If you enjoy reading books from the YA Thriller genre you're not going to want to miss "The Summer She Went Missing" .

I've read most of the author's books and true to her style the storyline will grab ahold of your attention from the start and keep you turning pages up until the very end. This book had a nice balance of twists, mystery, suspense and romance as a sub plot.

I think it's going to do really well with both her fanbase and intended audience. Another solid Mystery Thriller!

Thank you Chelsea Ichaso, Net Galley and Sourcebooks Fire for providing me with an ARC of this book.

Chelsea Ichaso strikes again with another work of perfection, raising the stakes for all Young Adult Thriller writers.

Thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Fire for an advanced reader's copy of The Summer She Went Missing. I am beyond grateful to have lived and breathed this book for the last twenty-four hours. Dear Thriller lovers, if there is one author you do not want to miss out on, it's Chelsea Ichaso.

The Summer She Went Missing is, perhaps, my favorite of all of Ichaso's works thus far. In this ominous adventure, our main character Paige is joined by her best friend Audrey who suddenly goes missing during their annual vacation. Paige, and Audrey's older brother embark on a mission to solve not one, but two cases of missing girls in their summer town, but most leads are dead-ends, finding their peers untrustworthy. In this thriller, Paige doesn't know who she can trust. She's unsure that she trusts anyone, not even her missing best friend. This page turning novel will certainly appeal to anyone who loves a great thriller, but it highlights lighter moments that are swoon-worthy. Fans of Sarah Dessen, Jenny Han, Natalie D. Richards and Karen M. McManus are sure to obsess over this magnificent work by Chelsea Ichaso.

Ichaso's work is always so detail-oriented with great twists and jaw-dropping moments. Much like the work in her latest release, They're Watching You, the answers are right under your nose, but go right over your head, and WILL leave you speechless.

Ichaso always manages to write relatable, quirky main characters with strength, intelligence and humor that serve as great role models for young adults, and entertaining characters for readers of any age. I found myself laughing at Paige's dialogue. When you read this masterpiece, you'll understand what I mean, but her unique catalogue of phrases is adorable, humorous and relatable in all aspects. She is the character that is written for anyone, and I love her.

As I always say, what's a good thriller without a little romance? This story has plenty that will leave you giddy and swooning. Truly heartwarming!

Without spoiling anything, because what's a good spoiler, I'll leave you with one final thought:

Chelsea Ichaso is on fire, and if you miss out on reading The Summer She Went Missing, you truly are missing out on a masterpiece.

As always, I can't wait for whatever Chelsea Ichaso throws at me next. Beautifully constructed, twisty, and mind boggling with an utterly amazing ending, one of development and growth that is conclusive in every department imaginable.

Thanks again to Chelsea Ichaso, Sourcebooks Fire, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this before release. This book is my newest obsession.

I have only more recently began reading some YA thrillers as an adult and I am loving many of them and this one definitely stood out! It was fast-paced, twisty, and really had me feeling engaged in what was happening. I loved the author’s writing style and really liked the characters (even the ones I didn’t like! Haha!). The author did a great job of keeping you guessing and that, to me, is what makes a great mystery/thriller! Overall, I give this book a 4.5 and rounding to 5 for NetGalley! Great read!

I was happy to get an ARC copy of The Summer She Went Missing. This is my first book from Chelsea Ichaso and I love her writing style. This is a YA thriller and it was fast paced and kept me engaged. The story focuses on best friends Paige and Audrey. Their families come together every summer at Clearwater Ridge an affluent community. This summer the community is rocked because two girls are missing one of them is Audrey. Paige and Dylan ( Audrey’s brother) also fall for each other and have a summer romance. The following summer Paige and Dylan start investigating the disappearance of Audrey and find out that maybe the people they trust are not who they portray to be.

More like a 3.5. Thank you good reads for the ARC of this young adult thriller. I really enjoyed the start of this book. It had a lot of twists and turns, the characters were decent, and I liked that it focused more on the mystery than young adult drama. My biggest complaint was the ending. The villains motivation seemed not completely fleshed out and it just ruined the plot for me a little bit. I did enjoy how most things came together at the end. The epilogue wasn't my favorite but overall a decent, quick and easy read.

I really enjoyed this book! It had a mystery that kept me guessing until the very last chapters (seriously, I had no idea who the culprit was), a cute romance, and intriguing side characters (Madison, I'm talking about you!).

The reason I knocked a star off is because of a few issues I had with the main character. I thought she was a good enough protagonist and I even laughed at a few of her jokes (while the rest had me cringing in secondhand embarrassment), but she just felt a little 2D to me. Also, I thought it was a little weird that she got angry at her love interest for something she quite literally did the chapter beforehand. That whole situation felt less like it was important to the story and more like the author wanted to add a little drama to their relationship.

All in all, though, it held my attention and I'd definitely recommend it to friends!

Review: Such a good book!!! Loved that other characters POVs were sprinkled in between Paige’s. This book had me guessing until the end! I kept thinking I had it figured out, and then realized I was SO wrong! I loved every minute of this wild ride and the ending was so perfect! Would definitely recommend! Thank you @netgalley and @sourcebooks for the advanced copy!

The Summer She Went Missing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a YA mystery/thriller.

Paige and her family have been visiting Clearwater Ridge every summer since she can remember. The Covingtons are family friends and are among the wealthy in town. Audrey, Paige’s best friend, and her brother Dylan, whom she has a crush on, are always there, they share a vacation home. It’s starting out to be a great summer, that is until Audrey starts acting weird and then one day disappears. No one really knows what happened to her.

The following year, her family decides to go back to the vacation home and make the best of it. That’s when Paige finds a secret in Audrey’s room. Her and Dylan start their own investigation and take a better look at their so called friends. They discover some of the families of Clearwater Ridge have many secrets and they will do almost anything to keep them hidden.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It had me questioning a few of the characters and their intentions. It had some good suspense and twist thrown it. I also enjoyed the growing relationship between Paige and Dylan. Not only was this a whodunnit mystery but it had a cute romance in there, which I enjoyed. It’s definitely a easy binge read. This book launches March 5, 2024. Be sure to add to your TBR list!

Thanks you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Fire for my digital ARC copy. This is my honest and voluntary opinion.

That was fun ride of a thriller. I was able to fly through the pages and it kept me interested the whole book. There were plenty of twits to keep me guessing til the end. I will check out more thrillers from this author. I would recommend giving it a read if you enjoy YA thrillers.

Thank you Netgalley and Sourcebooks fire for the digital arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

I thought the story started out really well but the ending was too convoluted . I found issue with the three main characters supposedly playing as kids at another teen's house but they never knew his brother? The brother was only four years older. As kids they would have known him too.

This was pretty good, obviously meant to be a YA thriller type novel but I enjoyed it as an adult. It had hints of The Summer I Turned Pretty (two vacationing families, etc) but the added aspect of one of the teens going missing was good and it was well written, and kept my attention through the entire book.

This YA thriller will have you turning each page and questioning who the real culprit is. Not to give too much away but it was a really good read and will have you guessing partway through with new character's thrown into the twist.

I haven’t loved a book as much as I loved this one in quite some time. I LOVED Paige. The fact that she was so awkward and talked like an old person was so endearing. I think it really added to the story that she was so well written.
Many times I thought I had the mystery all figured out, and I was always wrong.
Chelsea Ichaso is officially a new auto buy author for me after this one. Excuse me while I read everything else she’s ever written.

Thank you Netgalley and Firereads for letting me read early in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks for this ARC that comes out March 5,2024. The summer she went missing is a YA thriller, where Paige’s best friend goes missing. It started off really strong, I loved that we got a little background about what happened the summer Aubrey went missing. A year goes by and Paige and her ex boyfriend Dylan go looking for Aubrey. There was a couple of twists, and I enjoyed this story! There was some romance in the book between characters, and you wonder who “the girl” is the entire time.

Thank you Sourcebooks Fire and Netgalley for this eARC, these opinions are my own. Thrilling and I couldn’t put it down! Paige has returned to Clearwater Ridge for the summer to spend time with her best friend Audrey and their families. It’s also an opportunity to spend time with Dylan, Audrey’s older brother. But as things heat between them, Audrey begins to cut Paige off. Never spending time with her and even kicking her out of her bedroom. Then Audrey just doesn’t come home. A summer later it’s been ten months and Audrey is still missing. Paige’s family returns to Clearwater Ridge but she’s not sure she can handle the awkwardness. Especially as her and Dylan drifted apart as well. When the two find a clue in Audrey’s room they’ll stop at nothing to figure out where she is. And what does her disappearance have to do with another girl who went missing shortly before Audrey? Can they figure out what is going on? Did they really know Audrey? Are they putting themselves in harms way? I enjoyed that there were multiple mysteries going on and the same time. And the sections focusing on The Girl really added to the intrigue and kept me guessing as to who she was! An intriguing mystery plot with a side of romance that will keep you invested until the very end! Can’t wait to read it again!

This was a riveting missing person story around a group of wealthy friends whose families spend every summer in an exclusive, waterfront area. Paige’s best friend, Audrey, goes missing without a trace during one of these vacations. Both Paige and her love interest, Dylan, who is also Audrey’s brother, stumble upon some clues that lead them into a suspenseful and plot-twisting investigation. Recommended for anyone who enjoys mysteries, domestic drama, and stories centered around young adults. Thank you for the opportunity to read!!
