Another great installment in the Dark Olympus series. This one focuses on Eurydice, Orpheus and Charon with an interesting dynamic in the relationship. while the realm of Olympus itself is trying to keep out those that would see it destroyed.

Thank you to NetGalley for access to this great book!!
Midnight Ruin is the 6th book in the Dark Olympus series. Ive read all of the previous books - I think it makes for a clearer storyline - however there is enough information in each book that you may be able to get away without. Neon Gods has an important part of Eurydice and Orpheus’ storyline and you get a bit more from Apollo (Orpheus’ brother) in Radiant Sin.
Eurydice Dimitriou is the youngest of Demeter’s daughter’s. She’s been overprotected by her family, in this book she’s trying to spread her wings a bit and has been helping Eris with getting information from Adriane. Charon is her shadow who follows her around with heart eyes… but she’s not quite over her ex boyfriend Orpheus.
This book is HOT!! I really like the spice but a thorough storyline - especially through different characters eyes in the series - looking forward to seeing what happens in Olympus next!

My least favourite in the series by a long shot, though I think that has a lot to do with Orpheus. Katee did a good job at trying to redeem him, but there was nothing the whiney little dude could do that made me want to forgive his crap.
Caron and Eurydice were fine, though I do wish the were a slightly slower burn than we received here.
The rest of this book just felt very filler, which meant—though I’m still looking forward to the rest of the series—Midnight Ruin left me disappointed.

The further in I get in this series the more exciting it becomes!
This one features Eurydice, Charon, and Eurycide’s ex, Orpheus. Eurydice wants to prove she can handle herself, and also help both Olympus and the lower city by gathering intel on who’s orchestrating the threat against Olympus, and the 13. Charon, who is to protect her, is also in love with her. But he knows she has to overcome her feelings for Orpheus. Orpheus knows he screwed up, and goes to face up to it. Anyway they all tangle in the sheets together so to speak. There’s a bit of humiliation kink, and Orpheus is happy to do the groveling. What’s surprising is how Charon and Orpheus react to each other. Eurydice, you lucky girl.
I enjoyed this one a lot because once again the ever present question of who’s orchestrating Olympus’ downfall still looms. They’re getting closer to discovering who - we even get a name! The story has a good balance of romance, smut, mystery, and action as things get tenuous.
I love this series! I know what to expect, yet can still be surprised by twists and turns. I’m in this for the long haul, and thank goodness there are more books coming!
Thank you @ NetGalley & @sourcebookscasa for my ARC in exchange for an honest review. 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗥𝘂𝗶𝗻 is out now!

Just another great addition to the Mythology twist collection from Katee Roberts. I have indulged in almost everything she has written, and I have LOVED this series. She does novella retellings like no one else.

Another book in the Dark Olympus series! Olympus is under attack now more than ever and we finally find out who the big bad is, which was very exciting! Also we got to flush out Eurydice and Orpheus and what all went down there. We also get to see Charon and Eurydice's relationship form. Katee Robert has been very good at writing thrupples and I really enjoyed this book. Can't wait for Ariadne's book!!
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review!

First off, I'd like to thank NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book.
I am a huge, unapologetic Katee Robert fan, and have read all of her books. Midnight Ruin is the 6th book in the Dark Olympus series, and I HIGHLY recommend you read the other 5 first. The reasons being, because A) they are great, and B) they will greatly help you follow the character stories and overall plot and story arc.
There was a content note to start the book, being: it's dark and spicy with some violence, murder, blood, guns, and some possible triggers including pregnancy and abortion (though neither are major plot points). Honestly, the note just made me more excited to read the book! And let me tell you, this book was GOOD!
As with its predecessors, we are again in Olympus (upper city = Zeus, lower city = Hades). There is still drama going on with The Thirteen (the ruling Olympians) and still issues with the city's barrier failing. There have been increasing numbers of assassination attempts as people try to take over the Thirteen titles and Olympus is very chaotic.
This book started out a bit slow and is basically a retelling/reimagining of Eurydice and Orpheus' story. Remember from book 1 that Orpheus betrayed Eurydice), so we've finally gotten back around to them. Orpheus must pay penance to Eurydice for his betrayal, and also for her to get closure to move on. Enter Charon, Hades' right-hand man and Eurydice's "friend" who she obviously has feelings for. Charon wants to be with Eurydice but wants to make sure she has moved on, so he invites Orpheus to the lower city. This is when things really heat up! Not only is there spice between Eurydice and Charon, but there is still spice between Eurydice and Orpheus. That puts us back into Roberts' signature couple/throuple/quad territory with some possible Dom/Sub relationships. It's a wild ride and the sex scenes in this book are SPICY.
I am definitely recommending this book to all my spice-loving friends out there. If you like the spicy romances, go read Midnight Ruin! You won't be disappointed. And don't mind me, I will just be anxiously awaiting book 7.

The worse usage for this one was one of the worsts that I have ever read. Seriously these spicy authors need to learn better word choices. I loved the other books but this one was horrible.

I wasn't entirely sure going into this book what to expect since as much as I knew the synopsis and had seen the tropes involved, the main characters were ones that hadn't appeared too much in the previous books and felt like a bit of a mystery. I was not disappointed with the outcome. When I first saw that there was going to be puppy play in this book i wasn't sure what to think since it's something I haven't read about before but oh man the way Katee wrote it was soooo good. The puppy play combined with the grovelling was perfect and I felt like Orpheus paid his penance well. I would've loved to see even more mutual pining/friends to lovers between Eurydice and Charon but what was there was well done and I realize to keep the story moving there couldn't be too much time spent on that.
At this point in the series the books definitely need to be read in order otherwise you'll miss plot points and get confused at times. I like the long-term storyline going on with the politics, drama, and protection of Olympus. This book made me even more curious about what Hermes's story will be. I can't wait to see the outcome of this whole storyline.
Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebooks for the e-copy

I enjoyed this installment into the Dark Olympus series. I can’t wait until the next one. I love this spicy but also the plot line the stories are taking. It’ll be interesting to see what happens next.

Spicy spicy. This was a good installment in the dark Olympus series. This book involved a love triangle. It seemed a little rushed and there wasn’t as much relationship development but boy does Katee know how to turn on the spice action. You need a waterhose to cool down.

3.5 stars
This was another decent entry in the Dark Olympus series and it definitely has some big moments and stuff for the overarching plot. This one is a polyamorous triangle with Eurydice, Charon ( her best friend), and her ex Orpheus who is a mess. Lots of power play and groveling as well as a humiliation kink (we love to see it). I wish that there was a bit more development in the relationship cause it felt kind of rushed and not quite complete.
Thank you Sourcebooks and Netgalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Another great book in this series! Of course it had all the spice, but also plot and great characters. I love how I can pick up a new book from this series and immediately remember all the other books and characters!

The Neon Gods series is one of my favourites and Midnight Ruin didn't let it down. Overall if I had to rank the couples and stories in the series so far, I'd have to put this one lower on the list for both but I did still really enjoy the read. The political storylines are really ramping up now and I can not wait to see how it's all wrapped up and which couples are still to come. Always a great time.

I love my Greek and Roman mythology books. Though not really a fan of MFM relationships, this was at least a fun read. If Sierra Simone's book X Scarlett St. Clair, it would be this.

I always love Katee Robert's twists on Greek mythology, and this one does not disappoint. Nicely spicy, and a lot of fun.

I have read many books by this author and I will say that when it comes to this author, there is a bit of 'hit or miss' quality to the stories. I can't tell you that I love EVERYTHING she writes; oftentimes I find myself disappointed. Yet, I still finally myself giving her books a try because amongst all the 'awful' is some truly good stories.
The Dark Olympians series is another 'hit or miss' series for me. Some of the books have been good, while others have failed. This one had some shining moments between Eurydice and Charon, but then there where some that felt cringe-worthy (circa Cruel Intentions). Why would Eurydice want to be with Orpheus? I'm not against him being a painter, but he seems so wimpy and unwillingly to fight for her. It makes for a very odd dynamic.
I'm all for the MMF kinks and usually Robert's does this well but it felt like in this story she was just trying to push the envelope because the characters were 'gods' . Most of the situations with them together just didn't feel appropriate for their characters. Felt too forced. The whole story was a let down for me but I understand that my thoughts may have been differing from others.
** Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the opportunity to review this advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion **

Eurydice is honestly one of the side characters that I have been most interested in their story. The sheltered little sister of Persephone. The one who she and Hades fiercely protects after what happened with Orpheus (via Zeus) in the first book. Now that it's finally here, I can say that it truly lived up to the hype.
Eurydice's story with Charon, Hades's right-hand man and Orpheus is one that I wasn't expecting. Charon, her fierce protector, has been in love with her since he was assigned by Hades to guard her, but considering how her last relationship with Orpheus went... he's kept his thoughts and hands to himself until Eurydice sneaks away to Hades club all on her own. When Charon catches her... the sparks and the romance fly. Add in her feelings for her ex.. who happens to be bi, just like Charon, and you have the spark that ignites a fiery passion I didn't expect.
Midnight Ruin is MMF, and this relationship style is fast becoming one of my favorites. Why choose between the two men in her life when she can have them both. It's the best of both worlds really.
Now to wait until August for the next one.

This series is great, and the newest addition is no exception. The modern spin on greek mythology is unique, particularly combined with the spicy romance. Recommended for any urban fantasy romance fan!

This was a good addition to the Dark Olympus series. It was well-written and the chapters were spaced easily. The characters were likable and the plot was enjoyable. It followed up on other characters that we had read about in past books.
