari and while I liked it I didn't love it. I could not seem to connect to the charcters and felt like the pacing was slow in places.
I felt that even though this wasn't for me I would still readsome more from this author.
