As an experienced and frequent bread-maker I requested this for ideas to broaden my bread making game. It certainly does that in an imaginative and fun way. Lots of brilliant ideas to spruce up the appearance, and taste, of Focaccia. I typically go for the odd bits of onion/herbs across the top - tasty if not artistic. This has given me a lot of ideas to produce a beautiful looking bread, the crown on the table rather than background. There is also a thorough and clear section at the beginning for those not familiar with focaccia or bread making thus it's an all-round book really. Measurements are in cups and metric. Ingredients all easily found in any town. A little repetitive, especially for the first couple of stages of vegetable preparation but once you've made a couple of the breads you'll gloss over them. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy.
I've made focaccia a few times in the past few months. I was interested in this book to learn how to make it fancy.
There are three main bread recipes here - a white focaccia, a whole wheat, and a sweet focaccia. The white is similar to what I've made before. I'd also be interested in the trying the sweet one.
The main focus of this book, after learning how to make the bread, is decorating. The author shows ideas for how to decorate using vegetables and herbs. She shows how to make many types of flowers, how to make decorations for holidays, and how emulate the styles of different artists in bread. They are very pretty and will inspire you to try to be more artistic when baking bread for parties.
I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook.
Wow what a beautiful book! I have been seeing these breads on Pinterest and I just think wow how beautiful!
When I saw this book come up I was so excited to get gifted it. We are given the basic focaccia recipe and then the real magic/art begins. I have never made focaccia bread before so I can't wait to give this a go.
The photos are beautiful and I love how the author even created artwork bread from famous paintings ha! Highly recommend for all bakers out there.

What a stunning book! I have recently gotten into baking and this book is so inspiring. The photos in the book are gorgeous and original. I've never seen bread decorating quite like this before. I particularly enjoyed the "Artist Inspired" section of the book.... I mean Van Gogh bread?! Count me in! Love this book!
