A brilliant read and one I really enjoyed. The characters are loveable and varied, the plot is one that is engaging and medium paced. I found myself completely drawn into the story and enjoyed the writing style.
What an emotional ride this was! I must say I cried from beginning to end, but it was worth every tear.
This was such a beautiful story and so extremely well developed. There are some important life lessons inside, so if you're reading this - please give this book a chance. You won't regret it!
I willingly received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.
Through the Snow Globe is a sweet, lovely romance book. It's perfect for lovers of Groundhog's Day or the movie Last Christmas. The characters are developed and learning more and more about them as we SPOILER ALERT re-live the same day each time. This is the perfect feel-good holiday romance to read when looking for a cozy night in. This is a great read!
Through the Snow Globe is a fantastic Christmas romance about a woman stuck in a Groundhog Day-like time loop of the day her fiance gets into an accident. It really is a fresh story with excellent characters and a great Christmassy vibe. The main character Diana tries to tweak the day each time to get the end results she is going for, however, it still ends in heartbreak each day. She needs to figure out how to end the loop and that may very well mean saying goodbye to her fiance Linus, who lies in a coma. Diana is a perfect main character for this story. She is smart, funny, sarcastic, and really reacts the way a lot of us would given the situation. Linus her finace, Joann her soon-to-be MIL, and her best bud Ro are also all top-notch characters. I have to say I found the ending to be a pleasant surprise. This is a great addition to your Christmas book pile, it will make you laugh and maybe even give you a little hope. I look forward to reading more by this author.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
A great book to get you in the Christmas spirit!
Diana’s fiancé, Linus was on an accident and is in a coma. She’s having a hard time an d starts to lose hope. After a visit with a neighbor, Diana wakes the next morning and realizes it’s December 4th, the morning of Linus’ accident. Can she change things? Can she stop the accident and heartbreak?
This was a beautifully written story. I LOVE a good time loop, and this was such a cute one with a fun spin on it! You could feel the magic and empathize with the characters. I loved watching Diana as she managed her way through her “groundhogs day” life. This was a heartwarming book that reminds you to always be thankful for what you truly have in life. A great holiday read that I definitely recommend!

Diana Merrimans fiancé, Linus, Has had a terrible accident days before christmas. When she discovers a snow globe gift from Linus on Christmas Eve, her world takes an unexpected turn.
Diana finds herself trapped in a time loop, reliving the day of Linus's accident repeatedly. Determined to save him, she embarks on a journey to alter the course of fate. However, as she navigates the complexities of time and love, Diana discovers startling truths about herself and her relationship with Linus.
This novel is a compelling and touching story with a thought-provoking perspective on the nature of time and the resilience of the human heart.
Firstly i must admit to chosing this book solely based on the cover.... something i almost never do. i therefore had zero expectations and as a result ended up being completely blown away by it. THere's true sadness, warm romance and what i can only describe as Groundhog Day. i loved the writing style adn will be looking out for future works from the author.
This was a "Groundhog Day" story, it did get a bit repetitive (I know thats the point), but it got there in the end, its a story of finding yourself and learning to be a better person
Diana lives in a small town. She works as a physical therapist and is engaged to Linus. Diana is good a her job but she isn't good at opening up to people. She fears getting close to her future mother-in-law.
She is hesitant to set a wedding date. She doesn't get a promotion at work and then Linus is in a tragic accident. There isn't much hope for his recovery but maybe, just maybe a wish can change it all. The wish causes a ground hound day reaction forcing Diana to live each day over and attempt to change the course of her and Linus's life.
I absolutely LOVED this book. I fell in love with the characters. It might only be August but this put me in the Christmas spirit! Can we also talk about how perfect this cover is?
Sweet, emotional holiday story! 3.5 stars
This book was a fanciful tale of the ability of believing in enchantment can bring hope for a new ending. Diana and her fiancee Linus are happy, but there's an underlying current of discontent. Diana hasn't been willing to settle on a wedding date, for a number of reasons. She's unsettled in her professional life, too, and most of this is due to the way her grandmother brought her up. Her grandmother is a very stern, no frills kind of person who was dependent on no one and raised Diana to be the same way.
When Linus is in a terrible accident, Diana just wants to be able to set things straight. She talks about it to a neighbor, who places an enchantment on a snow globe Linus purchased and hid for Diana's Christmas gift. From that moment on, Diana experiences the day of Linus' accident again and again, the outcome never changes. Will one more time be the charm?
This book could easily be made into a movie on that channel...and kudos for including fostering and adopting in the story!
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.
A great feel good read that you will not want to put down. I really enjoyed this one. I will definitely read again.
I'm so glad NetGalley gave me an ARC of this book. The premise of the story is interesting - I love time-loop stories! - and the chapters are short too. I didn't like Diana at first. I find her calloused and cold. Her selfishness made me set the book down a few times, and I had to find it in me to want to care about her as the story progressed. But overall, it's a good Christmas story about growth, second chances, friendship, family and love. I like Annie Rains' writing style. The way she writes brings a good flow to the story.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are entirely my own,
I love a good Christmas book and so I went in with so much excitement and vigor. It's deliciously good but at times heartbreaking. It tells the story of Diana whose fiancé was hit by a car on his way from work hours after missing out on something she wanted. To her surprise she discovers a gift from her fiancé which happens to be a snow globe and alas the snow globe is 'magical' as she finds herself waking up again on the day of the accident. It's a time loop romance /second chance Christmas romance that will melt the grinchiest of hearts.
…
I thought this was going to be a sort of groundhog story but that couldn't be further from the truth. It's a great story with plenty going on, worthy of 5 stars.
Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for this ARC
This was such a sweet read! This story gave me all of the hallmark Christmas movie vibes. Filled with love, heartbreak and hope, you wont be able to put this book down! I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.
I have enjoyed books by this author in the past and I just knew this would be such an enjoyable read. I am so ready to start reading this year’s Christmas books.
Through the Snow Globe is fun, caring and optimistic.
I have not read many time-loop books but this one was a hit with me and now I’ll be looking for more.
Diana Merriman, a physical therapist, is not looking forward to Christmas. Her fiancée has been critically injured on his bicycle and is fighting for his life. Before his serious injury their relationship isn’t in the best shape. He really would like to make wedding plans but she’s avoiding anything wedding related. She wants to advance in her career first. I didn’t like Diana’s character at first, she seems self-centered.
When Diana finds an enchanted snow globe in Linus’s closet it changes her life. This beautiful snow globe puts her in a time-loop as she relives December 4th over and over again. She experiences every possible scenario of what has already happened on this day. The good and the bad.
Diana learns a lot about self-discovery and what really is important in life and her relationships. You can emphasize with her character as she knows what’s going to happen. I just loved the ending and seeing Diana and Linus having another chance at happiness.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book.
All opinions expressed are my own.
It’s been three weeks since Diana's fiancé Linus was in an accident and fell into a coma. She can’t help losing a little more hope every day. But an unexpected visit from a friendly neighbor and finding a snow globe of Snow Haven—a gift Linus had hidden in the closet—the night before Christmas Eve changes everything. Because on Christmas Eve Diana wakes up to find that it’s somehow December 4 all over again, the day Linus got hurt.
What followed was Diana trying to save her fiancé from his fate whilst everything else in that day remained the same or got worse. She had a lot to work through and figure out, whether it was the promotion that she wanted, her relationship with her patients, and even her acceptance of Linus' large family.
It was all so beautiful to see, even having eight-year-old Dustin stuck in the same time loop as her. These two needed each other, and that made for a beautiful ending.
This was my first ever time loop story and I loved it. Haven't watched Groundhog Day though 🤭
Thank you to Netgalley and Publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was my most anticipated Christmas story this year and to be honest it really lived up to every expectation i had for it, It is heartbreaking and heartwarming all at once and really stays with you after reading it. I really haven't stopped thinking about it since I finished. Highly recommend!
