🩷 Breast cancer mention
🩵 Leukemia mention
🩷 Talks of divorce
🩵 Talks of a dad not wanting his child
The storyline was well written but overall it felt really slow maybe because I wasn’t fully prepared for the way Danielle Steel writes. I really enjoyed the way she puts characters together! 🥰 Also, love how she gives representation to other real life things in her books like cancer, divorce, parents no5 wanting to be in their children’s lives because things like that make a story more realistic! 🫶🏻 This is my first one of this author but won’t be my last. 😉

NEVER TOO LATE
Danielle Steel
Romance / Women’s Fiction
Kezia and Sam are new neighbors and finding themselves attracted to each other. When tragedy hits they both throw themselves into volunteer work. Will the tragedy pull this new relationship apart or throw them closer together.
This new book is quite possibly my favorite Danielle Steel book so far. Filled with romance, drama and tragedy all mixed together, this was my kind of book. I would give this one a 5 out of 5 stars.

In DS latest reinventing relationships and your life are themes explored. Kezia moves to NYC after the death of her husband to be closer to her daughters. One night of tragedy upends her life and her neighbor a famous actor. As she volunteers to help she realizes maybe it’s not too late to go back to a career she once loved. Her daughters each have to make some changes in their lives. Kate who has been in a dead end relationship must make a decision regarding her present relationship. Felicity newly engaged makes th decision to marry and navigate that with her career. It’s a story of connection and new starts. Light read that will resonate with DS legion of fans.

I didn't like this one very much. It began fairly routine, but I absolutely hated the horrific disaster Steel manufactured. I didn't want to read about it even if it was fictitious.
That soured the book for me. I also thought Kate was a horrible character and despised her parts of the book, even after she got her head out of her rear end.
This was not one of Steel's better books.

This story was a fantastic read. There were great characters that drove the storyline and kept me interested and reading.

Im on the fence about this one - if I just liked it - or if I LIKED it.
Death of spouse - check
Cross country move - check
strained relationship w daughter - check
Random movie star living next door - check
Complete and utter terroristic devestation - check
Everything magically falling into place - Exactly what I would expect from a Danielle Steel novel so I'm def not disappointed.
Yes, I'm a sucker for a happy ending - real life is so unpredictable that we all expect the worst all the time and reading is an escape. Never Too Late gave me that for a few hours. Thank you to Netgalley, Danielle Steel and Macmillan for an ARC of Never Too Late in exchange for an honest review.

I have always loved Danielle Steel's books. Lately, I feel like the books are rushed and not much character development and not much interaction between characters. I just feel like she rushes through the books to get so many out per year. This has made me sad, I have loved her earlier books.

I really enjoy this book. Storyline was really good. And characters were loveable. Really liked this book

I’ve read alot of Danielle Steel books over the years but found this storyline unsettling. New York city and 9/11 as a backdrop to a story is one thing but a second more vicious attack is just disturbing. Too soon. The side story of the widow meeting and falling in love with the famous movie star was predictable. Seemed like a bad attempt to intertwine the typical love story with a horrible attack by Americans on American soil. Very disappointing. Not at all what I expected from a Danielle Steel novel.

An act of terror. A summer of change . . .Never Too Late is a stirring drama about the power of human connection and embracing brave change, Danielle Steel's books always keep me interested! thank you netgalley and the publisher for the arc in exchange for a review.

Kezia is ready to begin a new chapter. She has sold her home in a tony neighborhood. Stepped away from her charitable responsibilities and purchased a home in a New York high rise. Just as she is settling in, getting her bearings, meeting her neighbors, tragedy strikes the downtown area. The incident bring her and Sam closer , but it also helps her put a light on what she needs to feel fulfilled. I love this new direction Ms Steele has for her characters as they navigate beyond the acquisition of assets and ambitions. I like the depth of each of these people as they allow their children their own lives , content to witness rather than control. Advise with no interference. It’s a new perspective and it’s welcome. Happy reading

Danielle Steel is always a consistent, satisfying read. Never Too Late is a lovely novel about the joys of finding a fruitful second half of life in a new city. Kezia Cooper is a strong businesswoman and mother of daughters, both of which resound for me. I enjoyed the ups and downs in her relationships with her daughters as well as the budding romance. Never Too Late is a comfortable, not overly angsty novel about finding yourself and living your best life in spite of life's tragedies.

Another feel good story from Danielle Steel.
If you are a fan of Steel's books, the story and the plot will not be a surprise. While so many of her books feel the same, the story is always different. Even in a short(ish) book, Steel has the ability to make you feel with the characters.
Kezia and her daughters, Sam and his son - all come together in New York. There are blooming romances and a not so broken heart. You will find yourself cheery on everyone!

Never Too Late is a haunting novel of two people caught in the throws of a tragedy that effected all of us. It is New York, September 11, 2001. It is a day like no other in our nation's history and one where people came together. The emotional events of that day naturally translated to a common bond for two people that might likely have never met. Danielle Steel tells their story as only she can, the bond, the continuing tug at the heart of two adults destined after that day to share more than ever. Thoroughly enjoyed this book. It contains Steel's usual rich characters, and the setting that most of us will never forget. Thanks to #NetGalley#NeverTooLate for the opportunity to read and review this latest of Steel's books.

Having witnessed 9/11, I was consumed with the novel,Never Too Late by Danielle Steel. This book revolves around tragedy and relationships. It also installs the idea that romance can be born at any age and can happen more than once in your life. Read this book to find out how tragedy can bring happiness to a widow and her family.
Thank you to Net galley for allowing me to read this novel prior to its publication.

Kezia a recently widowed woman arrives in New York from San Francisco determined to make a fresh start. She moves into a beautiful midtown penthouse in the city that she always loved and her two adult daughters live. As Kezia settles in her new apartment she meets her movie-star next door neighbor Sam Stewart whose terrace borders hers. After a couple weeks there was a devastating crisis in the bringing Kezia and Sam connecting over their strong impulse to help those in need. This story shows the importance of human connections embracing brave change proving it’s never too late for a brand new start. Danielle Steel did a great job on their story it was very enjoyable and a great read. I would recommend to everyone.

I’ve read Danielle Steel for many years. She’s always consistent with delivering books I know I’ll love, often with characters I can relate to in age. I enjoy the romance she writes, with the real-life problems tied in. There’s often some tragic events that bring some heartbreaking moments & sometimes a need for tissues. I haven’t read one #DS book I don’t enjoy. #NeverTooLate delivers another beautiful story with characters I’m rooting for and love.
Thank you, Danielle Steel, Random House, Ballantine, Delacorte Press, & @netgalley for my copy! All opinions are my own.

This is a story of healing, letting go and moving on. Kezia left her home of 25years after her late husbands business folded and she couldn't be happier to move to New York City. She found the perfect apartment and she was going to be closer to her two girls. On July 4th Kezia is on her terrace watching fireworks when she sees big bombs going off and isn't sure what is happening. Her neighbor Sam opens the hedges and asks if she can figure out what is going on. They are both unsure until they watch the news. A tragic event unfolds and Sam and Kezia are together every step of the way.
I absolutely loved this one. It is really easy to fa!l for Sam from how he treats Kezia. I loved all the characters except one. I felt the family connection between the sisters even if they were at odds. It was an incredible story of strength, determination and hope.

Terror and romance in NYC
Like many of author Steel's books, Never Too Late started out like an info dump. It seems like Steel wants to get all the pertinent background info onto the beginning pages before she starts dealing with anything messy like emotions or character development. The first probably third of the book was like this.
After all the background info was noted down, then the story had a chance to open up and I enjoyed it.
Kezia Cooper Hobson has been widowed for five years and decides to leave "small-town" San Francisco to move to New York City for the excitement and also because that's where her two grown daughters live. She purchases a penthouse apartment, not realizing that her new next-door neighbor is Sam Stewart, a famous U.S. actor who has been a widower for two years.
Right after Kezia moves in to her new apartment, there is a terrible act of terrorism in NYC and she and Sam get involved - with the aftermath and each other.
Their stories unfold, as do their grown children's.
