I liked it but it felt forced and also not my cup of tea. If it is yours awesome and I am sure I know the right people to recommend this to I am just not one of them.

Dnfing this one- I’ve given it two shots now on two separate occasions and it’s just not grasping me. It’s really dark. And I’m not sure exactly why yet, but I got 25% of the way through and it’s not my vibe. Bummer cause I’m a big fan of Sophie larks other series

I completely struggled with this book. The writing was not good to me, I could not get the flow of the story at all.
I love a dark romance and there are many things about this that I usually eat up I just couldn’t do it. I am gonna try the second book in this duology and see if it redeems itself as a whole.

One thing I love about Sophie Lark, is her writing style and the fact that she knows the girlies love pictures. This book is edgy, gritty, suspenseful. Seriously recommend.

This was my very first dark romance book and I will never be the same. I can officially say that I am a dark romance girly because I ate this up! I was simultaneously speeding through it and wanting it to last forever. I love the fact that he hates that he’s so obsessed with her. I NEED more of Cole immediately!!

Thank you to NetGalley, Sophie Lark, Sourcebooks, and Bloom Books for the digital arc of this book.

Wow this was crazy. Like, INSANE! But I loved it and now I need to read the second book ASAP. Sophie Lark just knows how to write dark romance.

There Are No Saints by Sophie Lark is a dark serial killer romance! If you are familiar with Sophie Lark's books then you know they are super fast-paced and the romances are super steamy. This one did not disappoint and is even darker than some of her other books so definitely check the trigger warnings. It is also on the shorter side and ends in a crazy cliffhanger and I am planning on picking up the next book!
Thanks to NetGalley and Bloom Books for the ARC in exchange for a review!

There Are No Saints by Sophie Lark is the first book of the Sinners Duet. This book is a dark romance but it is so good and makes the reader want more. I mean, we get a serial killer vibe happening and the touch her and die trope. I'm so hear for it! Sophie Lark is a fantastic author and I will continue to read all the books!

I have so many mixed feelings about this book. I thought Butcher & Blackbird is the weirdest book I've read and yet here we are.

This book is something else, it's wild ride without brakes, the first half I didn't know whether to dnf or to keep going, but I kept reading. And idk if it was good idea. Reading this book was an experience I'm not sure I wanted.

The second half was 100% better than the first one, finally something started to happen and not only Mara's spiralling.

Cole is a psychopath, actual psychopath, not a cute villain, not a morally grey man, he. is. a. literal. psychopath. the way he didn't know whether to fuck Mara or kill her and she didn't know it either, but she came to him anyway, I'm sorry wha?!? Girl has no sense of self preservation.

And the ending being the biggest cliffhanger??? Rude. now I have to read the second book, cus you can't just leave it like that😒

Thank you Netgalley for providing digital advanced copy in exchange for honest review.

Give me more!! I've only been reading Sophie Lark since earlier this year, and she's already become one of my favorite authors. There hasn't been a book of hers I haven't enjoyed, and this time was no different. I loved everything about this story! From the serial killer rivalry to the romance, There Are No Saints is everything I hoped it would be. Darkness, intense chemistry, suspense, obsession's, gore, and steam all come together to form one hell of a story! There Are No Saints is the story of two powerful men, both acclaimed artists, psychopaths, serial killers, and rivals, who become obsessed with one girl. It's very smart, with clever and daring characters. Characters that think ahead and react on the spot with intelligence, who plot their next move with cunning, and question the motives of their brain and heart. Don't think you wont want to read book two after this because you will NEED it so have it ready!

so this was a very intriguing read and i was very hesitant as i am usually not a lark fan but this one had my interest more and kept me on my toes. it’s a lot darker and grittier than her other books.

This story is set within the San Francisco art scene. where we meet our acclaimed artists and notorious rivals Alastor Shaw and Cole Blackwell, along with the hardscrabble creative, Mara Eldritch.

Mara Catching the eye of Cole may not be a good thing, as his interest puts Mara in the sight of the infamous serial killer who is called the Beast of the Bay.

We get a perfect mixture between a thriller and a romance. I really love Sophies books and this was a fun read, I flew through it. Something about this world sophie created has me so intrigued and I need to read book 2 immediately.
