Well. My goodness. I didn’t know what to expect when I requested this title and it definitely would have helped to read the previous books for some context into the other characters, but it was 85% erotica and 15% plot so it ended up being pretty easy to follow for the most part.

And I gotta say the smut was *chef’s kiss*. Just top notch. I was absolutely excited to read a poly book, although I wasn’t sure I’d like MMF as much as FFM but you know what? I was into it. And definitely pro bi-guy representation!

I also want to comment that it was well written which I sometimes find to be a rarity in fantasy romance and erotica, but nothing in particular stood out to me as cheesy or made me groan. There is, however, plenty to make you moan. 😳🤣

WoooooWeeee!!! If you have been keeping up with this series, you know what you are in for in terms of spice and steamy scenes. This book is the 6th installment in the Dark Olympus series and is the story of the threesome: Eurydice, Charon and Orpheus. The story moves a bit closer to figuring out who might be trying to destroy Olympus on the political and military front. Hades is forced to take action for the inhabitants of the Lower City. Eurydice and Orpheus had broken up because he was a terrible boyfriend and he almost killed Eurydice because of his reckless choices. She sought refuge in the Lower City and Charon has been her bodyguard (and secretly falling in love with her). Eurydice has been falling for Charon and she makes him a proposal. However, Charon knows her well enough that he can see that she still has feelings for Orpheus. Charon goes to see Oprheus and they work out an arrangement. Eventually, they all find themselves in a threesome, navigating the nuances of a poly relationship and off the charts sex. I did like that they are stronger together. They are all working to uncover the threat to Olympus. Lots of previous characters are woven into this story. Most notably Persephone and Hades. I love this modern retelling of Greek Mythology. If you are into this series, you will get through this book quick. It’s hard to put down once you get started. This book will be out January 16, 2024. Mark your calendars!

Thank you to Sourcebooks for this eARC! Oh boy things are heating up in the lower city and not just in the fun sexy way! This book was of course so hot and full of love and complication for our main three characters but it also felt like a massively important installment in the Crescendo of this series. Olympus is in trouble, the lower city is threatened, war is looming. Everything could end tomorrow so you might as well make both your partners scream in pleasure as many times as you can!

The plot was plotting in this book and I was living for it. I was hoping there would be more plot compared to the last book which had almost none, so I was very excited to see it. This one was also my favorite triad that Katee has done to date and it just has me so excited for Zeus and Hera's book and for Hermes' book as well (though I know we still have a ways to go)

I enjoyed Midnight Ruin. It was a good balance of plot and sex, without being too unrealistic. The sex scenes were descriptive and fun to read.

I really liked the first few books in this series. But as the series keeps going I feel like the books are getting worse. I did not like this one.

I feel like now the storylines are pretty much the same when it comes to the love interests. This one reminded me of Wicked Beauty since it has the trio that wants to be together. Other than that, I do feel like this story is getting closer to the "plot" of the series but it is definitely dragging along. The book itself is a quick read and has good spice.

This was the first book I've read by Katee Robert and I loved the concept of greek mythology combined with the modern day world. However, this book wasn't a favourite for me because throughout the whole book, whenever Orpheus appeared, my mind was screaming MAJOR RED FLAGGGG!!! And whenever Charon appeared I was like GREEN FLAGGGG!!! If you can't already tell I was way more of a Charon and Eurydice shipper rather than the threesome relationship they have. I kind of had to keep reminding myself to focus on the main characters in Midnight Ruin as I wasn't really interested in Orpheus in general. I was definitely not into his redemption arc, I feel like he didn't deserve redemption and/or the way it was handled in the book happened way too quickly. I feel like each book in this series will be enjoyable to different people based on the tropes they like. For instance, Zeus and Hera were barely mentioned in this book but I instantly knew they were going to be my favourite! Hence the reason why I needed to read the novella of Zeus and Hera immediately after. LET'S JUST SAY I'M OBSESSED WITH THEM AND NEED THEIR BOOK TO BE THE NEXT ONE ASAPPP!!! I think this just shows that depending on the tropes within a book, I'll be more drawn to it like Zeus and Hera with the Enemies to Lovers vibes and strong Female Lead.

Midnight Ruin is the 6th book in the Dark Olympus series, so if you’ve read any of the previous books you know what you are in for. The story of Eurydice, Charon, and Orpheus is definitely spicy, and also serves to move the bigger story of Olympus along. I really enjoyed it.

As this series continues, Katee Robert keeps the macro-plot moving all while providing hot and tender relationships between the central couple, or in this case, throuple! As always Katee's books have characters who are diverse and casually queer. We love to see it!

I loved getting to see Eurydice come into her own as a mover and a shaker in the Lower City as well as her development as a switch in this relationship with Charon and Orpheus. After being a man in the shadows, Charon is fleshed out and quickly becomes one of my favorites. Orpheus earned his redemption in my opinion, but your mileage may vary.

I loved getting that reveal in the mystery of the macro-plot and am really excited to see how everything will continue to go in the next books!

Eurydice, Charon, and Orpheus were such individual characters with their own personalities and reasons to be invested in them and yet they meshed together so well and the romance and spice between them was perfection.
On top of this there was a gripping plot that kept me flipping through the pages and has me wanting to reread this series once more.
You did it again Katee! And we love you for it.

I really like all that Katee Robert writes. I know things will end up well, even if I don't know how they're going to get there. I also like that there seems to be more of a plot happening now.

This book was such a surprise after not enjoying the last book much. The plot actually picked up fairly quickly in this one and kept me engaged the entire time. I predicted the big bad early on and I was so excited when I was right. This book definitely built up all the little plots and delivered on the action. I’m so excited to see what happens next!

Midnight Ruin is the BEST book in the series yet! This is exactly what I was left wanting in the previous book. The characters are ones you can connect with whether it’s Charon who has fallen for his best friend or it’s Orpheus who has messed up and will do anything to get back the love of his life or if you relate more to Eurydice nursing a broken heart and unsure if you can give it your all in the next relationship.

Katee Robert does such a great job flushing these characters out to make the reader care about them and their journey. what a journey it is, through heartbreak and forgiveness to finding love again in new and old places. She did an amazing job of covering the journey from heartbreak to forgiveness. It didn’t feel rushed or fake, it felt like a natural progression of things as they dealt with various issues.

Of course there’s spice in this and while this is the first time I’ve read a book that has puppy play or whatever it’s called, I appreciate that she didn’t go hardcore into that particular kink but touched on it lightly. Other than that the spice is typical Katee fashion and super hot.

Okay aside from the romance and spice this book was packed with danger and intrigue and you couldn’t help but feel like the stakes had been up’d in this book. You find out tons of information and truly felt a big forward momentum in the overall series story ARC. It feels like we’re on the precipice of something big happening in the next book or two.

Like I said in the beginning this book is the best in the series so far and this one left me looking forward to the next book and seeing what more information we can glean from Ariadne and the Minotaur. I can’t wait to see the fallout of decisions made in this book in the next book. It will make for some very Interesting reading!!

Where to even start! The Dark Olympus series is easily one of my most favorite series. In a series that I thought would be mainly smut the stakes are higher than ever and the plot has developed so much over the last 5 books and Midnight Ruin kept it going, I am absolutely loving it. It might be tied with Electric Idol as my favorite in the series so far. Now while yes there is so much plot, it’s Katee Robert so you know there’s plenty of spice and whoah it was hot!!!! I absolutely loved the dynamic between Eurydice, Charon, and Orpheus I was totally blushing and kicking my feet like a teenage girl! I can’t wait for more of this series, I’m so excited and nervous to see the fate of Olympus.

I have really enjoyed all the books in the series and Midnight Ruin is as good as expected!

This book jumps into the spicy aspects pretty early on and hits all the "why chose" high points. In some ways not much happens beyond three people coming together in a developing triad while the world falls apart around them. In other ways, the overall Dark Olympus plot gets furthered quite a bit. Robert subtly weaves together all the plots to date for the big reveal of what is now facing this carefully built world. You can read this one just for the smut, or just the plot, or both, and you won't be disappointed. The most important bit: I am dying for more in this series and can't wait to see what happens next!

This might be my new favorite book by Katee Robert. I was kicking my feet and panting all the way through!

Eurydice, Charon, & Orpheus. So this is my first book in this series. I think this book can be read as a standalone but there were some events that happened in previous books that were mentioned in this one. The first 1/3 of the book was a challenge to get through but I blame that on starting in the middle of the book.

When the spice picked up after the first 1/3rd I was hooked. These 3 were crazy hot together. IDK if I believe the insta-chemistry between Charon & Orpheus but I can see that they both are in love with Eurydice due to prior history with each other. I am glad that they didn't instantly go to "I love you"s between our MMCs but they said, I care about you and I can see myself falling in love with you.

This book definitely proves that this is an ongoing series and I'm actually excited to read the other books in the series. Not to mention the next book in the series because I want to see what happens with Ariadne.

Katee Robert books make me fall in love! And the spice only makes me swoon a little harder. We delve deeper into this modern Greek God masterpiece and I was so invested in the characters as seeing previous characters from the previous books in the series that made me feel like coming back home. Overall, hot, steamy, and I can't wait to read more.
