All You Need is Greece by Sue Roberts is a Greek Island Escape novel. It has all the makings of a fun rom com, starting with a girl who just broke up and goes to a foreign country to forget about a guy. This rom com definitely has a twist, and I think readers of this genre will enjoy it. The Greek setting was absolutely lovely. Great book overall. All You Need is Greece by Sue Roberts was an enjoyable read.
The main character is Beth who is seeking a fresh start and to get away from a recent break up so she volunteers at an animal rescue shelter in Crete. Some past characters turn up in this story so it was nice to revisit them too.

Beth has just broken up with her fiancé and can’t face all the happy lives up couples all around her. She decides to flee to a villa on the island of Crete where she still can’t seem to escape wedding bells.

Beth’s hosts are getting married surrounded by all their animals so is struggling to forget about her troubles. She tries to find some piece and quiet on the beaches and is enjoying a glass of delicious Greek wine at a local taverna when she meets handsome Artemis.

He has had his heart broken too and they start to bond over their past relationships. She starts to think that maybe she could let Artemis into her heart until she discovers his secret past. Will Beth get past the secret he has been keeping and give her heart a chance on love or will she return home as soon as the wedding has finished?

The book blurb/idea behind this story sounds so cute. "Following the split, I had been thinking about getting away somewhere. So, the ad for the volunteers at the dog rescue in Crete that I saw this morning could be perfect." What a great idea for an adventure. I wanted to be immersed in this story and taken on a trip to Greece. I tried three different times and just wasn't captivated. It felt like being told a recap, not living and experiencing it. I made it to 26% and don't think I can keep going. It might just be the beginning of the school year stress and anxiety (I'm a teacher) but I have to DNF this one. Darn.

I always really enjoy reading Sue Roberts' books, and I enjoyed reading this new summer read from her.

The story is about a woman called Beth who splits up with her fiance, and then she goes to Crete in Greece to work with animals to try and get over her heartbreak and get away from her life for a while. She meets a man called Artemis there, who she likes and fancies, and gets on well with. However, her fiance wants her back, and he will do anything to get what he wants. Who will she choose to be with?

This is a lovely summer romance story which will keep you entertained and delighted while you are on holiday, or while you are sitting in the garden with a cool drink. Highly recommended!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

So happy to return to Crete once more,
To the community and dog rescue I've virtually visited before.
This time it is Beth who has volunteered her aid
After her marriage plans were unmade.

She's off to stay for a month to get away
Hoping the dogs will help alleviate her dismay.
On her arrival she's happy to make a new friend
Who is another volunteer with whom time she can spend.

With the owner of the dog rescue about to be wed,
New friends to make and dogs to be walked and fed,
There's plenty occurring in this small community, too,
Maybe a chance for flirtation - or romance - for two?

A heartwarming read with great characters who
Feel like folks you might meet and be friends with too.
A great setting and places to go see
Seems idyllic, though hard work, to me!

So get your dancing shoes ready, and jet off to see,
Just why this book (and series) appeal so much to me.
There are plenty of surprises and romance, too,
In this great read I highly recommend to you.

For my complementary copy of this book, I say thank you,
I throughly enjoyed reading it and this is my honest review.

The author's adeptness at illustrating landscapes shone vividly, whisking me away to the captivating land of Crete alongside the characters. A cute and fun summer read with all the feels of Greece. Beth runs off to Crete after breaking things off with her fiancée in hopes of healing her broken heart.

Here she meets Artemis, and he shows her around the area and really enjoy each other’s company. But while the goal may have been to heal her broken heart, love is in the air in Crete.

I loved this little story and seeing what Beth decided to do. There was so much growth and soul searching and it was beautiful to see.

The heart of the story is Beth, who's seeking solace and a fresh start after a broken heart. With a spontaneous decision, she embarks on a journey to a small village in Crete to volunteer at an animal rescue shelter. What unfolds is not just a romantic tale, but a journey of self-discovery and healing.

Beth’s relationship has broken up, so what better escape than to visit her aunt in Greece, but when she falls for someone else she needs to question if she is really over her ex.

This is a novel filled with friendship, animals and such vivid descriptions you won’t want to put it down. These characters were so full of life I wanted to be with them.

Roberts writes a full equilibrium that I loved and I look forward to reading more by this author.

What is the best way to get over a broken heart? Beth believes running away and distancing herself from her ex-finance is the cure. Seeing an advertisement for volunteers needed at an animal rescue shelter in Crete, Beth decides to take all of her vacation time and travel to the tiny village to work at the shelter for a month. Unexpectedly, she meets the handsome Artemis who offers to show her around the island. As Beth spends time with Artemis, she starts to fall for him. But is Beth really over her ex-finance and ready for a new love?

Overall, it was a fun and WHOLESOME summer read! I enjoyed being swept away to the beautiful island of Greece where I could picture the vivid scenery and taste all the delicious foods😋. Umm, I suddenly want to go to Greece on a holiday vacation! 🩷🩷🩷🩷

All You Need is Greece is a perfect read for summer. Set in Crete, let this book transport you into the delicious food and scenery of Greece. How I wish that I was enjoying the beautiful vista of Greece right now!

Beth wants some distance from her ex fiance and decides to take a long break from her work to help Judith with her pet rescue program as a volunteer. This book is a series but can be read as a standalone story. Beth makes new friends in Crete, and though she finds love everywhere, she starts realizing what she wants.

This book is so beautiful. All the characters are just so wonderful. There's community, love, and friendship. The story is all about enjoying life no matter what age you are, finding love and purpose no matter life throws at us. I fell in love with all the characters of this book.

Thank you, Bookouture, for this book. All the opinions are my own thoughts.

Do you have cheating boyfriend problems? An Aunt that lives in Greece that runs an animal sanctuary? No? Neither do I, but what a place to escape to when it all goes wrong!

I so need a holiday to Greece now, the authors descriptions made it easy to visualise and it sounds absolutely amazing.

There's Something About Greece is a heartwarming summer romance, the perfect summery beach read. The settings are charming and the characters all realistic, although being an animal lover I have to say they were my favourite.

Overall the book is entertaining, enjoyable and Roberts is my go to author for anything Greece.
