FLORENCE FIELDS IS MY NEW AUTO-BUY AUTHOR

Ticket to You is chalked with your favourite tropes all executed to absolute perfection.

Enemies to lovers
Slow burn
Forced proximity
Found family
and More!

Florence Fields manages to fit all the concepts we love into a single feel-good book.

Centered around Adam and Ophelia, journalists from two polar-opposite magazines who have a rather unfortunate first meeting at an industry event. The book follows them as they are forced into a shared business trip to assist the other in obtaining a collection of exceptional stories in their respective fields.

Built on a foundation of miscommunication, and initial attraction this book is a perfectly realistic enemies-to-lovers. Written in dual perspectives, readers are given the narrative advantage of being able to see two people fall slowly for the other whilst completely misunderstanding the other's intent.

This slow-burn novel is full of quirky characters, awe-inspiring adventures, and quick witty banter. The characters feel like elevated versions of real people, keeping the story interesting without feeling like a cliche. The development of the relationship is slow-paced allowing readers to experience every time the characters fall that little bit further for the other, maintaining a sense of reality. And the main characters are incredibly well-fleshed out, and readers will love learning about how they became how they are.

This book is an incredible romance novel, and I can't promise you won't finish it without a new book-boyfriend.

Thank you NetGalley and Florence Fields for the ARC.

This review will be shared to my Instagram (Tinsleysbooks) shortly.

Thank you!

There were so many things I enjoyed about this book it's hard to narrow them down.

Firstly Ophelia was a sweet, complex character who was really endearing. I so wanted her to succeed.

Adam was also a great character, nothing like the initial impression he gave Ophelia. I loved all of the little details that the author used to show that he was a travel writer.

The forced proximity trope is a good one for a good reason- it just works and this was no exception. The stunning locations that Ophelia and Adam went to were beautifully described and I really felt like I was there with them.

One bed is an even better trope and havet Adam the opportunity to show Adam that he was there for her but not in a creepy or sleazy way. He was simply supportive and kind, allowing Ophelia to come to the realisation that he liked her at the same time that she realised she liked him.

This was a brilliant debut and I can't wait to read the next one!

THIS IS THE PERFECT FLUFFY ROMCOM BOOK THAT WILL GET YOU OUT OF YOUR READING SLUMP!!

Firstly, I wanted to talk a moment to appreciate this stunning cover!! It is what originally drew me in and the title! I am a sucker for a travel romance that involves forced proximity and there is in fact a scenario with ONE BED!

Ophelia Banks and Adam Abrams are both journalists and that's the only thing they have in common. She writes for a fashion magazine while he writes for an outdoorsy magazine. One night they are introduced to each other as a set up but it does not end well. It results in Ophelia and Adam hoping that they never see each other again. Time passes by and Ophelia finds herself somehow relying on Adam to help her save her career. They go on a week-long work trip in Europe filled with photographing and interviewing. While on this trip, Ophelia and Adam realize they have way more in common than they thought. Will their relationship continue on past the trip?

This book really surprised me in the best way possible. I didn't anticipate on loving it this much. I loved how it was dual pov. I really was able to get a grasp of who the characters were what they were thinking. Especially happy that we got Adam's pov but because from Ophelia's pov we think he is just some broody man but once you get inside his head, it's unexpected in the best way! I truly saw the chemistry between Ophelia and Adam. Sometimes I find myself a bit hesitant on the opposites attract but they just made perfect sense in my opinion!

The pacing of this book was great! It was fast paced and I didn't feel like it dragged on too much. The chapters were a great length and didn't find myself constantly checking when the next chapter was going to be (that's a good sign in my books!).

I loved the whole traveling aspect. I am a big traveler myself so it was fun to recognize some places that I have gone to and places that I hope to visit one day!

Also, we love no third act break up!!! We need to normalize it more!!

Overall, definitely recommend this book if you are in a slump. I read this book in 1 day and I don't remember the last time I have done that!

3.5 stars

Ophelia Brooks and Adam Abrams get off to bad start to say the least. They crash into each other at an important event. His drink splatters her priceless couture dress and for an embarrassing amount of time they are on the floor, their legs tangled. It all happened in front of her boss, who she was hoping to pitch to about a new business idea. When her job as a journalist is threatened, the only chance she has to save it includes a trip with a journalist from another magazine – unfortunately for Ophelia the said journalist happens to be the one and only Adam Abrams.

Ticket To You was like a gingerbread house without all it’s decorations – it had the bones of a good romance story, but it lacked a lot of the important stuff. While the writing was cute and I liked the overall tone of the book, there wasn’t much substance to the characters and for most of the story I felt disconnected from them. Honestly, this was the case for the rest of the novel, things are brushed over and overall surface-level. The plot is okay, I do love a good travel romcom, but there's one plot point brought in at the end of the novel that kind of disturbed the flow for me. In saying all that, this book had a lot of potential! I think if more time was spent fleshing out the details this could have easily been a 4-star read. The author has a nice writing style, and it was cute when the characters eventually got together.

Ticket To You is a wonderful, enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy and is book one from the Wonderings series.

This book is a wonderful, light hearted, easy-to-read story and full of the most wonderful tropes. They included, slow burn romance, only one bed, close proximity, fade to black, he falls first and I’m not sure which bits i liked the best!

I found myself turning the pages quicker and quicker just so that i could find out what was going to happen next and I loved getting immersed in Ophelia and Adam’s story.

A wonderfully funny and romantic rom-com and I will definitely be coming back for more…..

perfect, perfect, perfect. if you're looking for a feel-good summer read that captures all the elements of a delightful romcom, Ticket To You is the one for you! this book effortlessly combines all the elements i love in a romantic comedy and delivers an enjoyable experience from start to finish.

the story employs my favourite tropes:
- grumpy/sunshine
- dual pov
- one bed trope
- slow burn
- he falls first

despite the familiar tropes, it stands out from other romcoms and manages to carve its own unique path.

adam and ophelia‘s chemistry is off-the-charts, and the tension between them is brilliantly portrayed. they exhibit depth and well-fleshed-out personalities. they’ll have you giggling and kicking your feet at 2am.

another bonus is that this book isn’t unnecessarily lengthy. unlike the 500+ page romcoms dominating the genre lately, this book maintains its lighthearted charm without overstaying its welcome, making it a perfect summer read. i finished it in 5 hours so it’s a fast paced read. i highly recommend this if you’re looking for a lighthearted, cosy escape!

This was such a sweet love story! While Ophelia and Adam have a fiasco of a first meeting, the undeniable attraction between the two of them is there. Because they run in the same career circles, they just keep running into each other, and eventually need to team up together to get their individual work projects done.

Their interactions were filled with witty banter, and I could feel the chemistry between the two of them. The progression of their entire relationship seemed very natural and realistic until they got to the 'I love you's. That felt a little rushed to me. I also had a hard time with Adam's mom going from trying aggressively to play match maker and ignoring Ophelia, to suddenly being so apologetic and accepting when she reads that Adam loves Ophelia. Adam gives his mom pretty clear signals when he brings Ophelia home that he loves her (he who has never brought a girl home before; he who is usually the cool and calm one but yells at his mom about being nice to Ophelia; he who literally says "this is my girlfriend"), so the fact that post cards got through to her more than her own son seemed unrealistic to me. But this was a very small blip in an overall great read!

3 stars 🌟 12 days. they were in close proximity for TWELVE FUCKING DAYS and fell in love 😒 tbh it didn’t really click for me that time was going by that fast but stilllll. that’s way too little time for me 🙏 adamophelia had really great tension and sparks throughout the book!! i just didn’t like how fast the ending felt(the ending being the last 20%) 🗣️ i need to stop reading books under 300 pages bcs they move way to fast for me lolll

a special thank you to netgalley and florence fields for the arc in exchange for an honest review!

I really loved Ticket to You, It was a fun fast paced rom-com set on a European trip with two journalist in very different field. Ophelia is a fashion and travel writer while Adam covers outdoors and adventures. First night , first hotel - one room.
I read this book in a period of 24 hours. I really enjoyed the elements of fashion but they weren't overwhelming. Seeing the relationship between Ophelia and Adam grow as they spend more time together was so sweet.
Solid four star read that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys romance.

The characters in this book were so lovable. The way the characters are introduced to one another in this book is so cute and the setting of their trip being in Paris is the most romantic thing ever. From the start Adam is so drawn to Ophelia and I love how he agrees to go everywhere with her because he wants to be around her at all times. Also, the fact that they are both writers is the most adorable thing ever. An enemy to lover's trope is one of my favourites and this trope is written so well in this book.

Thank you to NetGalley & Author Florence Fields for sending me this ARC in exchange for my honest review 🩷

This was the perfect rom-com, heartfelt, funny, predictable & fast paced!

Read this if you love:
- Forced proximity
- Enemies to lovers
- He falls first

My favourite things about this book were the setting of the characters being journalists and them travelling around Europe! I also loved the question of the day Adam & Ophelia asked each other (it’s something I would do in a relationship 🤣) and then the postcards at the end got me 🥹

I could totally see this being adapted into a movie too!

Thank you NetGalley and Florence Fields for this ARC!

Ticket to You is a charming opposites-attract workplace romcom by debut author Florence Fields. Ophelia Brooks and Adam Abrams, two magazine journalists, are not off too a good start after a disastrous first impression. With company layoffs left and right and their jobs seemingly on the chopping block, the two bregrudgingly team up for a European travel assignment. Through their travels and new experiences, they begin to understand one another better, realizing they fit and connect better than anticipated with their glaring differences.

Ticket to You was very fast-paced, but the characters and story line were still developed well. I especially liked the dual POV and internal dialogue. Ophelia is driven and miraculously toes the line between fabulous yet down-to-earth. Adam is extremely attentive and protective, and it was nice to see him open up throughout the story. Both characters faced some very real struggles with family and their careers, but Ticket to You wasn’t trying to make your heart bleed or ache. There were great minor characters, too, that I’m hoping will be the focus for future books!

I really adored this Ticket to You and look forward to reading Fields’ future work! Four fabulous stars!

Tropes: opposites attract, workplace relationships, enemies to lovers, one bed
Steam level: Mild spice, fade-to-black

Honestly, if you enjoy Emily Henry books you will love this one! I cannot recommend it enough!! ALL the feels!! One of my favorite rom-coms for 2023!!🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

Ophelia and Adam are both journalist working for the same publishing company. After a horrible encounter at the company holiday party, Ophelia considers Adam to be pretentious and judgmental. Basically, she never wants anything to do with him. Three months later, Ophelia learns that the company is laying off people and her job is in jeopardy. They give her one more chance to prove that she is worth saving. In order to accomplish this task, Ophelia will have to take a weeklong work trip to Europe with Adam. Reluctantly, she agrees to the trip because she will not let him blow this chance for her. Will they be able to work together and get along? What could possibly go wrong? Do they have more in common than they thought or are they truly complete opposites? Eventually, every trip comes to an end!

Overall, this is a quick and delightful read that has everything I love in a rom-com! Plus this cover is sooo cute!!! Do yourself a favor and read this book!! ALL the stars!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

4.5 stars! 🌟

Ticket to You by Florence Fields was such a fun enemies to lovers debut romance! We focus on Ophelia Brooks, who is a journalist for a high end fashion magazine, and Adam Abrams, who is a journalist at an outdoors magazine. They both work for the same parent company, and have quite the (bad) introduction at a holiday work party. Ophelia immediately chalks Adam up to be pretentious and judgmental, while Adam assumes Ophelia is vapid and conceited. This couldn't be further from the truth.

Our story takes place a few months after that party when Ophelia and Adam are forced to work together on an overseas trip. I loved the character development, banter, and storyline of this whole book. It will be coming out July 23rd to paperback, e-book, and Kindle Unlimited. I highly recommend picking this up!

Thank you to NetGalley and Florence Fields for the ARC! All opinions are my own :)

An e-copy of this book was sent to me by NetGalley to review.
Ticket to You by Florence Fields is definitely a five-star read for me. It is the type of romance book to leave you feeling content, warm, and fuzzy. The character development throughout the book was extremely well-written and culminated in an extremely satisfying ending. The characters were so lovable and I definitely let out a few squeals while reading. Please read this book, you won’t regret it!!!!!

Ophelia Brooks is a journalist for a fashion magazine, and her company is downsizing. Her beloved, hard-won Travel section is going to be cut, and her job is on the line, too. Her only hope is to team up with the broody Adam Abrams from sister-magazine Outdoorsy to save her job.

Adam Abrams doesn't want to pair up with the pretty Ophelia for a close-knit, weeklong trip to Europe, but he knows her job is on the line, so he decides to go along with it. Plus, she's hot, so why not?

I enjoyed the banter between Ophelia and Adam, their relationship going from sour to sweet to (implied) spicy, and getting to know them as they got to know each other. There's not much explicit spice on page, but the relationship building is good enough that we don't need that.

I really enjoyed this book as a whole, the characters, and the story. If you enjoy European travel, enemies-to-lovers, close proximity, and the one bed trope romances, you will enjoy this journey!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!

This book is a very light and fun summer read, bring it with you on vacation while poolside or on the beach. It’s a perfect palate cleanser if you have been reading darker novels lately like I have.

Ticket to You is a workplace romance that has all of your favorite tropes: one bed (more than once), forced proximity, and the classic enemies to lovers. Ophelia and Adam are both incredibly smart journalists, Ophelia is in fashion and travel and Adam in outdoors. In the beginning, they bump into each other and Adam spills red wine on her one of a king vintage dress. To make things worse, Ophelia overhears Adam saying some not so nice things. Later, Ophelia’s job is on the line and the only one that can help her is Adam and his trip through Europe. What could go wrong?

There is fade to black scenes and I do think the switch from enemies to lovers was fast, but I love that kind of thing, but if you don’t this might not be the book for you. I really enjoyed seeing the mc’s do their interviews, I think that is where I really connected to them the most, especially Ophelia. I also really enjoyed Adam’s postcards- I just might try to start doing that with my travels! Their banter was great and all of the characters really were lovable.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨/5

No spice

I had the opportunity to read an advanced reader’s e-proof of Ticket to You by Florence Fields via NetGalley. All opinions above are my own.

Enemies to lovers ✔️
Workplace romance ✔️
Only one bed ✔️
Forced proximity ✔️
Fade to black ✔️

This is a fun rom-com about Ophelia who works at a fashion magazine but wants to start a travel section. Budget cuts means she has to tag along on a trip with another colleague from a different magazine, same company though. Cue Adam he works for Outdoorsy, they already had a disastrous meeting at the company party. Now they need to spend several days in several countries together, what could possibly happen?

I love these characters they had great sarcastic banter, fun interesting jobs and a great connection to each other. I thought there was some super cute touches, such as Adam with his postcards and the strawberry watch. We also see great family dynamics with Adam's siblings, a rocky relationship with his parents but I loved seeing the development with that. To be perfectly honest this is a fun, cosy, rom-com and I cannot wait to own a physical copy of it. Pick it up on July 23rd.

Thanks to netgalley, the publisher and the author for an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
