I've enjoyed most of the books in this series and I enjoyed parts of this one as well, it's a bit shorter so the romance felt a little more rushed, and maybe it's just me but I don't really care too much about the "war" in Olympus

I devoured this book in two sittings. We return to Olympus, this time from Eurydice’’s, Charon’s, and Orpheus, POV. With lots of scorching hot romance, I am also loving the plot line of these books that Katee is creating. Things in Olympus have turned to pure chaos, and each book leaves me waiting for the next one. Can’t wait to see what happens next for Olympus.

Midnight Ruin by K. Robert, published by Sourcebooks Casablanca, is book 6 in the Dark Olympus Series.
Eurydice was the innocent sister, but she's ready to step out of the shadow of her powerful family.
Charon has been Hades's right-hand man for years. He's given everything to the lower city, but now he's ready to take something for himself. He's only too happy to give Eurydice a special kind of education…but is her heart really free enough to be claimed?
Orpheus Makos will do whatever it takes to make things right.Begging, groveling what ever it takes. Three hearts. Three futures.

A love triangle story of its finest, a fantastic read.

Katee Robert does it again. Throws you right back into Olympus with a bang and takes you on a journey through a place that feels so familiar now.
I’ve loved all of the books so far and the relationships that they tell. I loved the development of the three characters and how it pulled the story that has been building up through.
You need to have read the earlier ones, this isn’t a standalone and it builds on so much and creates more for the future. It feels like an extension of the story and I think this type of book was needed to help progress it.
Of course it is hot, it’s a Katee Robert, but this one seems to tell the story more, the behind the scenes. I still adored it regardless.

Eurydice is ready to move on from Orpheus. Would Charon be the right person to teach her everything? Would Orpheus be willing to share Eurydice?

Katee always write hot and sexy books. This is another steamy one. I like the underworld and the olympus world. Charon is the best. It's terrific that he finally got his book! The political intrigue get more interesting... and what an ending! :) Love the glimpses of Hera/Zeus and Hades/Persephone too. Another exciting read.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

Full of political intrigue and steamy encounters, each book in this series is better than the one before. It really hits the spot.

Eurydice has always been the innocent sister with an ex that shattered her heart. Orpheus will do whatever it takes to get Eurydice back, even if it means she isn’t coming alone. Charon is happy to give Eurydice the special attention she deserves. Can the three of them learn to get along or will they get it wrong?

With enemies slipping through Olympus’s faltering barrier to lay siege on the lower city, broken hearts will be the least of their worries.

This is one of those series that I have read from the beginning, and I am happy to be on the ride until the very end. I have enjoyed all of the books, and this one was a lot of fun as well. I enjoyed reading about the relationship between Eurydice, Orpheus, and Charon and how it grew and developed over the course of the book. The way they worked out their insecurities and communication were just amazing. As always, Katee Robert writes amazing spice scenes, and this book did not disappoint at all in quality or quantity. This MFM relationship was just a lot of fun to read and this one had some fun tropes that I didn’t know I would enjoy reading about. The pacing is quick, and the story held my interest throughout. I didn’t want to put this one down.

The preview for the next book was so exciting and it can’t come soon enough for me!

Thank you so much to Sourcebooks Casablanca @sourcebookscasa and Netgalley @netgalley for this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

Was I in the middle of reading something I was really enjoying when I got this ARC? Yep.

Did I drop it immediately to start reading this book? Also yep.

Did I put it down once I started reading it? Nope.

I have loved every single book in this series and eagerly await each one so it’s no surprise that I reneged on all non-mandatory obligations (and some mandatory) in order to finish this. Every time I pick up one of Robert’s books I know I am going to be pushed a little out of my comfort zone and I feel a little nervous. There’s always an element of ‘am I going to like this?’ or ‘what’s this kink now?

There was an added layer of trepidation this time because I knew Orpheus was going to be one of the main characters and I was like, ‘f@#% that guy’.

I should not have been worried. Robert has a way of drawing a reader in and making them love her characters no matter what. They are complicated, they mess up often and they are never irredeemable.

From the start of the story there is an element of instability. There’s always been infighting but now Olympus is under attack from an unknown entity and the Thirteen and their families seem to be scrambling to put out fires. We’re in the Lower city, Hades and Persephone’s domain where, up until now, things have been relatively calm but they soon find out they are no invulnerable.

Things are a bit up in the air for Eurydice as well. Orpheus really did a number on her and she has no idea when or if she will ever be truly free of her love for him. She also has real feelings for her best friend Charon but worries she can’t give her whole heart to him without first letting go of Orpheus.

Charon’s a delight. He is completely in love with Eurydice and would do absolutely anything just to have any part of her. Overprotective, loyal, brooding, crazy brave and so sweet – he has to be one of my favourite characters so far in this series.

As the trio get pulled into political intrigue and danger it’s so satisfying to see them work through challenges together and grow. Eurydice, who always seemed the meekest of all the sisters, finds an inner strength and assertiveness which really gives the story its heart.

I also relished some of the puzzle pieces coming together, moving the overarching storyline along at a brisk pace.

The scenes that Euryidice, Charon and Orpheus carry out together are incredibly hot and emotional at the same time. This skill in a writer of erotic fiction is important and underestimated. Once you reach the explosive ending of this book, you’ll be completely in love and never want to leave this incredible world.

I think it’s important to read the series from the beginning for context – you won’t be disappointed that you did. Each book is unique and wonderful in its own way and this one is no exception.

I know that this review has been all jazz hands and squee but I want to convey that it’s been an absolute pleasure to review this book. Almost as much as reading it.

I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Wow, Blow me away Katee Roberts! Midnight Ruin is book six in this seven book series, you really should start with book one Neon God's to better understand the characters.
Eurydice's brother in law Hade's owns a kink club where Eurydice's likes to watch the action. Charon is Hade's right hand man, Eurydice's unofficial protector and is falling in love with her. Orpheus broke Eurydice's heart and wants her back. Which man will she choice? One or both or will all three end up with broken hearts?
Will the upper and lower city fail? Will there be a civil war after someone tries to kill Hade's wife and unborn child? I urge you to read this wonderful story and find out. As for me I fell in love with Charon and will be rooting for him.

Katee Robert has done it again!! I truly loved Neon Gods, and seeing what is happening now, plus the story being fleshed out, this book tops 5 stars for me!!

I really love the take on mythology Katee is using. Eurydice, being one of my favourites, I was so thankful to read this. The dynamic with Orpheus, plus adding in Charon, yes please. The exploration in this book of this triangle was fantastic!

I have found my new favorite title by Katee Robert!! I never thought a book would top Neon Gods but here we are...

The relationship between Eurydice, Orpheus, and Charon is absolutely amazing! The way that they are able to communicate with each other, and work out the insecurities, is something we should all strive to achieve within our own relationships.

There is nothing in this book that I did not enjoy, the writing, 5 stars, the plot, 5 stars, the characters, 5 stars! I cannot wait until the next title in this series is released, I have a feeling the epic battle we have been anticipating is about to hit its climax.

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to review this title!

After the attack on Eurydice in Neon Gods, Orpheus doesn't think he stands a chance in hell to get her back. Especially not after Charon lays things out for him. Instead, he crosses the River Styx to find Eurydice and Charon in a comprising position, which honestly is the least of his problems. Chaos reigns over in the Upper City and Eurydice must find her place amongst her lovers and her family, or fall with Olympus.

This book was perfection. I loved each of our main characters and I loved how the story has grown with each book. Did I call our big bad literally three pages before? Yes. Did I scream about Charon, Eurydice, and Orpheus? You bet i f*cking did.

The pacing worked really well, feeling both very fast but complete throughout the story. The action balanced out the romance and the plot and the SPICE. Let me tell you about the spice. The spice was chef's kiss. Charon was perfect, the right amount of Hade's right hand man and man who knows what he wants. Eurydice was complex and a delight. Orpheus was swoon worthy in his penance and in his self discovery.

10/10

Thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the ARC copy of Midnight Ruin in exchange for my review. All words and thoughts are my own.

Midnight Ruin is the 6th out of 10 books in Katee Robert's Dark Olympus series, bringing us the story of Eurydice, Orpheus, and Charon's romance as the looming threat to Olympus continues to develop.

This has to be one of my favorite in the series - I loved seeing Eurydice break out of her shell and grow into her own person, without the scrutiny and overbearing vigilance of her sisters.
Orpheus, as promised by Katee Robert, did indeed mega grovel to attempt to atone for his actions in Neon Gods. I went into this thinking I would continue to hate his character throughout this book given what he did in Neon Gods, and I partially still do, to be honest, but Katee Robert is a pro at switching you over unlikeable characters.
Charon was a gem, which I expected nothing less based on his brief cameos in Neon Gods, however, we see more of his involvement in the Lower City and just how much he cares about Eurydice -- we love a man who knows what he wants.
We find out some very interesting details regarding the benefactor behind Minos and all the chaos that has been happening, and of course, more Callisto/Hera and Zeus teasers, because who doesn't love that?
Lastly, it is a classic Katee Robert spicy book, and they dialed it to 10, so there's that, and representation of LGBTQ+ and BIPOC characters is not lacking!

My only criticism is how characters are introduced - the one-sentence description immediately after their first appearance rather than a continuous stream of characterizations throughout the story is awkward and felt a bit forced at times.
Overall, yes I will be purchasing the physical copy and the rest of the books in this series. Highly recommend if you are/were a Greek mythology fan who's into entertaining HEAs (and spice).

Was approved to read this via NetGalley less than 8 hours ago and here we are, already finished. This is quite possibly the best entry yet in Robert's Neon Gods series. The perfect balance of romance and politics, everything I've wanted from this series. A beautiful blend of diversity, kink, consent, boundaries, and best of all, polyamory. Again, quite possibly the best entry yet! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the free advance copy.

Thank you to Sourcebooks and Edelweiss for the ARC in exchange for an honest review

This is the sixth book in the series, while it probably can be read as a standalone I think it will be enjoyed more having read the other books in the series

CW: violence, murder, blood, guns, pregnancy and abortion (off page, not FMC), consensual kink

I would recommend if you're looking for (SPOILERS)

-MFM contemporary romance
-friends to lovers
-pining
-grovel through puppy play
-second chance
-forced proximity
-suspense
-he paints her blue

I've been waiting to see Orpheus grovel since book 1, but of course Katee Robert dropped the mic and said no he won't just grovel I'm going to add in some puppy play and I was screaming. There is so much mess in this book and I loved it. This series features such layered people, no one is perfectly good or evil (Okay well some are really evil) but there's just so much mess mixed in with great sex.

Charon has been patiently waiting for Eurydice to get over Orpheus (and the car sex is epic) but hey if you're not getting over someone have him get under you and have I mentioned the puppy play. I adored the dynamic of these 3 as they figured out their relationship, all while dealing with the messy politics of Olympus. Eurydice has been seen in the other books through the eyes of her sisters but now she's grown up and trying to figure out what she wants. Asking for what she wants in and out of the bedroom. I had a lot of fun with this fun and loved seeing the peek into Hades and Persephone's HEA.

I cannot wait for the next installment because Olympus is imploding and I have given up predicting what's coming next.

Steam: 4

Oh lord another Katee Robert book. Not complaining: how does she write these so quickly?!

Dark Olympus as a series has been wildly off and on for me, at this point I’m about ready for it to wrap up and be done with. The overarching conflict of the books, rising crime and a failing barrier between Olympus and the rest of the world, moves at a glacial pace and I’m honestly just not that invested anymore. I felt at the end of this about like I did for every other book before it, like not much happened here but there are hints that things are FINALLY about to MAYBE move forward?? I just don’t know if I trust that anymore. As for this book particularly, it was pretty good, but it just doesn’t stand out the way some others have. I don’t think Electric Idol will be topped for my favorite out of the series, and that’s okay by me. Eurydice, Charon, and Orpheus were a relationship we had a lot of backstory going in on and I appreciated having a level of investment from the get go, still like I said it was fine but not a new ultimate best. Could have taken or left it all things considered.

I don't know how I feel about the Dark Olympus series at this point. I loved seeing Hades and Persephone again. Euridicye's storyline started in Neon Gods and we've been waiting for resolution. Happy she's happy and overall like the relationships developed in the novel

Another fun edition to the Dark Olympus Series! This one felt more plot focused but I’m invested and can’t wait to see what happens next. 🤩

Fans of the previous books in the series should be delighted. It feels very similar, and it’s easy to read and follow. I stopped after chapter 1 (5%), but definitely see it being four stars from her fans.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks for the ARC.
