I cannot wait for this book to come out! This has got to be one of the most brilliant historical series I've read in recent years and this taster just left me wanting more!

I've been approved for and sent the full edition - thank you so much!
I loved The Wolf Den and The House With The Golden Door, so I was very thrilled and honoured to be able to read and review this final instalment.
Thank you so much Head of Zeus and NetGalley.

A really interesting extract. Makes me want to read the book
Was very binge worthy and I am sure that the book will be popular. Its definitely a must buy with me.

The Temple of Fortuna is set to be another mesmerising addition to The Wolf Den series, It immediately sets the scene, reintroducing Amaras character and bringing in an atmosphere of anticipation.

I have loved the Wolf Den Trilogy ever since I read the ARC of the first book back in 2021. The Temple of Fortuna is out this November and is the stunning conclusion to Amara’s journey. As the book is set in Pompeii we are sure for an explosive ending!
This is just an excerpt of the book, meant to whet the appetite and the publisher has chosen to give us just the first chapter. Not too much happens, and it doesn’t really end on a cliff-hanger but I know fans such as myself are so excited for the full book, so we don’t really mind! Can’t wait to read this when it comes out in November and thank you to NetGalley and Head of Zeus – Apollo for the sneak peak!

I just finished reading the extract, and even though it’s a short chapter, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Elodie has a way of describing beautiful scenery that is enchanting for the reader. I find her ability to hook the reader with just a few pages fascinating. I am very excited to read the full book, and you should too!

Well this definitely doesn't disappoint, other than its only a taster! The third in this stunning series, we are all waiting in anticipation for the full version - eek!

I've loved the previous two books in this series and - having read this extract - I'm really looking forward to reading the final instalment of the Wolf Den trilogy and continuing with Amara's story. Elodie Harper really manages to bring the ancient world alive with her well-researched and extremely entertaining novels.. It's been a wonderfully well told tale from the very beginning and based on this extract, my expectations are high for the finale.
With thanks to the publishers and Net Galley for an ARC of this extract.

Thank you for the extract. I was waiting for the whole book to read but the curiosity got the better. Now I’m too intrigued and can’t wait to read the complete masterpiece.

Thanks to Netgalley for the sample of The Temple of Fortuna. Based on the extract I will download the series.

Well, obviously I was going to love this. Full version please… *drums fingers impatiently*
After the brilliant first two books, I’m desperate to read the third. IN FULL. 😘
#ImWaiting #🤞🏼 #PrettyPlease

I would have been waiting to read the third book anyway but this definitely makes me want to read the full book. Very intriguing change of venue and characters.

Absolutely pitch perfect writing. I've read the first two books in the series, and so was expecting Amara to be far removed from the world of Pompeii. She's still very much the same person, empathetic but calculated to a fault. I've put in a request for an ARC because I don't think I can wait till November to gush about this third book!

Oooo, we've moved to Rome! I love this series of books by Elodie Harper and have been anticipating the third installment. I was excited to read the extract, which left me hungry for reading the full book. Full book please! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in return for an honest review of this extract of the book.

Review of extract only- so far a similar mix of background knowledge with engaging narrative, it will be interesting to see how Harper wraps this trilogy up!

I really enjoyed this extract, it’s really intrigued me as a reader and I will definitely be buying it when it is published

I couldn't wait to read this extract, I've been longing to find out Amara's fate since her last appearance in 'The House with the Golden Door.' Although this preview doesn't give much away we learn that Amara is safely ensconced within the upper echelons of Roman society, using her talents to spy on behalf of her patron. I'm eager to read the rest as the extract was only ten pages but I'm guessing that this book will have an explosive ending.

This trilogy is a breath of fresh air, opening up an era in history that doesn’t appear that often on the popular fiction shelves

This is a short review of an extract from Elodie Harper's latest book The Temple of Fortuna. This is the final book in the series which began with the outstanding book The Wolf Den.
Have you seen the gorgeous cover for The Temple of Fortuna? Stunning. Very visually appealing.
Chapter 1 begins in Rome in September AD 79. Amara is saying goodbye to Queen Berenice. Queen Berenice is being banished from Rome due to political reasons by her lover Emperor Titus.Amara is there are the request of her patron.
Whilst this chapter is mostly focused on Rome, there is the odd nod to the previous book.
"The wealth surrounding Amara is a different world from the darkness that shaped her in the Wolf Den, but for all the splendour here, there is still pain."
When Amara sees Queen Berenice she is unsurprised to see she has tears pouring down her face,
"Even the most powerful woman can be broken by love."
The reader gains little hints that all may not be well in Rome. Amara doesn't like the journey home and doesn't like venturing out in Rome at night.
"Who knows if a jumped up Greek courtesan might find herself attracting the violence the graffiti writers wanted to inflict in the banished Queen? Rome has always had an edge, under the surface like hot embers ready to burst into flame, but never more so than now."
I found it interesting as well that there was a brief mention of Philos. Hopefully we will find out more about Philos in this book.
"Against her will, Amara thinks of Philos, of what it felt like to be with a man who held her as if he never wanted to let her go. Whose love she never doubted. She crushes the memory, instead smiling at her patron, pretending she doesn't feel the ache of loneliness in her heart."
The extract of The Temple of Fortuna was superb and the wait for publication will be all the more torturous after reading this.

The continuing saga of Amara who is now living in Rome under the patronage of Demetrius.
The story starts with the banishment of Berenice, longtime lover of Titus. Titus has recently come to power on the death of his father. He is reluctant to release Berenice, and she is desperate to stay, but the powers surrounding the court have made it quite clear she has to go.
Amara visits Berenice, along with many others, to say goodbye. The details of the people she meets and who she sees have to be relayed back to Demetrius so that he can keep abreast of the comings and goings of the court.
This is as well written as the previous books in the series, and the reader is immediately drawn into the Roman world of the time. Beautifully descriptive, the author’s slant on the lives of both the rich and the poor of Rome is outstanding.
A very short sample to judge, but it really whetted the appetite for what’s to come. I have no doubt that the work will be as excellent as the rest in the series.
Thank you NetGalley.
