thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.
This one was a lot better than book one. I still think that it could have been a tad better as it was still a little slow. However, I think that the ending of this one was what readers and myself loved. It was just what I was looking for.
I adore Mia Sheridan and have loved almost every single thing she’s put out in the world (right down to her energy and gold hearted vibes). However, this duet was a complete mixed bag for me.
What I liked: uncovering the truth about Hector and the origins of Acadia. Actually, I think I might have liked even more insight into that and how things went from bad to worse for him, and the inevitable fallout of that. I also liked the evolution of Calder, the truths he had to acknowledge and accept about himself and his own origin story. I adored Xander and his steadfast loyalty to both Calder and Eden. And, of course, I loved the ending. It was sweet, hard fought, and really gave the exact sort of closure that the story needed.
What I didn’t like: It was a bit repetitive. The story dragged for me in the middle and I found myself skimming to get to the missing puzzle pieces I was missing. I think somehow the chemistry between Calder and Eden didn’t work for me. I wasn’t as invested in their love story as I was in their greater life stories. As a romance, it fell flat. But as a story about surviving a cult and finding yourself in the aftermath – it was really quite interesting.
In all, I’m glad I read it. I was fascinated in some parts, and feel satisfied with the story as a whole. It’s not my favorite from this author, but it was solid in its own right.
NetGalley Review — my rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
“Finding Eden” by Mia Sheridan is the second in the Acadia duology. This starts at the cliffhanger left in “Becoming Calder” and just goes!
Without saying too much, especially since this is a continuation of the first book, the story really wraps up quite nicely.
I would still say this is very different than anything I’ve read by Mia Sheridan but I enjoyed! Would recommend if you enjoy HEAs and a little Greek mythology/cult communities 🤣
Big thanks to @read_bloom for this ARC!

Once I finished the first book in the duology, I was immediately thankful I had more to expand my love of this storyline. It did not disappoint and I found myself reading furiously just to figure it out and continue with my engagement of these incredible characters in this fascinating setting. I recommend this to the fullest, but recommend you read the book that comes before it first as it will help make this a more amazing reading experience!
